"Antiseptikum"
Die Neuerung bezieht sich auf ein Antiseptikum gemäß dem Oberbegriff des Anspruches 1.
Der Einsatz von Polyhexanid zur Prophylaxe an infektionsge-
fährdeten Wunden sowie zur Therapie bereits infizierter Wunden ist bekannt. Hierbei wird Polyhexanid in wässriger Lösung in Verbindung mit Polyethylenglykol zum Einsatz gebracht, und zwar in verdünnter Lösung. Der Einsatz dieses Mittels auch zur antiinfektiven Abdeckung von Verbrennungswunden ist eben
falls bekannt.
Hierbei hat sich als nachteilig herausgestellt, daß durch die zwangsläufig auftretende Verdunstungskälte bei Anwendung des Mittels als wässrige Lösung, der Patient nachteilig beein
flußt werden kann und die Anwendung der mit der wässrigen Lösung getränkten Trägermittel, wie Mull oder sonstige Verbandsstoffe, zu lokalen Schwierigkeiten führen kann.
Der Neuerung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, den Anwendungsbe
reich des an sich gegenüber Jod, Quecksilber und Aldehyth vorteilhaften Mittels zu verbessern, d. h. die Therapiemöglich-' keiten mit diesem Antiinfektivum zu verbessern.
Diese der Neuerung zugrundeliegende Aufgabe wird dadurch
gelöst, daß der Wirkstoff Polyhexanid in eine Trägersubstanz eingearbeitet ist, die nicht als wäßrige Lösung vorliegt, sondern die eine wesentlich höhere Viskosität als Wasser aufweist, d. h. also, die die bei Salben, Crems usw. übliche Zügigkeit besitzt.

Durch die Anwendung dieser Aggregatform des Antiseptikums werden die bisher bekannten Nachteile beim Einsatz von Polyhexanid vermieden.
Das neue Antiseptikum kann in Form eines Hydrogel, eines Gels, einer Salbe oder einer Creme vorliegen und ist dadurch an den jeweiligen Einsatzfall bestens anpaßbar.

    Schutzansprüche:
    1. Bakterizides und fungizides Antiseptikum zur lokalen Anwendung bei Wunden, dessen antiinfektiver Wirkstoff durch Polyhexanid gebildet wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Wirkstoff Poly
    hexanid in eine Trägersubstanz eingearbeitet ist, die eine wesentlich höhere Viskosität als Wasser aufweist.
    2. Antiseptikum nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Antiseptikum als Hydrogel, Gel, Salbe oder Creme vorliegt.
