Abstract

Description

This description includes the construction of a grill, the "mini fire plate". Completely assembled from individual parts without tools, food can be grilled on a fire plate (grill plate). The grill is operated using a camping gas bottle or similar.

Structure: The construction consists of several individual parts and is assembled without tools. It consists of six side panels (1), the ventilation grate (2), a grease tray (3), three support strips (4), the round gas pipe (5), the gas hose with pressure reducer (6), the fire plate (7), and an additional wok attachment (8), and is operated using a camping gas cartridge (9), which is connected by the user.

• • (1) Seitenbleche: Die Seitenbleche bestehen aus Edelstahlblech und werden mittels Zapfen ineinandergesteckt, so dass ein geschlossenes Sechseck entsteht. (Diese Form ist der Feuertonne nachempfunden).
• • (2) Belüftungsrost: Dieses Bauteil wird im unteren Bereich des geschlossenen Sechsecks eingelegt und arretiert sich auf Zapfen, die an den Seitenblechen angebracht sind. Es dient zur Aussteifung des Sechseck Grundgerüstes und besitzt Belüftungsöffnungen für das später eingelegte Gasrohr.
• • (3) Fettschale: Die Fettschale bezeichnet eine flache Edelstahl Schüssel, die auf den Belüftungsrost gelegt wird, um so herunter tropfendes Fett von der Feuerplatte aufzufangen.
• • (4) Auflageleisten: Drei Edelstahl Leisten werden im gleichen Abstand an den oberen Rand des Sechsecks in vorgesehene Kerben eingesetzt. Sie besitzen Nasen an der Außenseite, welche die Feuerplatte zentrisch positioniert und gegen Herunterfallen sichert. Außerdem besitzen sie Laschen an der Innenseite, in welche das Gasrohr montiert wird.
• • (5) Gasrohr: Das rund gebogene Gasrohr wird in die Laschen der Auflageleisten in den oberen Rand des Sechsecks gehängt. Eine Öffnung des Rohres ist verschlossen, die andere Öffnung ragt aus dem Grill.
• • (6) Gasschlauch mit Druckminderer: Der Gasschlauch verbindet die Campinggaskartusche mit dem Gasrohr. Er besitzt einen fest montierten Druckminderer mit Einstellrad.
• • (7) Feuerplatte: Eine Edelstahl Grillplatte auf der das Grillgut gegrillt wird. Sie wird auf die drei Auflageleisten gesetzt und wölbt sich materialbedingt beim ersten Erhitzen, so dass Fett und Grillsäfte durch das mittige Loch fließen und sich in der Fettschale sammeln.
• • (8) Wokaufsatz: Bezeichnet ein gelasertes Rohrstück, welches in das Innenloch der Feuerplatte gesteckt wird und verhindert, das Grillgut durch das Loch in die Flammen rutscht.
• • (9) Campinggasflasche: Die Propan/Butan- Gaskartusche o.ä. wird vom Anwender/Kunden am Druckminderer des Gasschlauches per Schraubverschluss angeschlossen.

The individual components of the grill are explained below:

• • (1) Side panels: The side panels are made of stainless steel and are inserted into one another using tenons to form a closed hexagon. (This shape is based on the fire barrel).
• • (2) Ventilation grille: This component is inserted in the lower part of the closed hexagon and locks onto pins that are attached to the side panels. It serves to stiffen the hexagonal basic structure and has ventilation openings for the gas pipe that will be inserted later.
• • (3) Grease tray: The grease tray is a flat stainless steel bowl that is placed on the ventilation grate to catch any dripping fat from the fire plate.
• • (4) Support strips: Three stainless steel strips are inserted into the notches provided at the same distance from each other on the upper edge of the hexagon. They have lugs on the outside which position the fire plate centrally and prevent it from falling down. They also have tabs on the inside into which the gas pipe is mounted.
• • (5) Gas pipe: The rounded gas pipe is hung in the tabs of the support strips in the upper edge of the hexagon. One opening of the pipe is closed, the other opening protrudes from the grill.
• • (6) Gas hose with pressure reducer: The gas hose connects the camping gas cartridge to the gas pipe. It has a permanently mounted pressure reducer with an adjustment wheel.
• • (7) Fire plate: A stainless steel grill plate on which the food is grilled. It is placed on the three support bars and, due to the material, bulges when heated for the first time, so that fat and grill juices flow through the central hole and collect in the fat tray.
• • (8) Wok attachment: Refers to a lasered piece of pipe which is inserted into the inner hole of the fire plate and prevents the grilled food from slipping through the hole into the flames.
• • (9) Camping gas bottle: The propane/butane gas cartridge or similar is connected by the user/customer to the pressure reducer of the gas hose using a screw cap.

Functional description: The gas grill can be easily transported in disassembled form, in individual parts, and is put together and assembled at the site without the use of tools. The side panels are put together, the ventilation grate is placed on the pins of the side panels in a hexagon and the fat tray is placed on top. The support rails are then mounted and the gas pipe is placed in their tabs. The gas hose is now connected to the gas pipe on one side and to the gas cartridge on the pressure reducer side. Finally, the fire plate is placed on top, which is centered on the noses of the support rails, and the wok attachment is inserted.

When starting up, the pressure reducer adjustment wheel is slowly opened and the escaping gas is ignited at the gas pipe using a long match or similar. The fire plate now curves centrally in one direction, which is desired and allows oils to flow away when grilling.
