z. B. Silikagel, gefüllten Prüfröhrchens Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum
Nachweis von Lost mittels Natriumjodid und Kupfersulfat.Method for the detection of mustard by means of an adsorbent,
z. B. silica gel, filled test tube The invention relates to a method for
Detection of mustard using sodium iodide and copper sulfate.
According to Grignard's mustard evidence, it is already known to use sodium iodide
and to use copper sulfate for this purpose. But the Grignard method has
the disadvantage of not being in the test tube, d. H. one with a colorless adsorbent
filled tubes to be used, because after Grignard Lost one of the turbidity
sodium iodide solution mixed with a few drops of copper sulphate is recognized. the
Detection of a warfare agent enriched in a colorless adsorbent
however, requires a color reaction and not turbidity.
According to the invention, this requirement is met in that one -das
Adsorbents, e.g. B. silica gel, soaked with an approximately 5% copper sulfate solution,
carefully dries, then with a reducing agent, e.g. B. potassium bisulfite, powders
and after passing through the air to be examined, the adsorbent with a
soaks about 5 ° 10% sodium iodide solution. If the mustard is adsorbed, it occurs
a clearly visible dark brown discoloration of the adsorbent on the with
Lost-laden places by the iodine excreted by the copper sulphate
.The adsorbed mustard accumulates. The places of the adsorbent on which
there is no lost item. remain colorless, as this is primarily cleared from copper sulphate
Iodine from Kaliumbistilfit is reduced immediately.
dar.During the Grignard mustard reaction, the solution becomes cloudy
by exchanging the chlorine atoms of the mustard with the iodine ions of the solution, d. H. by
Formation of the insoluble iodolest occurs and this reaction is caused by copper sulphate
is catalyzed. is done in the method according to the foregoing invention
that from the front-5
in on the adsorbent located copper sulfate
freed iodine to the also before .dem impregnation of the A.'dsorptionsmittel with
1 Sodium iodide solution has already accumulated mustard and the iodine is heavy
made reducible. The resulting discoloration of the adsorbent on the
places loaded with lost material corresponds to the requirements for a warfare agent -.- detection
be placed by means of a detection tube. At the same time, this procedure represents a novel one
Use of sodium iodide, known per se, for the identification of mustard
represent.
This type of use of an iodine compound to detect mustard
is also new compared to the well-known mustard detection using iodic acid, since the latter
Process only by the must iodine in, which acts as a reducing agent
Freedom is set, a reaction that is caused by any other reducing agent
is also effected. The iodine that has been set free is connected here
with lost not one, while the digested strength with which the adsorbent
is prepared according to this procedure, only for better recognition of the iodine
serves. The strength has no influence on the actual reaction mechanism,
while copper sulphate, which serves as an oxidizing agent and which is used as an adsorbent
is prepared according to the method of the present invention to initiate the
Recognition reaction is absolutely necessary.
