Den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildet eine Waschmaschine für Rüben, Kartoffeln u. dgl., bei welcher die Reinigungsbürsten mittels eines Parallelkurbelgetriebes derart durch den Waschtrog hindurchgeführt werden, daß sie stets parallel zueinander bleiben, die Früchte anheben, reinigen und in den Trog zurückfallen lassen, wobei das Exzenter des Kurbelgetriebes verstellbar angeordnet ist. Man kann nun während des Umlaufs der Bürsten das Exzenter verstellen, und wenn diese Verstellung mit annähernd der gleichen Geschwindigkeit erfolgt, wie die Drehung der Bürstenachse, so machen die Bürsten eine solche Bewegung, daß sie an der Trogwand hinstreichend die Kartoffeln über den Trogrand heben und damit den Trog entleeren.
