Description

Die bislang "bekannten Walzen dieser Art sind so ausgebildet, daß jede Walze aus einem
starren, zylindrischen Kern und ein paar Stirnscheiben besteht, an welchen die üblichen
Stoffe zur Aufnahme und Übertragung der Farbe oder Feuchtigkeit so befestigt sind,
to daß sie eine zylindrische Mantelfläche bilden und zwischen sich und dem Walzenkern einen
Spielraum belassen, in dem ein Luftschlauch untergebracht ist, der sich durch ein Ventil
an einer der Stirnseitien aufblasen läßt.
Offenbar ist eine derart gebaute Walze sehr elastisch und ermöglicht, den auf die färbende
und anzufeuchtende Fläche auszuübenden Druck durch Verstärken oder Verringern des
Luftdruckes veränderlich zu machen.
Aber diese Walzen haben den "Nachteil, daß sie unter der Einwirkung der Drücke, denen
sie ausgesetzt sind, leicht ihre Gestalt ändern. Hier setzt die Erfindung ein, welche bezweckt,
diese Walzen ständig in zylindrischer Form zu halten. Sie besteht darin, daß jede pneumatische
Wabe in der Arbeitsstellung entsprechend den Erzeugenden — Mantellängslinien
— mit wenigstens drei starren Walzen, die parallel zu ihr sind, in Berührung steht.
