Description
Verfahren zur Anreicherung und Reinigung eines die männliche Sexualhormonwirkung steigernden Aktivators Durch Arbeiten von L a q u e u r und Mitarbeiter (s. z. B. Zeitschi. für physiolog. Chemie, Bd. 233 [19351, S. 281; Acta brevia Neerlandica, Bd.5 [t935], S.84) wurde in Extrakten aus tierischen Organen, Körperflüssigkeiten oder auch aus pflanzlichem Material eine Verbindung nachgewiesen, die, obschon an und für sich unwirksam, die Wirkung gewisser männlicher Hormone, wie Testosteron, Dihydroandr osteron, z. B. auf die Samenblase sehr zu steigern vermag.. Es wurde nun gefunden, daß sich dieser Aktivator für männliche Hormone anreichern und reinigen läßt, wenn man aktivatorhaltige Präparate, insbesondere auch rolle oder vorgereinigte Extrakte aus tierischen Organen, menschlichen oder tierischen Körperflüssigkeiten oder pflanzlichem Material, einer Vakuumdestillation unterwirft. überraschenderweise gelingt es auf diesem Wege, den Aktivator ohne Einbuße seiner Wirksamkeit als farbloses Destillat aufzufangen und eine Reihe von Verunreinigungen, namentlich auch Pigmente, als Destillationsrückstand abzutrennen. Daraus war aber das vorliegende Verfahren zur Reinigung und Anreicherung des an und für sich unwirksamen Aktivators in keiner Weise abzuleiten. überdies ist es überraschend, daß sich dieser Aktivator unzersetzt destillieren läßt. Beispiel Eine saure Fraktion aus Hoden, wie sie durch Ausziehen eines Hodehextraktes mit verdünntem Alkali, Ansäuern, Extraktion der sauren Bestandteile z. B. mit Äther und Vertreiben des Lösungsmittels erhalten werden kann, wird im Hochvakuum bei 0,0005 mm Quecksilber destilliert. Man fängt die bei 125 bis 14o° übergehende farblose Fraktion auf, die sich zu einer stearinartigen Masse verfestigt.
