Situation:

There are well-known crown corks. These crown corks are produced more than a trillion times a year. In this mass product, two substances are installed. On the one hand tinplate, on the other plastic.

There are already efforts to reduce the weight of a crown cork. This weight reduction is achieved in cases applied by the weight reduction of the seal associated with the crown cap. In this case, only the punching unit must be modified, otherwise the production can take place as usual in existing process chains.

Description:

According to the invention we have developed this as a solution, the weight-reduced crown cork through cutouts on the blank edge. The crown cork described in the following is intended to reduce the material costs through the achieved weight reduction, but at the same time to protect raw materials.

Not only the reduction of the material conserves resources, because this effect increases in the recycling process. While the tinplate of already used crown corks must be thermally separated from the previously thermally bonded seal, the tinplate which has not been used in the production at all is directly traceable back into the raw material cycle.

This application relates to a modification to a conventional crown cork in the form of a reduction of the material used to save raw materials in the production. In particular, the improvement described here relates to the reduction of the tinplate.

The material reduction is achieved by cutouts on the edge of the blank, which does not change the functionality, the tightness, the capping process of the bottler or the DIN standard.

An exemplary execution of a crown cork blank is in 1 it becomes clear that the outer diameter of the blank continues to be the DIN 6099 equivalent.

Use:

Claims (6)

Weight-reduced crown cork, characterized in that the edge of the Kronenkorkenrohlings is wavy, triangular, square, oval or otherwise material- reducing punched out.
