Description
- Die Erfindung betrifft ein kosmetisches Mittel vom Öl- und Wasser-Emulsionstyp zum Auftragen auf die menschliche Haut.
- Haut erfordert ein bestimmtes Ausmaß an Feuchte, um ein gutes Gefühl und ein ästhetisch annehmbares Aussehen beizubehalten. Wasser geht durch Verdampfung und durch Kontakt mit aufrauhenden Chemikalien, wie Seifen und Waschmittel, verloren. Trockenheit der Haut kann durch Auftragen von Feuchthaltemitteln über das Vehiculum einer kosmetischen Zusammensetzung überwunden werden.
- Einige Arten kosmetischer Mittel werden mit Reinigungsmitteln formuliert, die die Aufgabe haben, Make-up, Talg, Schmutz und Öl von Haut und Hals zu entfernen. Geeignet formulierte Reinigungsmittel entfernen rasch und effizient vorher aufgetragene Gesichtspuder, Rouge, Grundierungen, Gesichtsmaske und Lippenstift.
- Derzeit sind zahlreiche Reinigungsprodukte, insbesondere der mit Wasser abspülbaren Variante, auf dem Markt. Beispielsweise ist Pond's (von Chesebrough-Pond's USA) ein Kaltcreme-Markenartikel, der Wasser, Mineralöl, PEG-16-Sojasterol, Bienenwachs, PEG-8-Dilaurat, Behensäure, Cetearylalkohol, Ceteareth 20, Ceresin, Natriumborat und geringere Additive enthält. Ein weiteres Produkt, Oil of Ulay (von Procter & Gamble) ist eine Kaltcreme, deren Ingredienzen Wasser, Mineralöl, Poly-α-olefin, Glycerin, Isododecan, Sorbitanstearat, Cyclomethicon, Capryl/Caprintriglycerid, Hexylenglycol, PEG-8-Laurat, Cetearylalkohol, Ceteareth 20, Laurylglycosid und verschiedene andere, geringere Komponenten einschließen.
- Die zum Erreichen einer Feuchtwirkung erforderlichen Komponenten weisen Unverträglichkeit mit Komponenten auf, die zur Reinigung erforderlich sind. Diese Unverträglichkeiten zeigen sich in solchen Nachteilen, wie Produktfettigkeit und Hautreizung. Übliche Kaltcreme ist beispielsweise im Anfühlen äußerst fettig. Mit Wasser abspülbare Versionen von Kaltcremes, wie jene, die vorstehend erwähnt wurden, sind von beträchtlich geringerer Fettigkeit, könnten jedoch noch verbessert werden. Zusätzlich trifft man auf Probleme einer physikalischen Ästhetik, wenn die Formulierungen unzureichend viskos werden oder Phasentrennung zwischen Wasser und Öl auftritt.
- Folglich ist es eine Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung, ein kosmetisches Mittel bereitzustellen, das beide Vorteile, den eines Reinigungsmittels und den eines Feuchthaltemittels, verleiht.
- Eine weitere Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist die Bereitstellung eines kosmetischen Mittels, das relativ gesehen nicht fettig und frei von Mineral- oder Pflanzenöl ist.
- Eine weitere Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung ist die Bereitstellung eines kosmetischen Mittels mit hinreichender Viskosität und Phasenstabilität zwischen Wasser- und Ölkomponenten.
- Es ist eine weitere Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung, ein kosmetisches Mittel bereitzustellen, das als Reinigungsmittel und Feuchthaltemittel dient, während es die Haut relativ wenig reizt.
- Diese und weitere Aufgaben der vorliegenden Erfindung werden mit Hinweis auf die nachstehende Zusammenfassung und die nähere Beschreibung ersichtlich.
- Eine kosmetische Öl- und Wasseremulsion wird bereitgestellt, umfassend:
- (i) 20 bis 80 Gew.-% Wasser;
- (ii) 1 bis 50 Gew.-% eines Poly-α-olefins mit einer Viskosität von 0,1 bis 10 cSt bei 100ºC;
- (iii) 0,1 bis 10 Gew.-% eines oder mehrerer kuppelnder-solubilisierender Mittel der Formel: HO-(CH&sub2;CHRO)m(CH&sub2;)n(OCHRCH&sub2;)m'-OH,
- worin m und m' ganze Zahlen größer 1 sind und n eine ganze Zahl größer 3 ist und R ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus Wasserstoff und C&sub1;-C&sub1;&sub2;-Alkyl.
- Es wurde gefunden, daß eine kombinierte Reinigungsund Feuchthalteformulierung in Abwesenheit von Mineralöl oder Pflanzenöl erreicht werden kann durch Kombination einer wässerigen Emulsion von Poly-α-olefin, kombiniert mit einem oder mehreren kuppelnden-solubilisierenden Mitteln. Das kuppelndesolubilisierende Mittel weist die Formel auf:
- HO-(CH&sub2;CHRO)m(CH&sub2;)n(OCHRCH&sub2;)m'-OH
- worin m und m' ganze Zahlen im Bereich von 2 bis 100, vorzugsweise 3 bis 20 und bevorzugter zwischen 4 und 8 sind, n eine ganze Zahl im Bereich von 4 bis 20, vorzugsweise zwischen 4 und 10, bevorzugter 4 bis 6 ist und R ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus Wasserstoff und C&sub1;-C&sub1;&sub2;-Alkyl, vorzugsweise ist R ausgewählt aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus Methyl und Wasserstoff.
- Das kuppelnde-solubilisierende Mittel kann als durch Alkoxylierung eines C&sub4;-C&sub2;&sub0;-Alkylendiols gebildet angesehen werden. Ethylenoxid und Propylenoxid sind bevorzugte alkoxylierende Einheiten. Bevorzugte Diole sind 1,4-Butandiol, 1,5- Pentandiol, 1,6-Hexandiol und 1,12-Dodecandiol. Ein besonders bevorzugtes, kuppelndes-solubilisierendes Mittel ist PPG-10- Butandiol (CTFA-Nomenklatur), erhältlich von PPG-Mazer Chemicals Inc. unter der Marke Macol 57.
- Das kuppelnde-solubilisierende Mittel der Erfindung liegt in Mengen von 0,1 bis 10 %, vorzugsweise 0,5 bis 5 %, bevorzugter 1 bis 3 Gew.-%, vor.
- Die erfindungsgemäßen Mittel umfassen auch ein oder mehrere Poly-α-olefine der Formel:
- R&sub1;-C=C-R&sub2;,
- worin R&sub1; und R&sub2; unabhängig voneinander ausgewählt sind aus etwa C&sub2;&sub0; bis C&sub7;&sub0;-Alkyl, vorzugsweise C&sub2;&sub0; bis C&sub5;&sub0;, bevorzugter C&sub3;&sub0; bis C&sub5;&sub0;, und am meisten bevorzugt von C&sub3;&sub0; bis C&sub4;&sub0;.
- Geeignete Poly-α-olefine haben ein mittleres Molekulargewicht von etwa 300 bis etwa 800 Da und eine Viskosität von 0,001 bis 0,1 cm²/s (0,1 bis 10 cSt) bei 100ºC. Die Viskosität kann mit Hilfe eines Glaskapillarviskosimeters, wie im ASTM-Verfahren D-88 angeführt, gemessen werden.
- Vorzugsweise weisen die Poly-α-olefine ein Molekulargewicht im Bereich von etwa 445 bis etwa 645 Da auf und eine Viskosität im Bereich von 0,02 bis 0,08 cm²/s (2 bis 8 cSt) bei 100ºC und bevorzugter ein Molekulargewicht von etwa 445 bis etwa 555 Da und eine Viskosität von 0,02 bis 0,04 cm²/s (2 bis 4 cSt) bei 100ºC. Geeignete Poly-α-olefine sind beispielsweise von Ethyl Corporation als Ethylflo 162, Ethylflo 164 und Ethylflo 180 in Form von Polydecenen erhältlich.
- Die Poly-α-olefine liegen in einer Menge von 1 bis 50 %, vorzugsweise 2 bis 25 %, bevorzugter 5 bis 15 Gew.-%, vor.
- Das relative Verhältnis von Poly-α-olefin zu kuppelnden-solubilisierenden Mittel liegt im Bereich von etwa 100:1 bis etwa 1:20, vorzugsweise etwa 20:1 bis etwa 1:10 und bevorzugter etwa 8:1 bis etwa 1:2.
- Die erfindungsgemäßen Mittel erfordern auch die Anwesenheit von Wasser in einer Menge von 20 % bis 80 %, vorzugsweise 25 bis 50 % und bevorzugter 30 bis 40 Gew.-%.
- Erweichende Materialien in Form von flüchtigen und nicht flüchtigen Siliconölen und synthetischen Estern können in die erfindungsgemäßen Mittel eingeschlossen sein. Die Menge an Erweichungsmittel kann im Bereich von etwa 0,1 bis etwa 75 % liegen, vorzugsweise etwa 1 bis etwa 50 %, bevorzugter etwa 5 bis etwa 20 Gew.-%.
- Flüchtige Siliconöle werden vorzugsweise ausgewählt aus cyclischen oder linearen Polydimethylsiloxanen, die etwa 3 bis etwa 9 Siliciumatome enthalten und vorzugsweise jenen, die etwa 4 bis etwa 5 Siliciumatome enthalten.
- Lineare flüchtige Siliconmaterialien weisen im allgemeinen Viskositäten von weniger als etwa 5 cSt bei 25ºC auf, während cyclische Materialien typischerweise Viskositäten von weniger als etwa 0,1 cm²/s (10 cSt) aufweisen.
- Beispiele bevorzugter flüchtiger Siliconöle, die in der vorliegenden Erfindung geeignet sind, schließen ein: Dow Corning 344, Dow Corning 345 und Dow Corning 200 (hergestellt von Dow Corning Corp.), Silicone 7207 und Silicone 7158 (hergestellt von Union Carbide Corp.), SF 1202 (hergestellt von General Electric) und SWS-03314 (hergestellt von SWS Silicones, Inc.).
- Nichtflüchtige Siliconöle, geeignet als Erweichungsmaterial, schließen Polyalkylsiloxane, Polyalkylarylsiloxane und Polyethersiloxancopolymere ein.
- Die nichtflüchtigen Polyalkylsiloxane, die hier geeignet sind, schließen beispielsweise Polydimethylsiloxane mit Viskositäten von 0,05 bis 1000 cm²/s (5 bis 100 000 cSt) bei 25ºC ein. Unter den bevorzugten, nichtflüchtigen Erweichungsmitteln, die in den vorliegenden Zusammensetzungen geeignet sind, sind Polydimethylsiloxane mit Viskositäten von 0,1 bis 4 cm²/s (10 bis 400 cSt) bei 25ºC geeignet. Derartige Polyalkylsiloxane schließen die Vicasil-Serien (von General Electric Company) und die Dow Corning 200 Serie (von Dow Corning Corporation) ein. Polyalkylarylsiloxane schließen Poly(methylphenyl)siloxane mit Viskositäten von 0,15 bis 0,65 cm²/s (15 bis 65 cSt) bei 25ºC ein. Diese sind beispielsweise als SF 1075 Methylphenylfluid (von General Electric Company) und 556 Cosmetic Grade Fluid (von Dow Corning Corporation) verfügbar. Geeignete Polyethersiloxancopolymere schließen beispielsweise Polyoxyalkylenethercopolymer mit einer Viskosität von 12 bis 15 cm²/s (1200 bis 1500 cSt) bei 25ºC ein. Ein solches Fluid ist als SF-1066 Organosilicontensid (von General Electric Company) verfügbar.
- Die erfindungsgemäßen Mittel können auch quaternäre Ammonium funktionalisierte Phosphatester als Gemische von verschiedenen Estern, die zu dieser Gruppe gehören, einschließen. Die Phosphatester weisen vorzugsweise nachstehende allgemeine Formel auf:
- worin R ein quaternärer Ammoniumrest mit 6 bis 40 Kohlenstoffatomen ist. Diese Einschränkung hinsichtlich der Anzahl an Kohlenstoffatomen dient dazu, nur Materialien mit deutlich hydrophoben Eigenschaften einzuschließen. Der Rest R kann cyclisch oder nichtcyclisch, aliphatisch, aromatisch oder heterocyclisch sein. X ist ein Anion, wie ein Halogenid, beispielsweise Chlorid. Diese Phosphatester sind von Mona Industries unter der Bezeichnung Phospholipid PTC, PTD, PTS und EFA verfügbar. Die Mengen an quaternären Phosphatestern können im Bereich von 0,1 bis 30 %, vorzugsweise von 2 bis 10 Gew.-% des Mittels, liegen. Die erfindungsgemäßen Mittel können auch kationische Polysaccharide einschließen. Diese Stoffe sind von natürlich vorkommenden Polysacchariden oder jenen abgeleitet, die durch Veretherung modifiziert wurden, welche mit einer stickstoffenthaltenden Verbindung quaternisiert und mit einer Verbindung, einschließlich einer stickstoffenthaltenden Verbindüng, die einen hydrophoben Rest enthält, alkyliert sind. Besonders bevorzugt sind polymere quaternäre Ammoniumsalze von Hydroxyethylcellulose, umgesetzt mit einem Fettalkyldimethyl-ammoniumsubstituiertem Epoxid. Ein Beispiel für ein derartiges Material ist Quatrisoft LK-200, ein Produkt von Union Carbide Corporation. Die Menge an kationischem Polysaccharid, falls vorliegend im Mittel, bewegt sich im Bereich von 0,1 bis 10 %, vorzugsweise 0,2 bis 1 Gew.-% des Mittels.
- Synthetische Ester sind eine weitere Kategorie von Erweichungsmitteln, die in den erfindungsgemäßen Mitteln eingeschlossen sein können. Diese Ester können ausgewählt sein aus Alkylestern von Fettsäuren mit 10 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen. Methyl-, Isopropyl- und Butylester von Fettsäuren sind hierin geeignet. Beispiele schließen Hexyllaurat, Isohexyllaurat, Isohexylpalmitat, Isopropylpalmitat, Decyloleat, Isodecyloleat, Hexyldecylstearat, Decylstearat, Isopropylisostearat, Diisopropyladipat, Diisohexyladipat, Dihexyldecyladipat, Diisopropylsebacat, Lauryllactat, Myristyllactat und Cetyllactat ein.
- Unter den Estererweichungsmitteln sind:
- (1) Alkenylester von Fettsäuren mit 10 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen. Beispiele davon schließen Oleylmyristat, Oleylstearat und Oleyloleat ein.
- (2) Etherester, wie Fettsäureester von ethoxylierten Fettalkoholen.
- (3) Mehrwertige Alkoholester. Ethylenglycolmono- und -difettsäureester, Diethylenglycolmono-und-difettsäureester, Polyethylenglycol (200 bis 6000), Mono-und Difettsäureester, Propylenglycolmono-und-difettsäureester, Polypropylenglycol-2000-monooleat, Polypropylenglycol-2000-monostearat, ethoxyliertes Propylenglycolmonostearat, Glycerinmonound-difettsäureester, Polyglycerinpolyfettsäureester, ethoxylierte Glycerylmonostearat, 1,3-Butylenglycolmonostearat, 1,3-Butylenglycoldistearat, Polyoxyethylenpolyolfettsäureester, Sorbitanfettsäureester, sind zufriedenstellende mehrwertige Alkoholester.
- (4) Wachsester, wie Bienenwachs, Walrat, Myristylmyristat, Stearylstearat.
- (5) Sterolester, von denen Cholesterinfettsäureester Beispiele sind.
- Am meisten bevorzugt aus der vorstehenden Aufzählung von Estern sind Propylenglycoldipelargonat und Cetyloctanoat.
- Feuchthaltemittel vom mehrwertigen Alkoholtyp können ebenfalls in den erfindungsgemäßen Mitteln eingeschlossen sein. Die Feuchthaltemittel helfen bei der Steigerung der Wirksamkeit des Erweichungsmittels, der Verminderung von Schuppenbildung, stimulieren die Entfernung von Schuppenaufbau und verbessern das Hautgefühl. Typische mehrwertige Alkohole schließen Polyalkylenglycole und bevorzugter Alkylenpolyole und deren Derivate ein, einschließlich Propylenglycol, Dipropylenglycol, Polypropylenglycol, Polyethylenglycol und Derivate davon, Sorbit, Hydroxypropylsorbit, Hexylenglycol, 1,3-Butylenglycol, 1,2,6-Hexantriol, ethoxyliertes Glycerin, propoxyliertes Glycerin und Gemische davon.
- Für beste Ergebnisse ist das Feuchthaltemittel vorzugsweise Glycerin. Die Menge an Feuchthaltemittel kann im Bereich von 0,5 bis 20 % und vorzugsweise zwischen 1 und 15 Gew.-% des Mittels, falls vorliegend in dem Mittel, betragen.
- Die erfindungsgemäßen Emulsionen können auch Verdikkungsmittel/viskositätseinstellende Mittel in Mengen bis zu etwa 5 Gew.-% des Mittels einschließen. Dem Fachmann wird bekannt sein, daß die genaue Menge an Verdickungsmittel in Abhängigkeit von der Konsistenz und der Dicke, die für das Mittel gewünscht sind, variieren kann. Beispielhafte Verdikkungsmittel sind Xanthangummi, Natriumcarboxymethylcellulose, Hydroxyalkyl- und Alkylcellulosen und vernetzte Acrylsäurepolymere, wie jene, die von B.F. Goodrich unter der Marke Carbopol erhältlich sind.
- Erfindungsgemäße Mittel können auch Emulgatoren oder Tenside einschließen, die vom nichtionischen, anionischen, kationischen oder amphoteren Typ sind. Obwohl die quaternären ammoniumfunktionalisierten Phosphatester primär als Emulgator und Tensid für erfindungsgemäße Systeme vorgesehen sind, können auch nichtionische Emulgatoren vorliegen. Beispiele zufriedenstellender nichtionischer Emulgatoren schließen Fettalkohole mit 10 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen, kondensiert mit 2 bis 20 Mol Ethylenoxid oder Propylenoxid, Alkylphenole mit 6 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen in der Alkylkette, kondensiert mit 2 bis 20 Mol Ethylenoxid, Mono- und Difettsäureester von Ethylenglycol, wobei der Fettsäurerest 10 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatome enthält, Fettsäuremonoglycerid, wobei der Fettsäurerest 10 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatome enthält, Diethylenglycol, Polyethylenglycole mit einem Molekulargewicht von 200 bis 6000, Propylenglycol mit einem Molekulargewicht von 200 bis 3000, Polyoxyethylensorbit, Polyoxypropylensorbitan und hydrophile Wachsester ein.
- Die Mengen an Emulgator, falls vorliegend in dem Mittel, können im Bereich von etwa 0,1 bis etwa 20 Gew.-% der Emulsion, vorzugsweise von etwa 2 bis etwa 10 Gew.-%, liegen.
- Innerhalb des Schutzbereichs der Erfindung sind Emulsionen in Form von Lotionen und Cremes denkbar, worin die Wasserphase entweder kontinuierlich oder diskontinuierlich ist. Die Menge dieser Phasen kann im Bereich von etwa 99:1 bis 1:99, auf das Gewicht bezogen, liegen.
- Unter anderen hautpflegenden Mitteln, die in den erfindungsgemäßen Mitteln vorliegen können, sind Fettsäuren und Alkohole mit 10 bis 20 Kohlenstoffatomen. Geeignete Beispiele von Fettsäuren schließen Pelargon-, Laurin-, Myristin-, Palmitin-, Stearin-, Isostearin-, Hydroxystearin-, Öl-, Linolen-, Ricinol-, Arachidin-, Behen- und Erucasäuren ein. Beispiele zufriedenstellender Fettalkohole schließen Lauryl-, Myristyl-, Cetyl-, Hexadecyl-, Stearyl-, Isostearyl-, Hydroxystearyl-, Oleyl-, Ricinoleyl-, Behenyl-, Erucyl- und 2-Octyldodecanylalkohole ein. Diese Materialien können etwa 0,1 bis etwa 20 Gew.-% des Mittels ausmachen.
- Konservierungsmittel können wunschenswerterweise in den erfindungsgemäßen kosmetischen Mitteln eingesetzt werden, um sie gegen das Wachstum von potentiell gefährlichen Mikroorganismen zu schützen. Obwohl es die wässerige Phase ist, in der sich Mikroorganismen vermehren können, können sich Mikroorganismen auch in der Ölphase aufhalten. Konservierungsstoffe, die Löslichkeit in beiden Phasen, Wasser und Öl, aufweisen, werden daher vorzugsweise in dem erfindungsgemäßen Mittel verwendet Geeignete traditionelle Konservierungsmittel für erfindungsgemäße Mittel sind Alkylester von p-Hydroxybenzoesäure. Weitere Konservierungsmittel, die kürzlicher in Gebrauch kamen, sind Hydantoinderivate, Propionatsalze und Varianten von quaternären Ammoniumverbindungen. Chemiker auf dem kosmetischen Gebiet sind mit geeigneten Konservierungsmitteln vertraut und wählen routinemäßig jene aus, die dem Konservierungsexpositionstest genügen und Produktstabilität bereitstellen. Geeignete, bevorzugte Konservierungsstoffe sind Methylparaben, Imidazolidinylharnstoff, Natriumdehydrooxyacetat, Propylparaben und Benzylalkohol. Die Konservierungsstoffe sollten hinsichtlich der Verwendung des Mittels und hinsichtlich der möglichen Unverträglichkeiten zwischen dem Konservierungsstoff und anderen Bestandteilen in der Emulsion ausgewählt werden. Konservierungsstoffe werden vorzugsweise in Mengen im Bereich von etwa 0,01 bis etwa 2 Gew.-% des Mittels angewendet.
- Geringere Mengen an Hilfsstoffen können ebenfalls als Duftmittel, Antischaummittel, Trübungsmittel und Färbemittel, jeweils in ihren zur Entfaltung ihrer betreffenden Funktionen wirksamen Mengen eingeschlossen sein.
- Ungeachtet der bereits beschriebenen Möglichkeit, das kombinierte Reinigungs- und Feuchthaltemittel der Erfindung in Abwesenheit von Mineralöl oder Pflanzenöl zu erlangen, ist es trotzdem nicht ausgeschlossen, in die Formulierung bis zu 5 Gew.-% Mineralöl oder Pflanzenöl oder ein Gemisch davon einzuschließen.
- Die nachstehenden Beispiele erläutern deutlicher die Austührungsformen der Erfindung. Alle Teil-, Prozent- und Verhältnisangaben, auf die in den beigefügten Ansprüchen Bezug genommen wird, sind auf das Gewicht bezogen, sofern nicht anders ausgewiesen.
- Ein kosmetisches Mittel, das die vorliegende Erfindung veranschaulicht, ist in Tabelle I angeführt. - Die Formulierung von Tabelle I wurde zuerst durch Erwärmen von Phase A auf 81ºC (180ºF) hergestellt. In einem getrennten Gefäß wurde Phase B auf 71 bis 74ºC (160º bis 165ºF) erwärmt. Phasen B und C wurden dann zu Phase A unter Herstellung eines Gemisches gegeben, das für etwa 5 Minuten gerührt wurde. Anschließend wurde Phase D zugegeben und die erhaltene Charge wurde bis zur gleichförmigen Konsistenz bewegt (etwa 30 Minuten). Die Charge wurde langsam abgekühlt und anschließend Phasen E und F darin vereinigt. Das Abkühlen wurde beendet, wenn die Charge 32ºC (90ºF) erreichte, woraufhin das Produkt aus dem Mischgefäß abgezogen wurde.
- Ein weiteres, für die vorliegende Erfindung veranschaulichendes kosmetisches Mittel ist in Tabelle II angeführt. Die Herstellung dieses Mittels ist ähnlich zu jenem, das unter Beispiel 1 angeführt wurde. - Die Wirkung des kuppelnden-solubilisierenden Mittels wurde in einer Grundformulierung bewertet, die in Tabelle IIIA ausgewiesen ist. - Ein Paar dieser Mittel wurde unter Verwendung der Grundformulierung hergestellt. Eines der Mittel enthielt Hexylenglycol und das andere PPG-10-Butandiol als kuppelndessolubilisierendes Mittel. Diese Mittel wurden einer Reihe von Gefrier/Auftauzyklen zur Bewertung ihrer Phasenstabilität unterzogen. Bei diesem Test wurden die Mittel einem Intervall zwischen -18ºC und 22ºC für jeden Zyklus unterzogen. Die Ergebnisse sind in nachstehender Tabelle IIIb ausgewiesen. - Aufgrund dieser Ergebnisse wird geschlußfolgert, daß Hexylenglycol nicht als kuppelndes-solubilisierendes Mittel für Systeme dient, deren hauptsächliche Komponenten Wasser und Poly-α-olefin sind. Andererseits war PPG-10-Butandiol als kuppelndes-solubilisierendes Mittel wirksam.
- Eine Reihe weiterer Untersuchungen wurde ausgeführt, um Gefrier-/Auftaustabilität in Systemen mit oder ohne PPG- 10-Butandiol zu untersuchen. Diese Versuche sind unter Tabelle V ausgewiesen. - Aus den in Tabelle IV angeführten Ergebnissen ist ersichtlich, daß ein kuppelndes Mittel, wie PPG-10-Butandiol, für die Phasenstabilität erforderlich ist. Es ist auch ersichtlich, daß Poly-α-olefin höherer Viskosität ein unerwünschtes, relativ fettigeres Nachgefühl verleiht, gegenüber dem vorteilhaften Nachgefühl, das man mit Poly-α-olefin niederer Viskosität verspürt.
- Dieses Beispiel erläutert die Wirkungen von verschiedenen alkoxylierten und nicht alkoxylierten Glycolen. - Aus den Ergebnissen von Tabelle VI ist ersichtlich, daß Hexylenglycol und 1,3-Butylenglycol als kuppelnde-solubilisierende Mittel ungeeignet sind.
Claims (8)
1. Kosmetische Öl- und Wasseremulsion, umfassend:
(i) 20 bis 80 Gew.-% Wasser;
(ii) 1 bis 50 Gew.-% eines Poly-α-olefins
mit einer Viskosität von 0,001 bis 0,1 cm²/s
(0,1 bis 10 cSt) bei 100ºC;
(iii) 0,1 bis 10 Gew.-% eines oder mehrerer
kuppelnder-solubilisierender Mittel der
Formel:
HO-(CH&sub2;CHRO)m(CH&sub2;)n(OCHRCH&sub2;)m'-OH,
worin m und m' ganze Zahlen größer 1 sind und n eine
ganze Zahl größer 3 ist und R ausgewählt ist aus
der Gruppe, bestehend aus Wasserstoff und C&sub1;-C&sub1;&sub2;-Alkyl.
2. Emulsion nach Anspruch 1, wobei Mineralöl,
Pflanzenöl oder ein Gemisch davon in einer Menge von nicht mehr
als 5 Gew.-% des Mittels vorliegt.
3. Emulsion nach Anspruch 1 oder Anspruch 2, wobei n
eine ganze Zahl im Bereich von 4 bis 20 ist.
4. Emulsion nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, wobei n
eine ganze Zahl im Bereich von 4 bis 10 ist.
5. Emulsion nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, wobei R
ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus Methyl und
Wasserstoff.
6. Emulsion nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5, wobei

außerdem 0,1 bis 10 Gew.-% eines kationischen Polysaccharids
umfassend.
