US-Patent 4,883,660 von Blackman et al. beschreibt Gelbasen für pharmazeutische Zusammensetzungen, die Behenylalkohol und ein Glykol oder ein ausgewähltes ethoxyliertes Lösungsmittel enthalten. - Das
US-Patent 5,100,657 von Ansheer-Jackson et al. beschreibt Haar-Conditioner-Zusammensetzungen, die saubereres Haar bereitstellen, als andere auf der Basis von quartären Ammoniumverbindungen und Lipid-Materialien. Das primäre Verdickungsmittel ist ein nichtionischer langkettiger alkylierter Celluloseether. Ein Fettalkohol, wie Behenylalkohol, wird als Conditioner verwendet. - Das
US-Patent 5,510,100 von Picard et al. beschreibt eine Öl-in-Wasser-Emulsion, die eine autoemulgierbare Zusammensetzung auf der Basis eines Fettalkohols und eines Alkylpolyosids und eines Coemulgators enthält. - Das
US-Patent 5,827,920 von Wanatabe et al. beschreibt eine tensidfreie Emulsion, umfassend einen höheren Alkohol, der bei Raumtemperatur ein Feststoff ist, ein Acrylsäure-Methacrylsäure-Alkyl-Copolymer und ein Silikonöl. - Das
US-Patent 5,948,416 von Wagner et al. beschreibt stabile topische Zusammensetzungen, die ein stabiles hydrophobes Strukturierungsmittel (das einen Behenylalkohol enthalten kann) und ein hydrobhiles Tensid umfassen. - Das
US-Patent 5,973,066 von Sakuta et al. beschreibt eine wässrige Öl-in-Wasser-Organopolysiloxan-Emulsion, umfassend ein quartäres Ammoniumchlorid mit 1 oder 2 Stearyl- oder Behenylgruppen. - Das
US-Patent 6,274,130 von Murray et al. beschreibt ein Spül-Conditioner-Produkt für das Haar, umfassend ein kationisches Tensid, ein ausgewähltes Emulsions-polymerisiertes nichtionisches Dimethiconol-Conditioner-Polymer, wobei die Zusammensetzung gegebenenfalls Behenylalkohol enthalten kann. - Das
US-Patent 6,419,946 von Sonneville et al. beschreibt eine Nanoemulsion auf der Basis von Mischestern einer Fettsäure oder Fettalkohols, einer Carbonsäure und eines Glycerins. - Behenylalkohol wird bei einer Reihe von Körperpflegeprodukten verwendet, insbesondere für die Haarpflege. Eine Aufgabe der Erfindung ist die Bereitstellung stabilisierter Formen von Behenylalkohol, die sich als Perlglanzmittel eignen, und die sich einfacher verwenden lassen als herkömmliche Typen von Behenylalkohol-Zusammensetzungen.
- Kurze Zusammenfassung der Erfindung
- Niederviskose, stabile Dispersion von Behenylalkohol, umfassend:
- (a) etwa 10 bis etwa 40 Gew.% Behenylalkohol, bezogen auf die aktiven Bestandteile (vorzugsweise 20 bis 25%);
- (b) etwa 1,00 bis 8,0 Gew.% (vorzugsweise 1 bis 5%) eines anionischen Tensids, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus Natriumlaurylethersulfat, Natriumlaurylsulfat, Magnesiumlaurylethersulfat, Magnesiumlaurylsulfat, Calciumlaurylethersulfat, Calciumlaurylsulfat (am besten zur Vermeidung von Viskositätsproblemen), Ammoniumlaurylethersulfat und Ammoniumlaurylsulfat;
- (c) etwa 1,0 bis etwa 3,0 Gew.% (bezogen auf die aktiven Bestandteile) Betain, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus C12-18-Amidopropylbetainen (beispielsweise Cocamidopropylbetain);
- (d) gegebenenfalls etwa 0,3 bis 5,0 Gew.% eines geradkettigen oder isoverzweigten C12-C20-Alkohols mit 2 bis 20 Mol (insbesondere 2 bis 10) Ethoxylierung (beispielsweise Isosteareth-2, Isosteareth-4, Isosteareth-10, Laureth 2-20, und insbesondere Laureth-2, Laureth-4 und Laureth-10) (wobei höhere Mengen Ethoxylierung für die längeren Kohlenstoff ketten verwendet werden); und
- (e) gegebenenfalls ein kationisches Material mit S 22 Kohlenstoffatomen (beispielsweise ein kationisches Material, wie C8-C22 Alkylammoniumchlorid, vorzugsweise ausgewählt aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus Cetyltrimethylammoniumchlorid, (ebenfalls als Cetrimoniumchlorid bezeichnet) und Cocotrimethylammoniumchlorid); wobei die Dispersion:
- (a1) eine Stabilität von mindestens 3 Monaten bei einer Temperatur von 49°C hat;
- (b1) eine Viskosität im Bereich von 1000 bis 20000 Centipoise ("CPS") hat (beispielsweise 1000 bis 20000 cps, insbesondere 1000 bis 15000 cps und ganz besonders 1000 bis 8000 cps); und
- (c1) auf weniger als 0,2 Gew.% Gesamtkationenmaterial eingeschränkt ist.
- Die Erfindung umfasst auch ein Verfahren zum
- (A) Vereinigen der oben aufgeführten Inhaltsstoffe;
- (B) Schmelzen und Mischen der Reihe von Inhaltsstoffen bei einer Temperatur im Bereich von etwa 80 bis etwa 85°C zur Erzeugung eines vereinigten Materials;
- (C) Rühren und Homogenisieren des vereinigten Materials bei einer Temperatur im Bereich von etwa 80 bis etwa 85°C für mindestens etwa 1 Std.;
- (D) Abkühlen des vereinigten Materials auf eine Temperatur im Bereich von etwa 20 bis etwa 25°C bei einer Kühlgeschwindigkeit im Bereich von etwa 0,05 bis 0,4°C/min; vorzugsweise 0,15 bis 0,3 und am stärksten bevorzugt bei einer Geschwindigkeit von 0,2 bis 0,25°C/min; und
- (E) Halten des vereinigten Materials bei einer Temperatur von etwa 20 bis etwa 25°C für mindestens 2 Std.
- Eingehende Beschreibung der Erfindung
- Die erfindungsgemäßen Dispersionen sind strukturviskos. Da die Viskosität der Dispersion während der Aufbewahrung zunehmen kann, ist es bevorzugt, dass die Dispersion in einem niederen Bereich der Viskosität, wie im Bereich von 1000 bis 5000 cps hergestellt wird.
- "Stabil" bedeutet, dass die Dispersion einer Beurteilung durch optische Begutachtung zufolge sogar bei Temperaturen im Bereich von 49°C für den beschriebenen Zeitraum von 3 Monaten eine 0% Trennung ergibt. Es wurde jedoch entdeckt, dass mindestens 1% des anionischen Tensids und mindestens 1% des Betains benötigt werden, damit die für die Erfindung beschriebene bessere Stabilität erhalten wird.
- Es wird vorzugsweise Isosteareth-2 aufgenommen, wenn ein Haar-Conditioner-Produkt hergestellt werden soll, da es zur Conditioner-Wirkung der endgültigen Haarpflege-Zusammensetzung beiträgt.
- Die erfindungsgemäßen Behenylalkohole können natürlichen sowie synthetisch hergestellten Alkohol enthalten. Natürlicher Alkohol enthält selbstverständlich eine Verteilung der Kohlenstofflängen. Ein bevorzugter Typ von erfindungsgemäß geeignetem Behenylalkohol ist ein 72 bis 80%iges Material, das unter den Handelsnamen Lanette 22, Stenol 1822 A, Stenol 1822-80 und Lanette 22-80 verkauft wird.
- Die Alkohole werden erfindungsgemäß zur Gewinnung eines Perlglanzeffektes (wie in Haarpflegeprodukten, wie Shampoos, Conditionern und Kombinationsprodukten) und Verarbeitbarkeit verwendet.
- Die Verwendung von Alkoholdispersionen (insbesondere Behenylalkohol) ist hilfreich bei der Niedrighaltung der Verfahrenskosten, da die Dispersion ermöglicht, dass stabile Haarpflegeprodukte mit einem kalten Verfahren hergestellt werden.
- Die Viskosität betrifft die Partikelgrößensteuerung; während des Herstellungsverfahrens muss die Dispersion auf mindestens 25°C, am stärksten bevorzugt 20°C abgekühlt werden, und bei dieser Temperatur von 20 bis 25°C für mindestens 2 Std. gehalten werden, so dass ein gutes Viskositätsergebnis erhalten wird.
- Die vorstehend beschriebenen Inhaltsstoffe sind kommerziell erhältlich.
- Tabelle A zeigt die Auswirkung der Endtemperatur zum Abkühlen auf die Viskosität. Verfahren: Schmelzen und/oder Mischen sämtlicher Inhaltsstoffe, die für das spezifische Beispiel aufgeführt sind. Aufwärmen des Gemischs bis zur einer Temperatur von 80 bis 85°C. Rühren/Homogenisieren des Materials für 1 Std. und dann Beginn des Abkühlens mit einer Kühlgeschwindigkeit von 0,2 bis 0,25°C/min. Die Viskosität wurde 24 Std. nach der Herstellung/Fertigstellung der Verbindung mit einer Brookfield-Ausrüstung, RVT, 25°C, Spindel 5, 20 U/min gemessen. TABELLE A

Auch wenn die Fettalkoholethoxylate verwendet werden, sollte die maximale Menge vorzugsweise auf 2% gehalten werden, beispielsweise zwischen 1-2%, so dass das Problem einer zu hohen Viskosität reduziert wird.
- BEISPIELE
- Die folgenden Beispiele sollen die Erfindung veranschaulichen und diese nicht einschränken. In den Beispielen und sonstwo in der Beschreibung der Erfindung haben die chemische Symbole und die Terminologie ihre üblichen und gebräuchlichen Bedeutungen. In den Beispielen wie sonstwo in dieser Anmeldung sind die Werte für Viskosität, Molekulargewichte und Grad der Ethoxylierung oder Propoxylierung Mittelwerte. Die Temperaturen sind, wenn nicht anders angegeben, in °C. Für den Rest der Anmeldung gilt auch, dass die Mengen der Komponenten in Gewichtsprozent auf der Basis des beschriebenen Standards sind; ist kein anderer Standard beschrieben, dann wird das Gesamtgewicht der Zusammensetzung herangezogen. Verschiedene Namen der chemischen Komponenten umfassen diejenigen, die in dem CTFA-International Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary (Cosmetics, Toiletry and Fragrance Association, Inc. 7. Aufl. 1997) aufgeführt sind. Die Viskositäten werden, wenn nicht anders angegeben, mit Brookfield-Viskosimetern (1000-20000 cps, Spindel #5, 20 U/min, 60-Sekunden-Lauf, 25°C) gemessen.
- Beispiel A: Allgemeines Verfahren
- Zu dem Hauptmischgefäß wird Wasser und das anionische Tensid (wie Natriumlaurethsulfat) gegeben. Das Gemisch wird unter Erwärmen auf eine Temperatur von 80 bis 85°C gerührt. Dann wird der pH-Wert auf 7 bis 8 eingestellt. Nach dieser Einstellung werden das Alkylamidopropylbetain und das nichtionische Tensid zugefügt, während die Temperatur 80 bis 85°C beträgt. Nach Beendigung der Zugabe des Tensids wird Behenylalkohol in geschmolzener Flüssigkeit (wie Lanette-22 (72 bis 80%) oder langsam in festem Zustand zugegeben, so dass die Temperatur bei 80 bis 85°C gehalten wird. Der Inhalt des Mischgefäßes wird mindestens 45 bis 60 min bei 80 bis 85°C gerührt. Anschließend wird das Gefäß bei einer Kühlgeschwindigkeit von 0,05 bis 0,4 °C/min, vorzugsweise 0,15 bis 0,3 und am stärksten bevorzugt bei einer Geschwindigkeit von 0,2 bis 0,25 °C/min abgekühlt. Nach dem Abkühlen des Gemischs auf etwa 20 bis 25°C werden die Eigenschaften überprüft. Das Gemisch wird dann für weitere 1 bis 2 Std. bei 20 bis 25°C gerührt. Die Viskosität kann bei Bedarf gemessen werden, wobei die oben beschriebene Ausrüstung und die Bedingungen verwendet werden.
- Beispiel 1-15
- Das in Beispiel A beschriebene allgemeine Verfahren kann zur Herstellung von 5 kg Ansätzen verwendet, wobei die Typen und Mengen der in den Tabellen B-D aufgeführten Inhaltsstoffe verwendet werden. Die Beispiele 1 bis 6 sind Vergleichsbeispiele, die die nicht erfindungsgemäßen Formulierungen zeigen. TABELLE B – Einfache Tensidsysteme

Claims (8)
- Niederviskose stabile Dispersion von Behenylalkohol, umfassend: (a) etwa 10 bis 40 Gew.-% Behenylalkohol, bezogen auf die aktiven Bestandteile; (b) etwa 1,00 bis 8,0 Gew.-% eines anionischen Tensids, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus Natriumlaurylethersulfat, Natriumlaurylsulfat, Magnesiumlaurylethersulfat, Magnesiumlaurylsulfat, Calciumlaurylethersulfat, Calciumlaurylsulfat, Ammoniumlaurylethersulfat und Ammoniumlaurylsulfat; (c) etwa 1,0 bis 3,0 Gew.-% (bezogen auf die aktiven Bestandteile) Betain, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus C12-18-Amidopropylbetainen; (d) gegebenenfalls etwa 0,3 bis 5,0 Gew.-% eines geradkettigen oder isoverzweigten C12-C20-Alkohols mit 2 bis 20 mol Ethoxylierung; (e) gegebenenfalls ein kationisches Material mit ≤ 22 Kohlenstoffatomen; wobei die Dispersion: (a1) eine Stabilität von mindestens 3 Monaten bei einer Temperatur von 49°C hat; (b1) eine Viskosität im Bereich von 1000 bis 20000 Centipoise hat; und (c1) auf weniger als 0,2 Gew.-% Gesamtkationenmaterial eingeschränkt ist.
- Niederviskose stabile Dispersion von Behenylalkohol nach Anspruch 1, umfassend: (a) etwa 20 bis 25% Behenylalkohol; und (b) etwa 1 bis 5% anionisches Tensid.
- Niederviskose stabile Dispersion von Behenylalkohol nach Anspruch 1 mit einer Viskosität im Bereich von 1000 bis 15000 cps.
- Niederviskose stabile Dispersion von Behenylalkohol nach Anspruch 1 mit einer Viskosität im Bereich von 1000 bis 8000 cps.
- Niederviskose stabile Dispersion von Behenylalkohol nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Betain Cocoamidopropylbetain ist.
- Niederviskose stabile Dispersion von Behenylalkohol nach Anspruch 1, wobei das anionische Tensid Calciumlaurylsulfat ist.
- Niederviskose stabile Dispersion von Behenylalkohol nach Anspruch 1, wobei der geradkettige oder isoverzweigte C12-C20-Alkohol mit 2 bis 20 mol Ethoxylierung ausgewählt ist aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus Isosteareth-2, Isosteareth-4, Isosteareth-10 und Laureth 2-20.
- Verfahren zur Herstellung einer stabilen Dispersion von Behenylalkohol, wobei die Dispersion eine Stabilität von mindestens 3 Monaten bei einer Temperatur von 49°C hat; eine Viskosität im Bereich von 1000 bis 20000 aufweist und nicht mehr als 0,2 Gew.-% eines kationischen Materials hat, wobei das Verfahren umfasst: (A) Vereinigen einer Reihe von Inhaltsstoffen, umfassend: (a) 10 bis 40 Gew.-% Behenylalkohol, bezogen auf die aktiven Bestandteile; (b) 1,0 bis 8,0 Gew.-% eines anionischen Tensids, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus Natriumlaurylethersulfat, Natriumlaurylsulfat, Magnesiumlaurylethersulfat, Magnesiumlaurylsulfat, Calciumlaurylethersulfat, Calciumlaurylsulfat, Ammoniumlaurylethersulfat und Ammoniumlaurylsulfat; (c) 1,0 bis 3,0 Gew.-% (bezogen auf die aktiven Bestandteile) Betain, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe, bestehend aus C12-18 Amidopropylbetainen; und (d) gegebenenfalls 0,3 bis 5,0 Gew.-% eines geradkettigen oder isoverzweigten C12- bis C20-Alkohols mit 2 bis 20 mol Ethoxylierung; (B) Schmelzen und Mischen der Reihe von Inhaltsstoffen mit einer Temperatur im Bereich von 80 bis 85°C zur Erzeugung eines vereinigten Materials; (C) Rühren und Homogenisieren des vereinigten Materials bei einer Temperatur im Bereich von 80 bis 85°C für mindestens 1 Std.; (D) Abkühlen des vereinigten Materials auf eine Temperatur im Bereich von 20 bis 25°C bei einer Kühlgeschwindigkeit im Bereich von 0,05 bis 0,4°C/min; und (E) Halten des vereinigten Materials bei einer Temperatur von 20 bis 25°C für mindestens 2 Std.
