Nach erfolgtem Anschluss wird die Wasserzufuhr geöffnet und der Rasenroboter in Gang gesetzt. Um die Länge des mitzuführenden Gartenschlauches zu minimieren, erfolgt eine gesonderte Programmierung des Routenprofils, welches vom Routenprofil des Mäh-Modus abweichen kann bzw. davon abgeleitet werden kann.
