Description
B. G 1 u u d , Handbuch der Kokerei, Bd.II, Seite 98).Process for the production of gases rich in hydrogen sulphide aqueous solutions of alkali carbonate, bicarbonate and sulfhydrate are the subject of Invention is a process for the recovery of gases rich in hydrogen sulfide from aqueous solutions of alkali carbonate, bicarbonate and sulfhydrate. Such Solutions arise, for example, when gases containing hydrogen sulfide with a Alkali carbonate solution to be treated; for the complete elimination of the hydrogen sulfide a certain excess of alkali metal carbonate is naturally required, so that after the conversion of the hydrogen sulfide with the alkali carbonate to alkali bicarbonate and sulfhydrate is still unused carbonate. It is well known from aqueous solutions containing alkali sulfhydrate by treating finite carbon dioxide to win the hydrogen sulfide, since the alkali sulfhydrate with the carbon dioxide converts to alkali bicarbonate and hydrogen sulfide. However, this implementation takes place only takes place completely when all of the carbonate still present has reacted has been converted into bicarbonate with the carbon dioxide. The conversion of the sulfhydrate by means of carbon dioxide to hydrogen sulfide - required according to the law of mass action a large excess of carbon dioxide, so that the hydrogen sulfide is only strong is obtained diluted with carbonic acid. The theoretically available possibility of a such a gas mixture to process the hydrogen sulfide by oxidation have so far proven to be practically impracticable (cf. e.g. G 1 u u d, manual der Kokerei, Vol. II, page 98).
The aim of the invention is to provide one of the solutions mentioned at the outset Generate hydrogen sulfide rich gas; the invention essentially consists in that the solutions mentioned are initially treated with a partial flow of the end gas will; where, as a result of the greater reaction rate, that which is present in the solution Carbonate essentially only converts to bicarbonate with the hydrogen sulfide in the gas and sulfhydrate converts, and that now only consists of bicarbonate and sulfhydrate existing solution is treated with carbon dioxide in a second stage, wherein the entire sulfhydrate converts to hydrogen sulfide and bicarbonate. From this The second stage therefore becomes a pure bicarbonate solution and one rich in hydrogen sulphide Gas won. As described above, a part of this end gas is in the first stage of the process is used, the remaining part can be used without difficulty work processed. It is particularly useful here, including that in the first Stage produced carbon dioxide-rich gas in addition to the freshly supplied carbon dioxide in the second stage to use, with the freshly supplied carbon dioxide is finally brought into contact with the solution.
