Paten t-Aksprüche:The invention relates to a fastening of the bearing shells for the wheel axles, especially of railway vehicles. Up until now, the bearing shells were fastened in the bearing housing either by pouring the housing with easily meltable bearing metal with the aid of a suitable casting mold or by driving the previously completed shells into the housing specially designed for this purpose; Attempts have also been made to fasten the shells in the bearing housing using wedges, screws or the like. The invention provides a fastening of the bearing shells in the housing, which makes the use of special means separate from the shell just as unnecessary as the cumbersome fitting work or casting mold previously required, so that not only worn shells are quickly and easily removed from the housing, but also new bowls can be attached to it just as quickly, easily and securely. For this purpose, the shell is at suitable points with flexible lugs, e.g. B. made of band iron, which can be easily bent back and forth and prevent the shell from falling out of the housing in the bent state. An example embodiment is shown in the drawing in cross section (Fig. 1) and in longitudinal section (Fig. 2). The bearing shell 1 made of white metal, gunmetal or other suitable materials protrudes with the pin-like projection 2 into the recess 3 of the bearing housing 4. The pin 2 is traversed in the transverse or longitudinal direction by an iron band 5, which can either be cast in it or otherwise attached in or on it or consist of one piece with the shell, if this is made of sufficiently flexible material . As Fig. 1 shows, the free ends of the iron band 5 are bent over the edge of the recess 3 of the housing that they hold the shell in the housing. In the embodiment of the housing shown in the drawing, you can grasp under the bent ends of the band with a suitable tool and thus easily bend the ends of the band open again, as shown in the drawing in dotted lines. Sponsorship claims: 1. Attachment of the bearing shell in the bearing housing, especially for the axles of railway vehicles, characterized in that the shell is provided with flexible lugs on the outside, which in the bent state prevent the shell from detaching from the housing. 2. Bearing according to claim 1, characterized in that a flexible metal strip is connected to the shell in such a way that its ends are exposed.
