Vor allem aber mußte der Drehantriebsmotor abgebremst werden, damit er beim Rück transport in der entgegengesetzten Drehrichtung laufen konnte. Das bedingte erheb liche Zeitverluste. Ein weiterer Nachteil dieser bekannten Ausführung bestand darin, daß der seitlich des Messers sitzende Motor für dessen Drehantrieb einen großen Raumbedarf, insbesondere in einer Richtung erforderte, in der man wenig Platz hatte, beziehungsweise Platz sparen wollte. Unabhängig von dem ersten Riemen 2 ist ein zweiter endloser Riemen 9 vorgesehen, der ebenfalls über die ganze Maschinenbreite läuft und von einem eigenen Motor 11 angetrieben wird.
