Das Wesen dieser Erfindung besteht in einer Einrichtung an Wagenthür-S chliefsvorrichtungen, wodurch eine rasche und sichere Art des Oeffnens und Schliefsens der Thür sowohl von der Innen-, als auch von der Aufsenseite des Wagens aus erzielt wird und bei welcher man leicht sehen kann, ob die Thür sicher geschlossen ist oder nicht.The essence of this invention consists in a device on car door locking devices, whereby a quick and safe way of opening and closing the door from both the inside and the as well as from the outside of the car and which is easy to see whether the door is securely closed or not.

Fig. ι zeigt die Stellung der Schliefsvorrichtung bei offener, Fig. 2 bei geschlossener Thür; Fig. 3 zeigt eine Endansicht des Verschlusses bei geschlossener Thür. Beim Schliefsen der Thür stöfst der an dem Gestelle des Wagens befestigte Greifer D gegen den Sperrstift oder Zuhalter E und, indem er denselben von dem Punkte unter dem Kamme C zurückdrückt, wird ein Niedersinken der Hebelhandhabe und ein Anpressen derselben gegen den Greifer D, wie in Fig. 2 gezeigt, ermöglicht, so dafs die Thür fest geschlossen wird. Um die Thür zu öffnen, wird die Hebelhandhabe H gehoben; dieselbe nimmt den Kamm C mit, der sich um den Punkt K dreht. Dadurch wird der Sperrstift oder Zuhalter E, der sich um den Punkt M dreht, so nach vorne gebracht, dafs der Theil E unter den Kamm C zu liegen kommt und den Handhebel H nach aufwärts hält, wie in Fig. 1 gezeigt, bis er wieder von dem Greifer D zurückgeworfen wird. An dem Kamme C und dem Zuhalter E sind, wie gezeigt, Spiralfedern angebracht, um eine raschere Wirkung dieser Theile zu sichern. Der Handhebel wird so lange unter rechtem Winkel' zur Thür hinausstehen, bis die Thür fest geschlossen ist und dadurch wird ein sicheres Mittel an die Hand gegeben, von aufsen das Offensein der Thür zu entdecken. An dem Handhebel ist eine Stange 0 und Hebel / und q befestigt, welche in Fig. 4 und 5 angedeutet sind. Der Hebel / befindet sich an der Aufsenseite des Wagens und der Hebel q an der Innenseite. Beide Hebel sind an demselben Drehpunkte r befestigt und jeder ist an einem Ende einer in einem Lager ί frei beweglichen Spindel festgemacht, welches Lager durch das Holzwerk der Wagenthür hindurch geht. Durch das Niederdrücken des Hebels q wird die Stange ο gehoben und dadurch der Handhebel H in die in Fig. 1 gezeigte Lage gebracht und die Thür geöffnet. f und q zeigen die Stellungen der Hebel, wenn die Thüre geschlossen ist. /' und q^l die Stellungen der Hebel, wenn die Thüre unverschlossen ist. An einem geeigneten Orte an der Innenseite der Thüre wird ein Zeiger oder Index mit den Worten »Thür geschlossen«, »Thür offen« oder mit anderen entsprechenden Worten angebracht , auf welche der Hebel q abwechselnd zeigt, so dafs mit einem Blick von innen gesehen werden kann, ob die Thür sicher geschlossen ist oder nicht. Die Hebel werden deshalb so hoch an der Thüre angebracht, damit Kinder nicht dazu gelangen können und auf diese Weise ein Mittel geschaffen, um beim Oeffnen der Thür von Innen aus die Nothwendigkeit des-Oeffnens und Schliefsens der Fenster zu vermeiden.
