Description

Process for gluing together foils made of cellulose esters with paper, Cardboard and the like The present method relates to gluing sheets together made of cellulose esters with paper, cardboard and the like using glue, gelatin and similar binders.

It is known from the cardboard industry, coated with glue To use paper adhesive strips, which are made to stick by moistening. This method has the disadvantage that due to the `water content of the adhesive, which is absorbed by the paper, stretching of the paper, cardboard, etc. arise and when drying, bubbles and wrinkles are formed. On the other hand, it is known Sheet metal on paper surfaces with the help of adhesives, in particular resins fasten, which are not made to stick by moistening, but by heating will.

It has now been found that sheets of cellulose esters with paper, Cardboard and the like are suitably combined in such a way that the film is wrapped with a strong provides a diluted adhesive layer made of glue, gelatine or similar binders, which is moistened on the surface before sticking and with the help of a hot roller is heated. By combining the two known adhesive processes described above one achieves that the only superficially swollen adhesive layer under the "# Effect of the heat of the roller melts and the paper becomes intimate with the cellulose ester connects without stretching or wrinkling. When applying the adhesive layer on the cellulose ester films has the disadvantage that the Adhesive does not bond firmly enough to the cell horn surface. This difficulty is overcome according to the invention that the cell horn sheet before application the adhesive layer is provided with a suitable preparation. Suitable for this In particular, thin chromate gel.tinelösungen, as they are in the photographic Industry for the preparation of the film serving as the substrate for the application of the emulsion be used.

PATENT CLAIM: Process for gluing together foils made of cellulose esters with paper. Cardboard and the like using glue, gelatin or similar binders, characterized in that the film is made with a preparation known per se. such as B. from chromate gelatin, and then coated with an even thin layer of adhesive and dried. in order to be brought together with the paper, cardboard or the like after superficial moistening on a hot surface, so that the fusion of the swollen adhesive layer brings about the union of the film with the paper.
