Solche Lösungen zeichnen sich durch ihr auswählendes-Lösungsvermögen für den wirksamen Stoff aus. Diese Wirkung ist schon bei i %igen Lösungen des Ammoniaks zu beobachten; der günstigste Wirkungsgrad wird bei Ammoniakkonzentrationen von etwa io% erreicht. Zweckmäßig verwendet man alkoholisch-wässerige Ammoniakl.ösungen, womit zugleich die Mitauflösung anorganischer Ballaststoffe zurückgedrängt wird. An Stelle von Alkohol kann man auch andere mit Wasser mischbare !organisch-, Flüssigkeiten verwenden. Die so erhaltenen Lösungen können entweder nach der Entfernung des Ammoniaks und der organischen Flüssigkeit unmittelbar ,oder nach deiner weiteren Reinigung verwandt werden. Andererseits kann die wirksame Substanz aus den Lösungen auch durch wasserlösliche organische Flüssigkeiten ausgefällt werden. Die durch das beschriebene Verfahren erzielte Wirkung erscheint außerordentlich überraschend, da die Empfindlichkeit des Hormons gegenüber- der Einwirkung von freien Alkalien bekannt ist.
