Description

Die Herstellung von Wachs- und Kohlepapiermassen für Durchschreibpapiere für den einmaligen und mehrmaligen Gebrauch ist seit über 100 Jahren bekannt und im Laufe der Jahre verbessert und verbilligt worden.
Seit einigen Jahren ist jedoch ein Rückgang bei der Anwendung von Kohlepapier festzustellen. Die Ursache ist der sich vermindernde Preisabstand zu den immer billiger werdenen Kapselpapieren.
Für besondere Anwendungszwecke wird man jedoch nicht auf Kohlepapier verzichten können. So wird für besonders intensive Durchschriften und zum Herstellen einer großen Zahl von Kopien immer noch Kohlepapier verwendet.
Eine vermehrte Anwendung von Kohlepapier könnte durch Verbesserung der Qualität und Verbilligung erreicht werden.
Die Durchschrift mit Kohlepapier wird durch die ausgewogene Mischung aus Wachsen, Ölen und Farbmitteln erreicht. Hohe Kopienzahl bei guter Intensität erreicht man mit Wachsfarben, die besonders weich eingestellt sind, d. h., daß deren Ölanteile hoch sind. Dadurch wird allerdings die Sauberkeit der Kopien durch unbeabsichtigten Masseübergang beeinträchtigt. Außerdem migriert das Öl ins Papier und die Farbe trocknet ein.
Stellt man die Kohlepapierfarbe fester ein, ist zwar der unbeabsichtigte Masseübergang gering, jedoch wird die Kopierfähigkeit vermindert.
Die beiden Maßnahmen haben also gegenläufige Folgen.
Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung war es, einen Ausweg aus diesem Dilemma zu finden und die bekannten Wachs-/Kohlepapiermassen zu verbessern, um stabile Vervielfältigungspapiere zu erhalten, die eine hohe Zahl von Durchsschriften erlauben.
Erfindungsgemäß wird diese Aufgabe dadurch gelöst, daß man den Wachs- und Kohlepapiermassen auf Basis von Wachsen, Ölen und Farbmitteln zumindest einen Teil des erforderlichen Öls in verkapselter Form zusetzt.
Dies hat den Vorteil, daß die Beschichtung durch wenig freies Öl trockner und sauberer ist, daß der Abdruck vom Papier vollständiger als bisher erfolgt, daß durch das eingekapselte Öl eine Verbesserung der Lagerfähigkeit eintritt und daß die Migrationsneigung des Öls deutlich verringert wird.
Ein weiterer wesentlicher Vorteil ist die Steigerung der Zahl der möglichen Kopien, in der Regel um bis zu 100%.
Für die Herstellung der Wachsfarben kommen die üblichen Komponenten, also die verschiedensten Wachse, Öle, Farbmittel und gegebenenfalls Lösungsmittel in Betracht.

Ozokerit
Wollfett
Esterwachse
Rindertalg
Mikrokristalline Wachse
b) Öle
Mineralische und synthetische Öle mit unterschiedlichem Gehalt an aliphatischen, aromatischen oder naphthenischen Anteilen, gegebenenfalls mit einem Gehalt an Lösungsmitteln
Animalische und vegetabilische Öle
c) Farbmittel
Bevorzugt verwendet wird Ruß. Aber auch andere Farbpigmente, insbesondere Alkaliblau-Marken, finden Verwendung. Der Einsatz von löslichen Farbstoffen ist zwar möglich, aber aufgrund wirtschaftlicher Überlegungen unüblich.
Die Öl enthaltenden Mikrokapseln können alle in den Wachsfarben üblicherweise verwendeten Öle, soweit sie für die Verkapselung geeignet sind, enthalten. Darüber hinaus eignen sich Öle, wie sie in Mikrokapseln für chemische Durchschreibepapiere verwendet werden. Mikrokapseln mit gelöstem Reaktfarbstoff oder anderen Farbstoffen in sprühgetrockneter Form eignen sich für diese Anwendung ebenfalls vorzüglich.
Als Mikrokapseln können naturgemäß alle gegen die in den Wachs- oder Kohlepapiermassen enthaltenen Komponenten stabilen Kapseln verwendet werden; solche Kapseln sind Stand der Technik.
Die Mengenverhältnisse der Wachse, Öle und Farbmittel entsprechen denen der üblichen Mischungen, nur daß erfindungsgemäß ein Teil des Öles in eingekapselter Form zugesetzt wird. Das können 1 bis 100, vorzugsweise 1-50 und insbesondere 5 bis 10% des Öls in eingekapselter Form sein.
Üblicherweise enthalten die erfindungsgemäßen Massen
10-60 Teile Wachs
10-60 Teile Öl und
 1-60 Teile Farbmittel,
sowie gegebenenfalls noch Lösungsmittel.
Die Beschichtung der Träger erfolgt nach den bekannten Verfahren.
In dem folgenden Beispiel beziehen sich Angaben über Teile und Prozente, sofern nicht anders vermerkt wurde, auf das Gewicht.
Beispiel
Eine Wachsfarbe wurde nach folgendem Rezept gefertigt:
32 Teile Carnaubawachs,
 5 Teile Esterwachs,
40 Teile Mineralöl,
20 Teile Ruß und
 3 Teile Öl enthaltendes Mikrokapselpulver
In das vorgelegte Mineralöl wurden die Wachsanteile gegeben und erwärmt, bis alles geschmolzen vorlag. In die flüssige Masse wurde dann Ruß eingetragen und dispergiert. Nachdem dieser Vorgang abgeschlossen war, wurde das Mikrokapselpulver eingetragen und ebenfalls vorsichtig disperigert. Das Beschichten erfolgte auf einer üblichen Maschine mit 4,8 g/m2.
Als Vergleich diente eine Wachsfarbe der Zusammensetzung:
35 Teile Carnaubawachs,
 5 Teile Esterwachs,
40 Teile Mineralöl und
20 Teile Ruß.
Die Beschichtung erfolgte mit 8 g/m2 auf einer üblichen Maschine.
Die Gegenüberstellung der mit und ohne Mikrokapseln hergestellten Carbonfarben gibt folgende Übersicht:

Claims (6)

1. Wachsmassen und Kohlepapiermassen auf der Basis von Wachsen, Ölen und Farbmitteln, enthaltend zumindest einen Teil des Öls in verkapselter Form.
2. Massen gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie 1 bis 100, vorzugsweise 1 bis 50 und insbesondere 5 bis 10% des Öls in verkapselter Form enthalten.
3. Massen gemäß Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Mikrokapseln die üblicherweise für Kohlepapiermassen verwendeten Öle oder Ölgemische enthalten.
4. Massen gemäß Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Mikrokapseln aromatische, aliphatische oder naphthenische Öle, Lösemittel oder Gemische davon enthalten.
5. Massen gemäß Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Mikrokapseln Mineralöl/Kerosin, Rizinusöl, Dodezylbenzol, Klauenöl, Vaseline, niedrig schmelzende Paraffine oder Gemische davon enthalten.
6. Kohle- oder Vervielfältigungspapiere, enthaltend eine Schicht aus Wachs- oder Kohlepapiermassen gemäß den Ansprüchen 1-5.
