Abstract

1. A liquid-cooled low-noise combustion engine having an enclosure which receives the engine and associated fan and which has such a widening near the fan air exit as to make possible an inclined air exit (with a radial component) a in the case of an unenclosed fan, characterized in that : the enclosure has at the fan exit a conical widening which follows the streamline pattern associated with the unenclosed fan, and the cross-section of the enclosure immediately adjacent the widening gradually narrows to a cross-section conditioned by operating considerations (cooling air throughput, noise emission).
