N-Aralkyl-2-methylpyrazolanthrone
der Einwirkung von alkalischen Mitteln unterworfen werden.Process for the preparation of condensation products of the pyrazole anthrone series
In the main patent 5z7 845 is a process for the production of new condensation products
the pyrazole anthrone series, which consists in the fact that N-alkyl or. N-aralkyl-2-methylpyrazole anthrones
be subjected to the action of alkaline agents.
About the constitution of the new condensation products could be found in the main patent
no further details have yet been given. But it was found that they are
of those obtained by the action of caustic alkalis on NT-alkylpyrazole anthrones
Fundamentally differentiate between condensation products. Further investigation then has
result in the 2-methyl group participating in the reaction to form a CH-CH group
is involved. The surprising formation of the same speaks for this assumption
Condensation products according to the present process.
Beispiel i 2,5 kg i # i'-Dichloranthraflavon, 3 kg Hydrazinhydrat und 75
Beispiel i des Hauptpatents erhältlichen roten Farbstoff neben geringen :Mengen
Namely, it was found that the i # i'-dihaloanthraflavone (obtained
according to H e p p, reports 46, 711, from i-chloro-ü) -dibromo-2-methylanthraquinone)
Effect of hydrazine and subsequent alkylation in the products of the main patent
is transferred, namely here during the alkylation or, depending on the type
the alkylation mostly the two isomeric alkylated products, which in the main patent,
starting from the two isomeric 1V-alkyl- or N-aralkyl-2-methylpyrazole anthrones,
are available. The process is carried out in such a way that the dihaloanthraflavone
in a suitable solvent with the addition of an acid-binding agent or
particularly advantageous in the presence of a tertiary aromatic base with hydrazine hydrate
is heated. The subsequent alkylation can either be in aqueous-alcoholic solution
with dialkyl sulfate or in an inert organic solvent with toluenesulfonic acid esters
be carried out with the addition of an acid-binding agent. The separation of oneself
Forming isomeric condensation products can be made by crystallization
will. Example i 2.5 kg i # i'-dichloroanthraflavone, 3 kg hydrazine hydrate and 75
kg of quinoline are heated to 160 ° to 180 ° for 3 hours with stirring. After cooling down
the separated reaction product is possibly more alcoholic by extraction with i ° joiger

In the alkaline filtrate, the new compound separates into brownish-yellow on acidification
Flakes off. In alcoholic lye it is intensely blue-red in color, in concentrated form
Sulfuric acid soluble with dichroic blue-red to violet color. Example e
4k of the compound obtained according to Example i are about 120 liters more concentrated
Dissolved sulfuric acid. This is followed by slowly running in 10 kg of methyl alcohol
heated to iso to 16o ° for 3 hours. To isolate the alkylation product presses
the intensely violet-red solution on ice and filtered in the form of brown-red
Flakes off unusual products. The filter material essentially contains the after
Example i of the main patent available red dye in addition to small amounts
of the orange condensation product of Example 2 of the main patent. Your separation
easily achieved by crystallization from 100 times the amount of trichlorobenzene. While
the red dye crystallizes out, the orange condensation product remains
in solution and can be achieved by precipitation of the filtrate with ether and repeated crystallization
can be kept pure. The two isolated products show those in the main patent as
characteristic of them specified properties.
Example 3 To a solution of 2 kg of the obtained according to Example i
2.5 kg of dimethyl sulfate are left in the product in kg of a 2% alcoholic liquor
gradually run in at d.o to 5o °. After a short time, the alkylated one separates
Condensation product, which essentially contains the orange condensation product
and, as indicated in example i, can be obtained pure.
A similar mixture of the two condensation products is obtained,
if one considers the alkylation of the dry reaction product obtained according to Example i
executes in nitrobenzene with paratoluene sulfonic acid methyl ester with the addition of potash.
