Den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildet eine Vorrichtung zum Erwärmen von Siegelmasse mit beheiztem Auslaßkanal, die sich von den seither bekannt gewordenen, dem gleichen Zwecke dienenden Vorrichtungen durch einfache Bauart und leichte Handhabung auszeichnet. Das Schmelzgefäß a, welches beliebige Gestalt und Größe erhalten kann und einen Handgriff b trägt, besitzt zwei Kammern c und d, von denen die obere, c, zur Aufnahme der Siegelmasse, die untere, d, zur Aufnahme einer Heizquelle i dient. Die Kammer c ist mit einem tüllenartigen Auslaßkanal e für den geschmolzenen Siegellack ausgerüstet. Dieser Auslaßkanal wird von den von der Heizquelle i erzeugten Heizgasen bestrichen. Die Heizgase beheizen zunächst den Boden der Kammer c und streichen alsdann durch einen sich von der Heizkammer d abzweigenden Kanal f längs der unteren Seite des Auslaßkanals β entlang und beheizen auch letzteren derart, daß die in dem Auslaßkanal befindliche Siegelmasse stets leichtflüssig erhalten und ein Zusetzen der Mündung des Auslaßkanals durch erstarrte Siegelmasse verhindert wird. Der Kanal f ist an seinem vorderen Ende offen, so daß die Heizgase hier entweichen können, also auch die Mündung des Auslaßkanals bestreichen. Um zu verhindern, daß beim Siegeln die ausfließende Siegelmasse in den Kanal f läuft und diesen verunreinigt oder gar zusetzt, ist an der Mündung des Auslaßkanals e ein Tropfschild g angeordnet, welches die Mündung des Kanals f überragt. Abtropfende Siegelmasse wird durch das Tropfschild g gezwungen, an diesem entlang zu fließen, ohne mit dem Kanal / und dessen Mündung in Berührung zu kommen. Die Kammer c, welche im oberen Ende mit einer Einfüllöffnung für die Siegelmasse versehen ist, kann durch einen Abschlußdeckel h, eine Klappe, Haube o. dgl. abgedeckt sein.The melting vessel a, which can be of any shape and size and has a handle b , has two chambers c and d, of which the upper one, c, is used to hold the sealing compound, the lower, d, is used to hold a heating source i .
