die Triebwerkteile der Messer, die mit dem Gase, welches mit dem Öl in Berührung
gebracht ist, zusammentreffen, besser erhalten bleiben, indem das im Gase vorhandene
Öl gleichsam als Schmiermittel wirkt. Man wählt die Menge des Öls derartig, daß

Zum Festhalten der Packung sind Federn o dgl. h vorgesehen. Das Gas kommt durch
die Leitung i und tritt durch die Öffnungen des Zylinders f in die Lederpackung,
die mit Öl getränkt ist, windet sich durch diese hindurch und tritt dann unten durch
k aus. Von hier aus kommt dann das Gas in den Gasmesser. Das Gefäß ist derartig
eingerichtet, daß auch bei der wagerechten Lage des Gefäßes ein Auslaufen nicht
stattfindet. Die Lederfüllung, namentlich g, saugt aus dem Ölbehälter Öl an und
führt dasselbe in den Zwischenraum zwischen f und a, wo das Gas mit
dem Öl in Berührung kommt. Das verwendete Leder ist vorteilhaft von gleicher Beschaffenheit
