Einrichtung zur Warmbehandlung von Metallblöcken, insbesondere aus
Messing, in einem elektrischen Ofen Beim elektrischen Erhitzen. von Metallblökken
bedient man sich vielfach eines Durch gangsofens mit Widerstandsbeheizung, z. B.
in der Form des Rollofens. Die Blöcke werden dabei im vorderen Teil des Ofens aufgeheizt
und erlangen beim Fortschreiten zum Ofenende hin, indem sie sich gleichmäßig durchwärmen,
allmählich die gewünschte Endtemperatur. Diese Art der elektrischen Erhitzung bedingt
eine verhältnismäßig große Baulänge des Ofens und vor allem eine lange Dauer des
Erwärmungsprozesses. Die Durchlaufbewegung der Blöcke pflegt man beim Rollofen dadurch
einzuleiten, daß der gerade vor dem Auslauf stehende Block dem Ofen entnommen wird,
worauf die hinter ihm liegenden Blöcke von selbst nachrollen. Um das Nachrollen
sicherzustellen, sind unter Umständen besondere Vorrichtungen erforderlich, die
ein Verklemmen und Verkanten der Blöcke beim Rollen verhindern, oder man muß am
Ofen seitliche Türen vorsehen und die verkanteten Blöcke durch die Türöffnungen
hindurch mittels geeigneter Werkzeuge wieder in die richtige Lage bringen. Benutzt
man an Stelle des Rollofens einen Durchgangsofen anderer Art, so -ergeben sich wieder
andere Nachteile. So bringt z. B. die Fortbewegung der Blöcke auf einer Förderkette
verhältnismäßig große Wärmeverluste mit sich. Durch einen Ofen mit Hubballcenförderung
lassen sich die Wärmeverluste zwar vermindern, dafür muß
man aber

=Die Erfindung bezweckt, eine Einrichtung zur Wärmebehandlung von

schaffen, die von den anhv. gebenen Nachteilen v öllig frei ist und sich itsbesondere
auch zur Erhitzung von Blöcken ,Aijt; großer abstrahlender Oberfläche auf eine liiiltnisniäßig
hohe Endtemperatur eignet. Gemäß der Erfindung wird dies dadurch erreicht, daß im
vorderen Teil des vorzugsweise «-iderstandsbeheizten Ofens bzw. in einem Zuführungskanal
zum Ofenratitn eine mit Stromzuführungsbacken versehene Elektrodenvorrichtung an
sich bekannter Art angeordnet ist, in welcher die Blöcke mittels Stromdurchgangs
vorgewärmt werden, worauf -sie nach Beförderung in den eigentlichen Ofenraum in
diesem auf die gewünschte Endtemperatur erhitzt und bis zur gleichmäßigen Durchwärmüng
belassen werden. Dabei wird also jeder Block einzeln erwärmt. Nach beendeter Erhitzung
kann der Block sofort zur Weiterbearbeitung einer Presse oder sonstigen Vorrichtung
zugeführt werden; er macht dadurch einem neuen Block Platz. der von der Elektrodenvorrichtung
aufgenommen und gleich dem vorigen durch Stromwärme erhitzt wird usw. Natürlich
ist es niöglicli, mehrere Metallblöcke in dieser Weise dadurch gleichzeitig zu erliitzen,
daß man sie in eine entsprechende Anzahl Elektrodenvorrichtungen einspannt und sie
von dem die Erhitzung bewirkenden elektrischen Strom in Parallel-, Reihen- oder
Mehrphasenschaltung durchfließen läßt. Bei Anwendung einer Reihenschaltung hat das
