Abstract

It is known to pack stacks with shrink foil in the form of a hood which is manually drawn over the stack at one work station, and then which at a second work station is exposed to the influence of heat so that it shrinks around the stack. The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus whereby the covering and the shrinking are effected at one station and in a fully automatic manner, in that a foil is fed from a supply roll (4) from above and down to a shrink frame (1) which is vertically movable, and which with its downwards movement is used to draw the hood down after cutting-off and spreading, and which during its movement upwards carries out the shrinking.

Claims (10)

Verfahren und Vorrichtung zum Verpacken von gestapelten Gütern mit Schrumpffolie Patentansprüche:Method and device for packaging stacked goods with shrink film Patent claims: 1. Verfahren zum Verpacken von gestapelten Gütern mit einer unter Hitzeeinwirkung schrumpfenden Schrumpffolie, bei dem ein Stapel (3) mit der Folie umgeben und danach mit Hilfe eines Schrumpfrahmens (1) erhitzt wird, wobei der Rahmen so angeordnet ist, daß er sich um den Stapel (3) herum auf- und abbewegt, dadurch gekennzeichnet , daß die Folie die Form eines Schlauches, oder eines Schlauches mit abstandsgleichen, querverlaufenden Perforationen bzw. Schwachstellen oder querverlaufenden Schweißnähten, gegebenenfalls mit beidem, aufweist und von einer Vorratsrolle (4) dem Schrumpfrahmen (1) von oben zugeführt wird; daß das freie Ende des Schlauches an dem Schrumpfrahmen (1) befestigt sowie abgeschnitten oder der Länge nach abgerissen wird und während der Abwärtsbewegung des Schrumpfrahmens (1) über den Stapel (3) gezogen wird (oder umgekehrt), und daß die Schrumpfung während der darauffolgenden Aufwärtsbewegung des Rahmens (1) eingeleitet wird.1. Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens nach einem oder mehreren der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, mit einer Säule (2), an der ein vertikal beweglicher, im wesentlichen rechteckiger Schrumpfrahmen (1) befestigt ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß an der Säule eine Vorratsrolle (4) mit schlauchförmiger Schrumpffolie angebracht ist, die im zusammengefalteten Zustand an jeder Seite eine Doppelfalte, d.h. an jeder Seite eine nach innen gebogene Kante und zwei nach außen weisende Kanten aufweist; daß Einrichtungen für die Zufuhr der Folie von oben nach unten in Richtung auf den Schrumpfrahmen vorgesehen sind; daß an dem Schrumpfrahmen (1) zwei sich gegenüberliegende, horizontale Saugkasten (7, 8) angeordnet sind, die aufeinander zu und voneinander weg bewegt werden können, um den platten Schlauch vorzuspreizen; daß an jedem Ende der Saugkästen (7, 8), in der horizontalen Ebene gesehen, ein Greifer (13, 14, 15, 16) vorgesehen ist, wobei die Greifer so angeordnet sind, daß sie den Schlauch an den vier nach außen weisenden Kanten während des Vorspreizens festhalten, d.h. durch Festklemmen an der Außenseite dieser Kanten, und daß an den oben genannten Greifern (13, 14, 15, 16) zum Vorspreizen ein zweiter Satz Greifer (&Ggr;8, 19, 20, 21) an den Saugkästen (7, 8) befestigt ist, wobei dieser zweite Satz Greifer so angeordnet ist, daß sie nach oben in eine vertikale Lage innerhalb des Schlauches schwenken.5.
