Description
Device for bronzing or powdering It is known that bronzing machines the bronze or the metal in powder form, so-called bronze colors, on the one with fresh Continuous print sheet provided with pre-printed form is applied.
As a rule, an adhesive-containing underprinting ink is used for the preprint used, which holds the bronze dust firmly and inextricably. For applying the bronze powder Rollers, which are mostly covered with cloth, are used on the printed sheet. These Rollers carry that from a bronze container in terms of their size. obtained bronze powder onto the print sheet. Because the rolls covered with cloth are not in are able to hold on to the bronze dust, it cannot be avoided that too Bronze is given where none is needed. The now too much applied bronze must through certain construction parts, such as dust belts or dust rollers, again removed. However, different papers present very special difficulties the complete removal of the too much applied bronze dust, as it is for dusting used, init plush or fur-covered belt rollers are often not able to are to remove the fine bronze particles stuck in the pores. But right now The complete dusting of the bronze is of the utmost importance, as it is mainly Food and vegetable packs are bronzed. The excess bronze powder, which does not stick to your bow will be moved by the ones in the machine Parts whirled up. The unavoidable dust development is countered by that these parts of the machine are encased in a dust-tight manner and with an extra exhaust system be provided. Nevertheless, it is often unavoidable to work for longer periods of time Bronze dust enters the work room. In order to avoid this deficiency and in order to Saving bronze powder is also already the loose bronze powder with the help of a to the to be printed text corresponding printing form on the bronze absorbing negative pressure been applied, In contrast, the invention consists in that the bronze powder from a body charged with friction or otherwise with static electricity is taken up in its scope and held on until it is taken up by the with sheet that comes into close contact with it is removed at the points where the Adhasion of the adhesive pre- or sub-pressure paint reduces the attraction of the overcomes electrostatically charged body. The invention also consists in that for dusting a body charged by friction with static electricity the bronze particles that are still loosely attached by its attraction to the bronzed sheet completely removed, which means that the work is completely dust-free got to.
This is done both when applying the bronze to the printed sheet as well as when removing dust from the printed sheet, any development of dust vortices is prevented, as any soaring dust particle is instantly exposed to static electricity charged cylinder or other shaped body is attracted.
It is already known per se to produce objects with a uniform Layer of fine particles, e.g. B. powder, to be coated in that the electrostatic charged and then guided through a space filled with the relevant particles will. It is also known e.g. B. fine abrasives under the influence of an electrical Field to apply to an adhesive provided with carrier. After all it is also not new to remove dust from its carrier for cleaning purposes, that z. B. with static electricity charged roller body o. The like. About the Carriers are moved, which attract and remove the dust particles.
The invention is illustrated in the following, for example in the form of a drawing: Fig. 1 shows an overall overview of the bronzing machine in longitudinal section, Fig. 2 shows an embodiment of the dust carrier designed as a cylinder in longitudinal and cross section.
In # Fig. i represent 1, 2 dust carriers, the only difference being that dust carrier i removes the bronze for transfer to the printed sheet 3 by attraction due to its surface made magnetically by frictional electricity and transfers it to the printed sheet 3 again, and the dust carrier 2 the still slight traces of bronze. which are not held by the printing ink, picks up again and thus subjects the Bogeji to a final cleaning. The bronze support 2 is always kept clean by the ti scraper 5, which is connected to a suction device 6. On the way between the dust carriers 1, 2 the printed sheet 3 provided with bronze color must also pass two calender rollers 7, 8 , where the bronze print is given a high gloss by these smoothing rollers. The printing sheet feeder is actuated by the transport device 9, 10, ii, on which the iriehr or less required contact with the dust carriers i, - can be regulated by the pressure rollers 12, 13. In Fig. 2, where we see a dust carrier in longitudinal and cross-section, the circumference 14 is represented by a cylinder made of glass, hard rubber, synthetic resin or any other suitable material and which can be seen by rubbing it with fur, leather, silk or the like can easily be charged with static electricity and thus provided with magnetic properties ' 3 k5 , which we know from rubbed amber. The cylinder 14 is provided with end walls 15, 16 on both sides. Said dust carrier 14, loosely supported on shaft 18, receives its drive via gear 17 attached to end wall 15. In order to generate the static electricity, brushes ig, which are made of leather, fur, silk or the like, are moved in the opposite direction to the cylinder 14 in the interior of the cylinder 14. The brushes ig, which are arranged to be radially displaceable on the pressure stars 2o, are constantly pressed against the inner wall of the cylinder 14 by springs 2i.
By the described new device for the transfer of bronze on the print sheet, which of course is also used to powder fresh prints can be prevented, any development of dust eddies, (la every soaring Dust particles immediately from the cylinders 1 charged with static electricity, 2 is tightened.
