Abstract

By means of a device, especially for muffling the air drawn in by a compressor and comprising a filter mat in the flow path of the air drawn in and a chamber downstream of the filter mat, a solution is to be provided by which muffling of the air drawn in is made possible and by which, in a refinement, at least some guidance of the cooling air flow over the compressor can be achieved. This is achieved by arranging, for the purpose of deflecting the air which is drawn through the filter mats (6) and which enters into a sound-insulating duct (7), for a sound-insulating duct (7) to adjoin the filter mat chamber (4) at an angle thereto. <IMAGE>
