Insektenvertilgungsmittel Wie gefunden wurde, lassen sich die vom
Tetrahydronaphthol ableitbaren Äther bzw. deren Derivate und Substitutionsprodukte
in ausgezeichneter Weise zur Insektenbekämpfung verwenden. Derartige Verbindungen
sind z. B. a-Tetrahydronaphtholmethyl- bzw. -äthyläther und ß-Tetrahydronaphtholmethyl-bzw.
-ätlivläther. Sie können entweder allein oder in Mischung mit anderen synthetischen
oder natürlichen Insektiziden, z. B. Pyrethrum bzw. ihren in beliebiger Weise hergestellten
Extrakten, Streck- und Haftmitteln, als Stäubemittel Lind Spritzmittel Verwendung
finden. Durch Zusatz von viskosen Ülen, wie Paraffinöl u. dgl., läßt sich die Schwebefähigkeit

Zeit ist eine restlose Abtötung erfolgt. Beispiel e Man löst 5 Teile a-Tetrahydronaphtholäthyläther
in 5 Teilen Butylalkohol und versetzt mit 15 Teilen Emulgierungsmittel, z. B. einer
5oprozentigen Lösung des Natronsalzes der Dibutylnaphthalinsulfosäure. Hierauf wird
auf ioo Teile mit Wasser verdünnt. Eine etwa 2prozentige Lösung dieser Stammlösung
ergibt die hervorragend wirkende Gebrauchslösung.
