B. das sulfosalicylsaure, das methylencitronensaure Hexamethylentetramin und andere, durch Erhitzen in geschlossenen Gefäßen sterilisiert werden können, ohne daß eine Zersetzung eintritt. Den wäßrigen Lösungen der Salze kann man gegebenenfalls noch freies Hexamethylentetramin zusetzen. Man hat bereits Lösungen von Salzen des Hexamethylentetramins in offenen Gefäßen erhitzt. Dabei tritt jedoch im Gegensatz zu dem Erhitzen in geschlossenen Gefäßen Zersetzung ein, die sich in Gewichtsverlusten der gelösten Substanz sowie in alkalischer Reaktion der, ursprünglich sauer reagierenden Lösung geltend macht.It has now been found that the sterilizability of hexamethylenetetramine solutions by heating is not limited to -das camphoric hexamethylenetetramine, but that other salts of hexamethylenetetramine, such as.
