Description
- Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft neue 2-(Benzotriazol-2-yl)-4-alkyl-6-(2-hydroxy-3-benzoylbenzyl)phenole und mit diesen Verbindungen stabilisierte Massen (Zusammensetzungen).
- Die UV-Absorptionsmittel der 2H-Benzotriazol- und Benzophenon-Art sind seit langem als sehr wirksame Lichtstabilisatoren für eine Vielzahl von organischen Materialien bekannt und erfreuen sich beträchtlichem kommerziellem Erfolg.
- Die Beschreibung, Herstellung und Verwendungen der 2H-Benzotriazol-UV-Absorptionsmittel wird in US-Patent-Nrn. 3 004 896; 3 055 896; 3 072 585; 3 074 910; 3 189 615; 3 230 194; 4 127 586; 4 226 763; 4 278 589; 4 315 848; 4 383 863; 4 675 352; 4 681 905 und 4 853 471 gelehrt.
- Die Beschreibung, Herstellung und Verwendungen der Benzophenon-UV-Absorptionsmittel findet man meinem neueren Übersichtsartikel von G.R. Lapin in "Encyclopedia of Polymer Science and Technology", N. Bikales, Herausgeber, John Wiley- Interscience, New York, Band 14, 1971, Seiten 125-148.
- Unter gewissen Umständen zeigen die Benzotriazol- und Benzophenon-UV-Absorptionsmittel begrenzte Verträglichkeit mit bestimmten Substraten und/oder eine übermäßige Neigung zum Ausschwitzen, Sublimieren oder Verdampfen während des Verarbeitens der stabilisierten Massen zu Platten, Folien, Fasern oder Häutchen, wenn das Verarbeiten bei hohen Temperaturen erfolgen muß. Derartige Verbindungen können auch durch Verdampfen oder Sublimation aus hergestellten Strukturen, insbesondere dünnen Filmen, Beschichtungen oder Fasern und insbesondere, wenn solche Strukturen während der Anwendung erhöhter Temperatur ausgesetzt werden, in starkem Maße verlorengehen.
- Es wurden Versuche unternommen, die Verträglichkeit zu erhöhen und das Verdampfen durch Modifizieren der Struktur des Benzotriazols zu vermindern. US-Patent-Nr. 3 230 194 lehrt, daß eine höhere Alkylgruppe (tert-Octyl) anstelle einer Niederalkylgruppe (Methyl) die Verträglichkeit und Leistung des substituierten Benzotriazols in Polyethylen verbessert.
- In US-Patent-Nrn. 4 278 590; 4 283 327 und 4 383 863 wird gleichfalls erläutert, daß 2-(2-Hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-octylphenyl)-2H-benzotriazol eine ausgezeichnete Kombination von Verträglichkeit mit und/oder Löslichkeit in zahlreichen Polymersubstraten aufweist, verbunden mit überlegener Beständigkeit gegen Verlust an Stabilisierung während der Hochtemperaturverarbeitung, bei Endverbrauchsanwendungen, wenn Beschichtungen oder Folien aus stabilisierten Massen Witterung und Licht ausgesetzt werden und bei photographischen Anwendungen.
- US-Patent-Nr. 4 675 352 lehrt, daß flüssige Benzotriazole geringer Flüchtigkeit durch Alkylierung aus vorgebildetem 2-(2-Hydroxy-5-methylphenyl)-2H-benzotriazol hergestellt werden.
- US-Patent-Nrn. 3 936 305; 4 681 905; 4 684 680; 4 684 679 und 5 108 835 lehren 2,2'-Methylen-bis-[4-hydroxycarbonyl-6-(benzotriazol-2-yl)phenole] mit hohen molaren Aktivitäten und geringer Flüchtigkeit.
- US-Patent-Nrn. 3 399 237 und 4 169 089 und Japanische Patentanmeldungen Sho 53-113849; 57-6470; 49-78692; 50-74579 und 50-86487 beziehen sich auf die entsprechende Klasse von Verbindungen geringer Flüchtigkeit mit hohen molaren Aktivitäten, nämlich die Methylen-bis(2-hydroxybenzophenone).
- US-Patent-Nr. 5 166 355 beschreibt ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von 2,2'-Methylen-bis-[6-(2H-benzotriazo-2-yl)-4- kohlenwasserstoffphenol] oder 5,5'-Methylen-bis-(2-hydroxy-4- alkoxybenzophenon unter Verwendung von Bis(dialkylamino)methan.
- Die vorliegenden Verbindungen zeigen geringe Flüchtigkeit und ausgezeichnete Absorptionseigenschaften in einem breiten Ultraviolettlichtbereich. Ihre photographische Inertheit ist insbesondere in photographischen Massen, insbesondere beim Schutz von Farbbildern gegen schädliche Einflüsse von Ultraviolettlicht, verwendbar.
- Eine Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, einige neue UV-Absorptionsmittel mit überlegener Stabilisierungswirksamkeit bereitzustellen.
- Eine weitere Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, durch Versetzen mit erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen neue photographische Elemente, die vor den nachteiligen Wirkungen aktinischer Strahlung geschützt sind, bereitzustellen.
- Die Erfindung betrifft 2-(Benzotriazol-2-yl)-4-alkyl- 6-(2-hydroxy-3-benzoyl-benzyl)-phenole und durch diese Verbindungen stabilisierte Massen. Solche Massen schließen photographische Elemente, polymere Substrate, Beschichtungen, Fasern und Folien ein.
- Insbesondere betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung Verbindungen der Formel I
- worin
- T&sub1; Wasserstoff, Chlor, Alkyl mit 1 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatomen oder -SO&sub3;H darstellt,
- T&sub2; Alkyl mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt,
- E&sub1; Wasserstoff, Chlor oder -OE&sub2; darstellt,
- E&sub2; Wasserstoff oder Alkyl mit 1 bis 18 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt,
- E&sub3; Wasserstoff, Alkyl mit 1 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatomen, Chlor oder -SO&sub3;H darstellt,
- E&sub4; Wasserstoff, Chlor oder -OE&sub5; darstellt,
- E&sub5; Wasserstoff oder Alkyl mit 1 bis 18 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt und
- E&sub6; Wasserstoff, Hydroxyl oder Carboxy darstellt.
- Vorzugsweise ist T&sub1; Wasserstoff oder Chlor; am meisten bevorzugt Wasserstoff.
- Vorzugsweise ist T&sub2; Alkyl mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen; am meisten bevorzugt Alkyl mit 1 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen.
- Vorzugsweise ist E&sub1; -OE&sub2;, worin E&sub2; Wasserstoff oder Alkyl mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt; am meisten bevorzugt, worin E&sub2; Wasserstoff oder Alkyl mit 1 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt.
- Vorzugsweise ist E&sub3; Wasserstoff.
- Vorzugsweise ist E&sub4; Wasserstoff oder -OE&sub5;; worin E&sub5; Wasserstoff oder Alkyl mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt; am meisten bevorzugt ist E&sub4; -OE&sub5;, worin E&sub5; Wasserstoff oder Alkyl mit 1 bis 4 Kohlenstoffatomen bedeutet.
- Vorzugsweise ist E&sub6; Wasserstoff oder Hydroxyl.
- Insbesondere bevorzugt sind Verbindungen, worin T&sub1; Wasserstoff oder Chlor darstellt, T&sub2; Alkyl mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt, E&sub1; -OE&sub2; darstellt, wobei E&sub2; Wasserstoff oder Alkyl mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt, E&sub3; Wasserstoff darstellt, E&sub4; Wasserstoff oder -OE&sub5; darstellt, wobei E&sub5; Wasserstoff oder Alkyl mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen bedeutet und E&sub6; Wasserstoff oder Hydroxyl darstellt.
- Noch bevorzugter sind Verbindungen, worin T&sub1; Wasserstoff darstellt, T&sub2; Alkyl mit 1 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt, E&sub1; -OE&sub2; darstellt, wobei E&sub2; Alkyl mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen bedeutet und jeder der Reste E&sub3;, E&sub4; und E&sub6; Wasserstoff darstellt.
- Wenn einer der Reste T&sub1; bis E&sub6; Alkyl darstellt, sind solche Gruppen beispielsweise Methyl, Ethyl, Isopropyl, n-Butyl, Isobutyl, sec-Butyl, tert-Butyl, tert-Amyl, 2-Ethylhexyl, Isooctyl, tert-Octyl, Lauryl, tert-Dodecyl, Tridecyl, n-Hexadecyl und n-Octadecyl.
- Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ebenfalls stabilisierte Massen, umfassend
- (a) ein synthetisches Polymer, das nach Aussetzen aktinischen Lichts Abbau unterliegt und
- (b) eine wirksame stabilisierende Menge einer Verbindung der Formel I, wie vorstehend beschrieben.
- Die vorliegenden Verbindungen werden durch Erzeugen einer Mannich-Base eines 2H-Benzotriazols mit unbesetzter 3- Stellung am Phenylring und Umsetzen dieser Mannich-Base mit Benzophenon hergestellt. Die Benzophenone und die 2H-Benzotriazole sind größtenteils handelsüblich oder können leicht durch dem Fachmann bekannte Verfahren hergestellt werden. Die vorliegenden Verbindungen können ebenfalls durch Herstellen einer Mannich-Base des Benzophenons und Umsetzen desselben mit einem geeigneten 2H-Benzotriazol hergestellt werden.
- Die vorliegenden Verbindungen zeigen gute Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen Verdampfen, haben erhöhte Löslichkeit in ausgewählten Lösungsmitteln, haben erwünschte Ultraviolettlichtabsorptionseigenschaften und sind photographisch inert. Diese Eigenschaftskombination macht sie insbesondere in photographischen Massen, besonders beim Schutz von Farbbildern gegen schädliche Einwirkung von Ultraviolettlicht, verwendbar.
- Die vorliegenden Verbindungen sind als Ultraviolettlichtabsorptionsmittel in photographischen Gelatineschichten verwendbar. Diese Verbindungen zeigen maximale Absorption im nahen Ultraviolettbereich und scharfes Cut-off, unmittelbar außerhalb des sichtbaren Bereichs. Die Verbindungen sind im wesentlichen farblos, werden durch Lösungsmitteldispersion oder Tränken leicht dispergiert oder gelöst und sind photographisch inert.
- Die vorliegenden Verbindungen weisen ausgezeichnete Verträglichkeitseigenschaften in Gelatineschichten der photographischen Masse auf, die zu einer im wesentlichen schleierfreien Masse führt, verbunden mit ausgezeichnetem Schutz der Farbbilder gegen schädliche Einflüsse der Ultraviolettlichtstrahlung. Diese Eigenschaftskombination unterscheidet die vorliegenden Verbindungen deutlich von den Verbindungen des nächsten Standes der Technik.
- Synthetische Polymere sind insbesondere jene, die aromatische Reste enthalten, wie Polystyrol, Pfropfcopolymere von Styrol, wie ABS-Harze, Polyphenylenoxide, Polyphenylensulfide, Polyurethane, Polyharnstoffe, Polyimide, Polyamidimide, aromatische Polyester, Polycarbonate, Polysulfone, Polyethersulfone, Polyetherketone, Alkydharze, Aminoplastharze und Epoxidharze.
- Eine andere Klasse von synthetischen Polymeren von besonderer Bedeutung sind die Polyolefine, wie Polypropylen.
- Im allgemeinen schließen Polymere, die stabilisiert werden können, ein
- 1. Polymere von Monoolefinen und Diolefinen, zum Beispiel Polyethylen (das gegebenenfalls vernetzt sein kann) Polypropylen, Polyisobutylen, Polybuten-1, Polymethylpenten- 1, Polyisopren oder Polybutadien, sowie Polymere von Cycloolefinen, zum Beispiel von Cyclopenten oder Norbornen.

- 27. Gemische von Polymeren, die vorstehend genannt wurden, zum Beispiel PP/EPDM, Polyamid 6/EPDM oder ABS, PVC/EVA, PVC/ABS, PVC/MBS, PC/ABS, PBTP/ABS.

Natürlich vorkommende und synthetische organische Materialien, die rein monomere Verbindungen oder Gemische solcher Verbindungen sind, zum Beispiel Mineralöle, tierische und pflanzliche Fette, Öl und Wachse oder Öle, Fette und Wachse, basierend auf synthetischen Estern (zum Beispiel Phthalaten, Adipaten, Phosphaten oder Trimellitaten) und auch Gemische von synthetischen Estern mit Mineralölen in beliebigen Gewichtsverhältnissen, wobei die Stoffe als Plastifizierungsmittel für Polymere verwendet werden können oder als Schmälzöle (textile spinning oils) sowie als wässerige Emulsionen für solche Materialien.
- 29. Wässerige Emulsionen von natürlichem oder synthetischem Kautschuk, zum Beispiel natürlichem Latex oder Latizes von carboxylierten Styrol/Butadiencopolymeren.
- 30. Polysiloxane, wie die weichen hydrophilen Polysiloxane, die zum Beispiel in der US-Patentschrift Nr. 4 259 467 beschrieben wurden, und die harten Polyorganosiloxane, die zum Beispiel in der US-Patentschrift Nr. 4 355 147 beschrieben wurden.
- 31. Polyketimine in Kombination mit ungesättigten acrylischen Polyacetoacetatharzen oder mit ungesättigten Acrylharzen. Die ungesättigten Acrylharze schließen die Urethanacrylate, Polyetheracrylate, Vinyl- oder Acrylcopolymere mit ungesättigten Seitengruppen und die acrylierten Melamine ein. Die Polyketimine werden aus Polyaminen und Ketonen in Gegenwart eines sauren Katalysators hergestellt.
- 32. Strahlungshärtbare Massen, enthaltend ethylenisch ungesättigte Monomere oder Oligomere und ein polyungesättigtes aliphatisches Oligomer.
- 33. Epoxymelaminharze, wie lichtstabile Epoxidharze, vernetzt mit einem epoxyfunktionell coverethertem Melaminharz mit hohem Feststoffanteil, wie LSE 4103 (Monsanto).
- Im allgemeinen werden die Verbindungen der vorliegenden Erfindung in einer Menge von etwa 0,01 bis etwa 5 Gew.-% der stabilisierten Masse angewendet, obwohl dies mit dem besonderen Substrat und der Anwendung schwanken wird. Ein vorteilhafter Bereich beträgt etwa 0,5 bis etwa 2 %, insbesondere 0,1 bis etwa 1 %.
- Die Stabilisatoren der vorliegenden Erfindung können leicht in organische Polymere durch übliche Techniken in jeder geeigneten Stufe vor der Herstellung der Formgegenstände davon eingegeben werden. Zum Beispiel kann der Stabilisator mit dem Polymer in Trockenpulverform vermischt werden oder eine Suspension oder Emulsion des Stabilisators kann mit einer Lösung, Suspension oder Emulsion des Polymers vermischt werden. Die erhaltenen stabilisierten Polymermassen der Erfindung können gegebenenfalls auch etwa 0,01 bis etwa 5 %, vorzugsweise etwa 0,025 bis etwa 2 % und insbesondere etwa 0,1 bis etwa 1 Gew.-%, verschiedene übliche Additive enthalten, wie die Stoffe, die nachstehend aufgeführt sind, oder Gemische davon.

- Eine am meisten gehinderte Aminverbindung ist Bis(2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-4-yl)sebacat, Bis(1,2,2,6,6- pentamethylpiperidin-4-yl) sebacat, Di(1,2,2,6,6-pentamethylpiperidin-4-yl)(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzyl)butylmalonat, das Polykondensationsprodukt von 1-(2-Hydroxyethyl)- 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-hydroxypiperidin und Bernsteinsäure, das Polykondensationsprodukt von 2,4-Dichlor-6-tert-octylamino-s-triazin und 4,4'-Hexamethylenbis(amino-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin), N,N',N",N"'-Tetrakis-[(4,6-bis(butyl(2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-4-yl)amino)-s-triazin-2-yl]- 1,10-diamino-4,7-diazadecan, Di-(t-octyloxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-4-yl)sebacat, Di-(1-cyclohexyloxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-4-yl)succinat, 1-Octyloxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-hydroxypiperidin, Poly-{[6-tert-octylamino-s-triazin-2,4-diyl)[2-(1-cyclohexyloxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-4-yl)imino-hexamethylen-[4-(1-cyclohexyloxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-4-yl)imino] oder 2,4,6-Tris[N-(1-cyclohexyloxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-4-yl)-n-butylamino]-s- triazin.
- Die nachstehenden Beispiele werden nur zum Zweck der Erläuterung angegeben.
- 2-(2-Hydroxy-5-methylphenyl)-2H-benzotriazol (74,3 g, 0,33 Mol), Diethylamin (37,0 g, 0,51 Mol) und Paraformaldehyd (17,1 g) werden in 85 ml n-Butanol gelöst. Das Gemisch wird unter Rühren unter Rückfluß (95 bis 100ºC) für 44 Stunden erhitzt. Das Lösungsmittel wird anschließend durch Vakuumdestillation entfernt und als Produkt wird in hoher Ausbeute (> 99 %) eine gelbe viskose Flüssigkeit erhalten. Diese Mannich-Base wird durch Dünnschichtchromatographie unter Verwendung von Toluol als mobile Phase als die vorstehend ausgewiesene Verbindung identifiziert.
- 2-(2-Hydroxy-5-tert-octylphenyl)-2H-benzotriazol (70,0 g, 0,22 Mol), Diethylamin (24,3 g, 0,33 Mol) und Paraformaldehyd (11,2 g) werden in 55 ml n-Butanol gelöst. Das Gemisch wird unter Rühren und unter Rückfluß (95 bis 100ºC) für 50 Stunden erhitzt. Das Lösungsmittel wird anschließend durch Vakuumdestillation entfernt und als Produkt wird in hoher Ausbeute (> 99 %) ein weißlicher Feststoff erhalten. Diese Mannich-Base wird durch Dünnschichtchromatographie unter Verwendung von Toluol als mobile Phase als die vorstehend ausgewiesene Verbindung identifiziert.
- 2-(2-Hydroxy-3-diethylaminomethyl-5-methylphenyl)-2H- benzotriazol (21,0 g, 0,067 Mol), 2-Hydroxy-4-n-octyloxybenzophenon (22,0 g, 0,067 Mol) und p-Cymen (80 g) werden in einen Reaktionskolben gegeben. Das Gemisch wird zum Auflösen erhitzt und Natriummethoxid (1,0 g, 25 % in Methanol) wird als Katalysator zugegeben. Die Lösung wird unter Rühren unter einem Stickstoffstrom und unter Rückfluß (176 bis 178ºC) für 24 Stunden erhitzt. Nach Abkühlen auf Raumtemperatur wird die Lösung filtriert und der schwarze abfiltrierte Feststoff (rund 1 g) wird verworfen. Das Produkt wird anschließend mit Methanol ausgefällt. Der erhaltene gelbe Feststoff (12,5 g) wird vakuumfiltriert und unter Verwendung von Dünnschichtchromatographie mit Toluol:Aceton (1:1) als mobile Phase identifiziert. Zur Entfernung der gelben Farbe wird das feste Produkt in heißem Toluol gelöst und Kieselgel wird eingeführt. Das Kieselgel wird heiß schwerkraftfiltriert. Das Toluol wird durch Vakuumdestillation entfernt und als weißlicher Feststoff werden 8,2 g der Titelverbindung erhalten.
- H NMR zeigt Protonenresonanzen bei 0,73 ppm, Triplett, 3 Protonen, (endständiges -CH&sub3; in -OC&sub8;H&sub1;&sub7;); 1,06-1,24 ppm, Komplex, 8 Protonen, (inneres 4X-CH&sub2; in -OC&sub8;H&sub1;&sub7;); 1,32 ppm, Quintett, 2 Protonen (-CH&sub2; Beta zu Ar-O); 1,71 ppm, Quintett, 2 Protonen, (-CH&sub2; Gamma zu Ar-O); 2,32 ppm, Singulett, 3 Protonen (-CCH&sub3;); 4,03 ppm, Triplett, 2 Protonen, (-CH&sub2; Alpha zu Ar-O) ; 4,24 ppm, Singulett, 2 Protonen (Ar- CH&sub2;-Ar); 6,48 ppm, Dublett, 1 Proton, (C&sub8;H&sub1;&sub7;OCH-); 6,82 ppm, 1 Proton, (CH&sub3;CCHC-CH&sub2;- Ar); 7,40-7,64 ppm, Komplex, 6 Protonen, (Ar-COCCHCH&sub3;-, C&sub8;H&sub1;&sub7;OCHCH-, -NCCHC&sub2;H&sub2;-); 7,68 ppm, Dublett, 2 Protonen, (AR-COCCHC&sub3;H&sub3;CH), 7,95 ppm, Komplex, 2 Protonen, (-NCCHC&sub2;H&sub2;CH) ; 8,05 ppm, 1 Proton, (CH&sub3;CCHCNCOH); 11,46 und 12,80 ppm, 2 Singuletts, 2 Protonen, (austauschbare -OH Protonen).
- Analyse für C&sub3;&sub5;H&sub3;&sub7;N&sub3;O&sub4;:

- gefunden: C, 74,0; H, 6,6; N, 7,4.
- 2-(2-Hydroxy-3-diethylaminomethyl-5-methylphenyl)-2H- benzotriazol (20,0 g, 0,064 Mol), 2-Hydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenon (14,7 g, 0,064 Mol) und Natriummethoxid (1,0 g, 25 % in Methanol) werden in einen Reaktionskolben gegeben. Das Gemisch wird auf 130ºC erhitzt und bei dieser Temperatur für 20 Stunden unter Rühren unter einem Stickstofffluß gehalten. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt wird das Produkt unter Verwendung von Dünnschichtchromatographie mit Toluol als mobile Phase identifiziert. Zu dem braungelben Feststoff wird heißes Methanol gegeben. Die gelben Feststoffe werden vakuumfiltriert und zweimal mit Methanol verrieben und 20,6 g Produkt werden erhalten. Zur Entfernung der gelben Farbe werden die Feststoffe in heißem Toluol gelöst und Kieselgel wird eingeführt. Das Kieselgel wird heiß schwerkraftfiltriert. Das Toluol wird durch Vakuumdestillation entfernt, unter Erhalt von 12,1 g der Titelverbindung als schwach gelber Feststoff, Fp. 206-209ºC.
- H NMR zeigt Protonenresonanzen bei 2,32 ppm, Singulett, 3 Protonen, (-CCH&sub3;); 3,89 ppm, Singulett, 3 Protonen, (-OCH&sub3;); 4,27 ppm, Singulett, 2 Protonen, (Ar-CH&sub2;-Ar); 6,54 ppm, Dublett, 1 Proton, (CH&sub3;OCCH-); 6,76 ppm, Singulett, 1 Proton (CH&sub3;CCH-CH&sub2;-Ar); 7,48-7,60 ppm, Komplex, 6 Protonen (Ar-COCCHCHCHCH-); 7,69 ppm, Dublett, 2 Protonen, (Ar- COCCHC&sub3;H&sub3;CH) ; 7,95 ppm, Komplex; 2 Protonen, (-NCCHC&sub2;H&sub2;CH); 8,06 ppm, Singulett, 1 Proton, (CH&sub3;CHCNCOH); 11,34 und 12,68 ppm, 2 Singuletts, 2 Protonen, (austauschbare -OH Protonen).

- Methanol (50 ml) wird in einen 300 ml-Dreihalskolben, ausgerüstet mit einem Rührer, Thermometer, Kühler, Dean- Stark-Falle und Stickstoffeinlaß, gegeben. Natrium (0,3 g, 0,013 Mol) wird zu dem Methanol gegeben und das Gemisch wird bei Raumtemperatur gerührt bis das gesamte Natrium aufgelöst ist. Anschließend werden 2-(2-Hydroxy-3-diethylaminomethyl-5- tert-octylphenyl)-2H-benzotriazol (10,2 g, 0,025 Mol), 2-Hydroxy-4-n-octyloxybenzophenon (8,2 g, 0,025 Mol) und weitere 50 ml Methanol zu der Natriummethoxidlösung gegeben. Die Reaktanten werden unter Rückfluß erhitzt, bis die Hälfte des Methanols sich in der Dean-Stark-Falle sammelt. o-xylol (50 ml) wird zugegeben und die Temperatur steigt auf die Rückflußtemperatur von o-Xylol (143-145ºC) und Erhitzen wird für 24 Stunden fortgesetzt. Anschließend wird das Gemisch abgekühlt und Essigsäure wird zur Neutralisation des Natriummethoxidkatalysators zugegeben. Das o-Xylol-Lösungsmittel wird anschließend durch Vakuumdestillation entfernt. Das erhaltene Rohprodukt wird aus Heptan umkristallisiert zur Gewinnung der Titelverbindung in einer Ausbeute von 10 g (62 % Ausbeute) als weißer kristalliner Feststoff, der bei 96-100ºC schmilzt.

- Gemäß dem allgemeinen Verfahren von Beispiel 5 unter Verwendung des Mannich-Zwischenprodukts von Beispiel 2 und 2- Hydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenon wird die Titelverbindung als gelber kristalliner Feststoff, der bei 137-139ºC schmilzt, erhalten.

- Gemäß dem allgemeinen Verfahren von Beispiel 5 unter Verwendung des Mannich-Zwischenprodukts von Beispiel 2 und 2- Hydroxy-4-dodecyloxybenzophenon wird die Titelverbindung als gelber kristalliner Feststoff, der bei 78-82ºC schmilzt, erhalten.

- Gemäß dem allgemeinen Verfahren von Beispiel 5 unter Verwendung des Mannich-Zwischenprodukts von Beispiel 1 und 2- Hydroxy-4-dodecyloxybenzophenon wird die Titelverbindung als gelber kristalliner Feststoff, der bei 100-105ºC schmilzt, erhalten.

- Gemäß dem allgemeinen Verfahren von Beispiel 5 unter Verwendung des Mannich-Zwischenprodukts von Beispiel 1 oder 2 und verschieden substituierten Benzophenonen werden die nachstehenden Verbindungen der Formel I wie in der nachstehenden Tabelle gezeigt hergestellt. Die Verbindungen der Beispiele 3 bis 9 wurden zur Vervollstandigung der Tabelle ebenfalls aufgenommen.
- Unter Verwendung eines üblichen thermogravimetrischen Geräts (TA Instruments Model 2950, Thermogravimetric Analyzer) werden die nachstehenden isothermen und unter Temperaturänderung aufgezeichneten thermogravimetrischen Daten der erfindungsgemäßen Hybridverbindungen bestimmt. Diese Daten werden in der nachstehenden Tabelle angegeben.
- * nach 30 Minuten wurde ein Gewichtsverlust von weniger als 1 % bestimmt.

- Die vorliegenden Verbindungen zeigen gute Beständigkeit gegenüber Verflüchtigung und Verlust unter hohen Temperaturbedingungen.
- Die nachstehende Tabelle zeigt die Absorptionsmaxima und molaren Extinktionskoeffizienten einer Anzahl von vorliegenden Verbindungen. Die Konzentrationen von jeder der Proben sind 20 mg/l. Die hohen molaren Extinktionskoeffizienten für die vorliegenden Verbindungen gestatten, daß die Verbindungen bei geringen Konzentrationen vorliegen, während noch ausgezeichneter UV-Licht-Stabilisierungsschutz geleistet wird. - Die Absorptionseigenschaften der vorliegenden Verbindungen zeigen, daß die Verbindungen für Substrate sehr wirksamen Lichtstabilisierungsschutz gegenüber den schädlichen Wirkungen aktinischen Lichts bereitstellen.

oder Chlor darstellt.

4. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, worin T&sub2; Alkyl mit 1
bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt.
5. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, worin T&sub2; Alkyl mit 1
bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt.
6. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, worin E&sub1; -OE&sub2;
darstellt, wobei E&sub2; Wasserstoff oder Alkyl mit 1 bis 12
Kohlenstoffatomen bedeutet.
7. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, worin E&sub1; -OE&sub2;
darstellt, wobei E&sub2; Wasserstoff oder Alkyl mit 1 bis 8
Kohlenstoffatomen bedeutet.
8. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, worin E&sub3; Wasserstoff
darstellt.
9. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, worin E&sub4; Wasserstoff
oder -OE&sub5; darstellt, wobei E&sub5; Wasserstoff oder Alkyl mit 1
bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen bedeutet.
10. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, worin E&sub4; -OE&sub5;
darstellt, wobei E&sub5; Wasserstoff oder Alkyl mit 1 bis 4
Kohlenstoffatomen bedeutet.
11. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, worin E&sub6; Wasserstoff
oder Hydroxyl darstellt.
12. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, worin T&sub1; Wasserstoff
oder Chlor darstellt, T&sub2; Alkyl mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen
darstellt, E&sub1; -OE&sub2; darstellt, wobei E&sub2; Wasserstoff oder Alkyl
mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt, E&sub3; Wasserstoff
darstellt, E&sub4; Wasserstoff oder -OE&sub5; darstellt, wobei E&sub5;
Wasserstoff oder Alkyl mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen bedeutet und
E&sub6; Wasserstoff oder Hydroxyl darstellt.
13. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, worin T&sub1; Wasserstoff
darstellt, T&sub2; Alkyl mit 1 bis 8 Kohlenstoffatomen darstellt,
E&sub1; -OE&sub2; darstellt, wobei E&sub2; Alkyl mit 1 bis 12
Kohlenstoffatomen bedeutet und jeder der Reste E&sub3;, E&sub4; und E&sub6; Wasserstoff
darstellt.
14. Verbindung nach Anspruch 1, nämlich
(a) 2-(Benzotriazol-2-yl)-4-methyl-6-(2-hydroxy-3-
benzoyl-6-n-octyloxybenzyl)phenol;
(b) 2-(Benzotriazol-2-yl)-4-methyl-6-(2-hydroxy-3-
benzoyl-6-methoxybenzyl)phenol;
(c) 2-(Benzotriazol-2-yl)-4-tert-octyl-6-(2-hydroxy-
3-benzoyl-6-n-octyloxybenzyl)phenol;
(d) 2-(Benzotriazol-2-yl)-4-tert-octyl-6-(2-hydroxy-
3-benzoyl-6-methoxybenzyl)phenol;
(e) 2-(Benzotriazol-2-yl)-4-tert-octyl-6-(2-hydroxy-
3-benzoyl-6-dodecyloxybenzyl)phenol;
oder
(f) 2-(Benzotriazol-2-yl)-4-methyl-6-(2-hydroxy-3-
benzoyl-6-dodecyloxybenzyl)phenol.
15. Stabilisierte Masse, umfassend
(a) ein synthetisches Polymer, das bei Aussetzen
aktinischen Lichts Abbau unterliegt und
(b) eine wirksam stabilisierende Menge einer
Verbindung nach Anspruch 1.
16. Masse nach Anspruch 15, wobei Komponente (a) ein
synthetisches Polymer darstellt, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe,
bestehend aus Polyolefinen, Polystyrol, Pfropfcopolymeren von
Styrol, Polyphenylenoxiden, Polyphenylensulfiden,
Polyurethanen, Polyharnstoffen, Polyimiden, Polyamidimiden,
aromatischen Polyestern, Polycarbonaten, Polysulfonen,
Polyethersulfonen, Polyetherketonen, Alkydharzen, Aminoplastharzen und
Epoxidharzen.
17. Masse nach Anspruch 15, worin die Verbindung von
Komponente (b) eine Verbindung nach Anspruch 12 darstellt.
18. Masse nach Anspruch 15, worin die Verbindung von
Komponente (b) eine Verbindung nach Anspruch 13 darstellt.
