Description
Method of making die cut paper collars The invention relates to a process for the production of punched paper collars, which rides a Linen embossing and a pigmented cellulose ester lacquer coating exhibit.
So far, paper collars of this type have been made in the manner that grained paper, so-called linen paper, with a zinc-white acetylcellulose solution has been coated by dipping. However, the paint layer was either too thick applied so that the structure of the base disappeared together with the linen pattern, or else, when using a too thin lacquer coating it seemed that the more or less yellowish paper backing through.
According to the invention, these disadvantages are to be avoided by that you can paint the pigment-containing paint by spraying on the punched, with linen embossing provided cardboard backing applies, in such a thin layer that the Linen embossing: remains recognizable. In this way it is possible to measure the application mass set accordingly without having to use very dilute paint solutions. `It has also been suggested to use a To provide coating device with a lacquer coating. The application of the lacquer coating by spraying according to the present method but has the advantage that only the cardboard parts used for paper collars are provided with a vain varnish coating, while the scrap pieces are not painted, but this is when a painting device is used is not the case, because in this case the entire paper web is coated first. Cellulose ester is particularly suitable as the lacquer, and titanium dioxide is advantageous as the pigment.
