Die durch den Lederfaserbrei herbeigeführte, Hohlräume für die Isolierung frei lassende Bindung geht nämlich offenbar in zweierlei Richtungen vor sich, indem i. die Lederfaserteile sich an den einzelnen Teilen der Füllkörper verklammern und so die Füllkörperteile, z. B. durch einen zweiten Mahlvorgang erfolgen kann, von überschüssigem Wasser befreit und ohne oder mit Wärme unter Druck abgepreßt wird. Die auf diese Weise gewonnene Platte wird getrocknet und erhärtet während des Trockenvorgangs.
