Description

Process for the pretreatment of electrostatic debris with oily Wetting agents before separation In the electrostatic separation of two or multicomponent mixtures with different types of surface resistance, it is known to pretreat the material to be cut with oily wetting agents before separation in order to the surface resistance of at least one of the batch proportions compared to the or to increase the remaining proportions and in this way the selectivity in the electrostatic Boost field. It is also known per se, the electrostatic separating material Exposure to vapors or gases.

It has now been shown that one or the other of the known methods with some batches it is not always sufficient to achieve the desired increase in selectivity to achieve. Therefore, the invention according to the treatment of the scrap Oil wetting associated with treatment by a gaseous or vaporous agent, and it is important that the mixture after wetting with anhydrous Oil, e.g. B. paraffin or coal tar oil, petroleum, fish oil, eucalyptus oil o. The like., With a gaseous or vaporous agent, e.g. water vapor, is treated. This way of treatment has the beneficial effect that the gases - or Fumes essentially will only be accepted by the mixture fractions that have not been wetted by the oil, which parts wetted with oil but remain essentially unaffected. The oil wetting and the subsequent steam or gas treatment thus complement each other with the result, that the surface conductivity of the one part of the mixture compared to the or the other proportions experience such an increase that the subsequent electrostatic Separation of the pretreated goods poses no difficulties.
