The invention relates to a safety device for closures of windows and other items.

There are already safety devices known in which in the path of the movable Closing lever a resilient bolt is arranged such that only after it has been pushed back a passage of the locking lever and thereby an opening of the lock ίο is possible.

It is also known to use vertically movable locking bolts to secure locks.

The subject matter of the invention differs from these known safety devices in that behind a locking bar rotatably suspended above the locking lever one or more push rods are arranged, the ones provided at the ends Approaches or cross pieces in the rest position block the movement of the locking bar while in the advanced position by engaging in corresponding recesses in the locking bar release this for the purpose of unlocking the lock.
