Abstract
PURPOSE:To feed an engine with outside air not effected by the heat radiated from the engine so as to raise the charging efficiency of the engine by arranging the outside air squirt hole of a cowling covering the engine in the vicinity of the engine air intake. CONSTITUTION:An outside air squirt hole 28 of plural number of cowlings 13, 14 covering the engine 16 equipped on an outboard motor body 12 is to be arranged in the vicinity of an engine air intake. An air ventilation exit 55 is provided on the opposite side of the air intake at the downstream side form the engine 16 circumference cooling air ventilation current that is branched from the intake current flowing out from the outside air squirt hole 28 to feed the air intake. A ventilation fan 34 to discharge the air in a cowling space 15 to the outside by leading the air to the ventilation exit 55 is to be provided in an air ventilation passage located between the outside air squirt hole 28 and the air ventilation exit 55. This contrivance feeds the engine 16 with the outside air not effected by the heat radiated from the engine 16 so as to raise the charging efficiency of the engine 16.
