Claims (10)
1. Integrierte optische Einrichtung, umfassend ein dünnes ebenes Substrat aus transparentem dielektrischen
Material, in das integral ein Stufengitter eingeformt ist, und Mittel zur Bestrahlung des Stufengitters mit einer
elektromagnetischen Strahlung innerhalb einer gegebenen Bandbreite, um die Strahlung in Komponenten unterschiedlicher
Wellenlängen zu zerlegen, die im Winkel zueinander derart dispergiert sind, daß in einem vorbestimmten Abstand vom
Stufengitter die Komponenten räumlich getrennt sind, um eine
individuelle Kopplung und eine nachfolgende Benutzung zu ermöglichen.
2. Integrierte optische Einrichtung nach Anspruch 1,
bei welcher das Stufengitter senkrecht zur Hauptebene des Substrats orientiert ist.
3. Integrierte optische Einrichtung nach Anspruch 2, bei welcher das Stufengitter reflektierend ist.
4. Integrierte optische Einrichtung nach Anspruch 3, bei welcher das reflektierende Stufengitter gekrümmt ist,
um ihm Fokussierungseigenschaften zu verleihen.
5. Integrierte optische Einrichtung nach Anspruch 4, bei welcher das reflektierende Stufengitter in Form eines
Kreises gekrümmt ist.
6. Integrierte optische Einrichtung nach Anspruch 1, bei welcher das Stufengitter durchlässig ist.
7. Integrierte optische Einrichtung nach Anspruch 1, bei welcher diese Einrichtung unter Benutzung photolithographischer
Techniken und unter Benutzung von Ätztechniken hergestellt ist.
8. Integrierte optische Einrichtung nach Anspruch 1, bei welcher die Mittel zur Bestrahlung des Stufengitters
umfassen:
a) wenigstens einen Wellenleiter, der integral in der Einrichtung ausgebildet und so strukturiert ist, daß
die gegebene Bandbreite elektromagnetischer Strahlung fortgeleitet wird, und
b) wenigstens einen Linsenbereich, der integral innerhalb der Einrichtung zwischen dem Wellenleiter und
dem Stufengitter ausgebildet ist, um Strahlung von dem Wellenleiter aufzunehmen und diese auf das Stufengitter
&ngr; zu richten.
9. Integrierte optische Einrichtung nach Anspruch 1, bei welcher das Stufengitter durchlässig ist.
10. Integrierte optische Einrichtung nach Anspruch 1, bei welcher die Einrichtung unter Benutzung photolithographischer
Techniken und unter Benutzung von Ätztechniken hergestellt ist.
