Description
- Gegen Methanol- bzw. Äthanol-Kraftstoffgemische
- beständige Epoxidharz IHärter-Kombinationen Stand der Technik Die Erfindung geht aus von Epoxidharz/Härter-Ecmbinationen nach der Gattung des Hauptanspruchs. Duroplastische Kunststoffe bzw. hieraus hergestellte, ggf. faserverstärkte Formteile werden mehr und mehr beim Bau von Verbrennungsmotoren, beispielsweise von Kraftfahrzeugen, eingesetzt.
- Dies liegt vor allem daran, daß sich bei ihnen sehr gute Festigkeitseigenschaften mit einem geringen Gewicht verbinden, so daß beispielsweise bei schnell sich bewegenden Teilen wie einem Ventilfederteller die bewegte Masse kleiner gehalten werden kann und so die Leistung des Motors sich ohne Schwierigkeiten vergrößern läßt. Das gleiche gilt auch beispielsweise für Elektrokraftstoffpumpen. Es hat sich dabei jedoch herausgestellt, daß bei Teilen, die mit Methanol- bzw. Äthanol-Kraftstoffgemischen oder auch bei Temperaturen oberhalb von 1800 mit Motoröl in Berührung kommen und unter diesen 3edingungen mechanisch belastet werden, bei den entssrechenden Teilen ein Verlust an Festigkeit und Steifigkeit, eine Quellung und, hierdurch verursacht, eine Änderung der Dimensionen auftreten kann, was die entsprechenden Teile schließlich unbrauchbar macht.
- Vorteile der Erfindung Die erfindungsgemäßen Epoxidharz/Härter-Kombinationen mit den kennzeichnenden Merkmalen des Hauptanspruchs haben demgegenüber den Vorteil, daß sie gegen die obengenannten Kraftstoffgemische und gegen Motorenöl auch bei erhöhten Temperaturen beständig sind. Dies eröffnet neue konstruktive Möglichkeiten für bisher aus anderen Werkstoffen, vorzugsweise aus Metallen hergestellte Teile, die in Aggregaten eingesetzt werden, wo diese Teile mit Kraftstoffen oder Ölen in Verbindung kommen.
- Besonders vorteilhaft ist die Verwendung der im Hauptanspruch angegebenen Epoxidharz/Härter-Kombinationen in Verbindung mit Lacksystemen, wobei es sich um Schmelzlacke, um gelöste Lacke, aber auch genauso gut um Pulverlacke oder Wirbelsinterpulver handeln kann; sowie als Bindemittel für Teile, die aus Preßmassen hergestellt werden, wobei als Beispiel ein Ventilfederteller aus Glas-Kurzfasern genannt sei; als Bindemittel für Kohlebürsten, beispielsweise für den Einsatz in Elektrokraftstoffpumpen; schließlich als Matrix für Teile aus gerichteten Endlosfasern wie Glas- oder Kohlenstoffasern, wo als Beispiel Bürstendruckfedern in Form von Ringfedern aus gewickelten Rovings oder Bürstenhalterkrallen aus verpreßten Glasfasergeweben für den Einsatz in Elektrokraftstoffpumpen genannt seien.
- Beschreibung der Ausführungsbeispiele Aus einem Gemisch der Harze TGDDM/TGAP mit Zusatz des Härters DDS sowie aus 100 Gew.-Teilen TGDDM mit 52 Gew.-Teilen DDS wurden in bekannter Weise Glasgewebelaminate hergestellt. Nach einer fünftägigen Lagerung bei 1150r in einem FAM-M15-Prüfgemisch, einem Methanol-KraftstoPf-Gemisch mit 0,5 % Wasser, konnte kein Festigkeitsverlust festgestellt werden. Nach 20-tägiger Lagerung in diesem Medium bei Raumtemperatur waren die Laminate in Faserrichtung um nur 0,1 bis 0,2 % gequollen. Nach tausendstündiger Lagerung in Motoröl von 1800C wiesen die Laminate noch eine Restfestigkeit von ca. 95 # auf.
- Aus Glasfaserrovings mit einer Matrix aus 100 Gew.-Teilen TGDDM/TGAP mit 35 Gew.-Teilen DDS als Härter wurden geschlitzte Ringfedern gewickelt und ausgehärtet und diese unter einer Vorspannung von 145 N/mm dem Kochtest in dem obengenannten Prüfgemisch unterworfen, den sie ohne Dimensions- oder Steifigkeitsänderung überstanden haben.
- Ensprechend hergestellte Vollring-Federn unter einer 2 Vorspannung von 420 N/mm2 wiesen ebenfalls keine Steifigkeitsänderung auf, sie zeigten jedoch eine bleibende Ovalverformung von ca. 5 % des Durchmessers.
- Bei der Verwendung von Glasfasern im Zusammenhang mit den genannten Epoxidharz/Härter-Kombinationen muß darauf geachtet werden, daß die Rovings oder Gewebe aus den Glasfasern schlichtefrei und silanisiert sind, da die üblichen Glasfaserschlichten in den genannten Medien nicht beständig sind.
- Ein mit einem aus TGDDM/TGAP mit DDS als Härter hergestellten Lack lackiertes Zink-Druckgußteil sowie ein mit aus TGIC/DDS hergestellten Lack lackiertes Aluminiumblech absolvierten den obengenannten Kochtest ohne jegliche Korrosion.
Claims (7)
- Ansprüche O EpoxidharzlHärter-Kombinationen, die gegen Methanol-bzw. Äthanol-Kraftstoffgemische beständig sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie als Epoxid Triglycidylisocyanurat (TGIC), Tetraglycidyl-Diamino-Diphenylmethane (TGDDM), Tetraglycidyl-Diamino-Diphenylsulfone (TGDDS) oder Triglycidylaminophenole (TGAP) oder Mischungen mindestens zweier dieser Epoxide in Verbindung mit folgenden aromatischen oder heterocyclischen Aminhärtern: 2, 4, 6-Triamino-1, 3, 5-triazin (Melamin), Diamino-Diphenylmethane (DDM), Diamino-Diphenylsulfone (DDS), Aminophenoläther bzw. Aminophenole (AP) oder Phenylen-Diamine (PhD) oder Mischungen dieser Härter enthalten.
- 2. Epoxidharz/Härter-Kombination nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß 100 Epoxid-Äquivalente der Harzkomponente mit 50 - 100 H-Äquivalenten der Härterkomponente gemischt sind.
- 3. Verwendung der im Anspruch 1 genannten Epoxidharz/ Härter-Kombinationen für Teile, die einem Methanol-bzw. Äthanol-Kraftstoff- oder Methanol- bzw. Äthanol-Kraftstoff-Wasser-Gemisch sowie einem Motoröl bei Temperaturen > 1800C ausgesetzt werden.
- 4. Verwendung nach Anspruch 3, gekennzeichnet, durch den Einsatz in Lacksystemen; als Bindemittel für Preßmassenteile; als Bindemittel für Kohlebürsten; als Matrix für Teile aus gerichteten Endlosfasern.
- 5. Verwendung nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Lacksysteme aus Schmelzlacken, gelösten Lacken oder aus Pulverlacken bzw. Wirbelsinterpulvern bestehen.
- 6. Verwendung nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Preßmassenteile Kurzfasern aus Glas oder Kohlenstoff enthalten.
- 7. Verwendung nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die gerichteten Endlosfasern aus Rovings oder Geweben von Glasfasern oder Kohlefasern bestehen.
