Bei derartigen Anlagen tritt die Erscheinung auf, daß je nach den Druckverhältnissen ein Gasaustausch zwischen Brennkammer und Luftkanal stattfindet. Gewöhnlich herrscht im Luftkanal Überdruck. Dann tritt durch Undichtigkeiten im Mauerwerk Luft in die Brennkammer und stört die Flammenausbildung. Hat der Kanal Unterdruck, so saugt er durch die Fugen des Mauerwerkes Feuergase an und versetzt sich daher sehr bald mit Flugasche.
