Description

Process for fractional distillation, especially of hydrocarbons. One of the main difficulties in fractional distillation of liquid mixtures, z. B. a hydrocarbon mixture, as it is the crude petroleum, consists known to be a really complete and pure divorce in the individual To achieve temperature limits corresponding distillation products. Is made more difficult the achievement of this goal on the one hand by not doing so in every stage only those components of the mixture pass over whose boiling point is the same as in the case in question Stage reached temperature is the same or exceeds it, but that in each case also not yet boiling, less volatile substances are entrained, and that on the other hand in every stage by no means all components of the mixture, their boiling point is reached or exceeded. The result is; that when you get on really pure divorce values', one is forced to the distillation process and the Let the temperature increase go as slowly as possible. But this will naturally adversely affects the economy.

However, the invention now shows a way in which a complete and pure separation can be achieved despite the greatest distillation speed. The distillation products obtained in this way are also characterized by their extensive freedom from foreign impurities. The new process consists in adding soap in the amount of about 1/4 to 1/2 percent to the mixtures to be distilled. This soap dissolves when z. B. crude oil is to be distilled, in this at about 100 to 100 ° C. Extensive experiments have shown that this simple means can be used to achieve sharply defined distillation stages, prevent entrainment of still liquid components and contaminants and complete volatilization corresponding to the respective temperature is achieved. Is - the distillation carried out completely, the soap remains in the residues and dissolves when placed in this new oil, in the latter as soon as the next distillation process the temperature. has reached the sufficient height again. The same amount of soap can therefore be reused as long as the amount of residue has not reached an impermissible level.
