Drum washing machine, usable as a spin dryer
The invention relates to a drum washing line and aims to do so
to design that it is used both for washing and for swinging the laundry.

In the drawing is an example embodiment of the invention
Washing machine illustrated. It shows Fig. I an insight into the washing machine,
Fig. 2 is a view of Fig. I in the direction of the arrow, with the outer wall partially
3 is a section along line B-B in FIG. 2.
Die Waschmaschine (Fig. i) zeigt eineperforierte Wäschetrommel i,
ii treibt.
Waschprozeß erforderlichen Geschwindigkeit an.
in der Trommel i befindliche Wäsche ausgeschwungen.
The washing machine (Fig. I) shows a perforated laundry drum i,
which, as usual, is stored in the caustic trough 3 with bearing journals 2. The leach trough
3
is provided with a heating device 5, by means of which the
Lye is heated or kept at a certain temperature. To drive the washing drum
A motor 6 is used, which has two shaft ends 7 and 8. On the shaft end 7
a V-belt pulley 9 is attached, which via the belt io on a countershaft
ii drives. From the back gear i i a belt 12 drives the pulley 13, which
rotatably seated on the coupling axis 14. The coupling axis 14 is in the bearings
15 and 16 stored. A belt pulley is seated on the other end of the shaft 8 of the motor 6
17, which is also rotatably mounted on the shaft 14 via the V-belt 18
V-belt pulley i9 drives. The two pulleys 13 and i9 turn loosely
on the axis 14. and are alternately through the multi-plate clutches 2o and '21
coupled to the shaft 14. These multi-plate clutches are operated by the fork lever
23 controlled, which is operated by the lever 24. The lever 24 is with a handle
25 provided, which protrudes beyond the wall 26, so that the couplings 2ound2i
are controllable from outside. With the shaft end 8 of the motor 6 is also the
Rotor of a pump 27 connected via the pipe 28 through a filter z9 the,
Sucks the lye from the container 3 and pushes it out of the machine through the pipe 3o.
The V-belt pulley 31 is seated on the shaft 14 and the belt pulley via the belt 32
33, which sits on the journal 2 of the drum i and drives the drum i.
If the multi-disc clutch 20 is switched on by the lever 24, the belt then drives
io via the countershaft i i and the belt 12 to the shaft 14, and that on this
seated pulley 31 drives the drum i via the belt 32 with the one for the
Speed required for the washing process. The engine is known by, not
Drawn means switched reversing, so that the washing drum alternately
rotates in one or the other direction of rotation. It can also be used for two speeds
be switched so that four speeds via the clutch gear for rotating the drum
are available, of which the two smaller ones are reversing. Will go through
the handle 25 switched on the clutch 21, then the motor drives via the belt
i8 the shaft 14 directly, and via the belt 32 the drum i is set to a number of revolutions
brought, which is sufficient to swing the laundry. The washing process happens
as known, in such a way that after loading the laundry into the drum i and
Filling the trough 3 with lye, the laundry drum i alternately for a certain time
is rotated in both directions of rotation. Subsequently, the cock 34,
which is controlled with the lever 34 °, the lye is sucked out of the trough 3,
so that it empties. Now, by switching the handle 25, the drum
i brought up to a high number of revolutions, with the reversing circuit of the motor switched off
so that the drum only rotates in one direction of rotation, then the
The laundry in the drum i swung out. One of the machine walls can
also be provided with a water tank 40 in which the water is electrically heated
will.
