Einbrennen von Emailgrund und Bild.Burning in of the enamel base and picture.
Glass objects are usually decorated by adding a layer of enamel and over it the pattern is applied by means of a decal and the object is fired again or by the fact that the enamel and picture are connected to the object to be decorated in one fire. Included the image is fixed by the melting enamel, so this method is used in the case of objects with lower melting points than the enamel layer are not applicable. It has now succeeded with the help of a flux To fix pictures on glass surfaces without it being necessary to melt the enamel applied together with the picture bring to.
On a collodion membrane, which is lined with paper in a known manner and can be peeled off, a flux that melts at a low temperature, approximately at 300 to 350 °, is first printed and this layer is dusted with enamel powder. The image or writing is then printed on the latter layer. The enamel layer must be rubbed off with sebum before printing so that it does not hold any ink in the areas that are not to be printed. The printing is done by printing the binding agent and powdering the colors over it. If several colors are to be printed, they are printed one after the other in the manner mentioned after the previous print has completely dried. The skin texture prepared in this way is now placed with the collodion side on the surface to be decorated. If the object is now heated until the river melts, the melting flux bonds the non-melting enamel and the print completely firmly to the glass without the parts of the image floating. The river therefore only serves as an adhesive for the opaque background of the picture. The melting temperature of the river can approach the softening temperature of the glass, as the solidification occurs very soon. You can with a at 350 ° C. softening bottle glasses z. B. use a flow which melts at 320 to 350 °, while the enamel, if you z. B. the ceramic lead glaze used as such, has a melting point of 950 to 1000 0 . The decoration has a matt, paper-like surface. If you want it to be shiny, you have to print a layer of flux over the image layer when creating the complexion. The decoration then looks like it has been painted. This layer contributes little or nothing to the fixing of the picture.
Papier jetzt außen befindet, ver-When pressing or blowing glass objects, the appearance of the skin may coincide with the image side placed in the mold and the paper peeled off before inserting the glass, or the decal will be in a difficult to access form without the paper layer beforehand remove it, glue it to the mold wall and then insert the glass. There the. paper is now on the outside,
brennt es anstandslos. In diesem Falle muß natürlich das Bild als Spiegelbild gedruckt werden.it burns without hesitation. In this case, of course, the image must be printed as a mirror image will.
The royal glaze can be used as an enamel Porcelain factory in Berlin, as a river a product of Wen ge in Detroit (Engl.) to serve.
