Claims (4)

KAISERLICHES PATENTAMT. Auf beiliegender Zeichnung ist Fig. 1 die vordere Ansicht, Fig. 2 der Querschnitt und Fig. 3 ein Horizontalschnitt des rotirenden Schiebers. Es bezeichnet A den Cylinder, B das Schiebergehäuse und C den rotirenden konischen Schieber. Communiciren die Kanäle d1f durch die Kanäle ff1 mit dem Kanal c im Gehäuse, so saugt der Kolben bei seinem Vorgehen Luft und Gas ein; diese Stoffe werden, da sie die engen Löcher und den Raum im Konus zickzackförmig passiren müssen, innig gemischt. Hat der Kolben, je nach der nöthigen Kraftleistung, einen Weg von 0,2 bis 0,4 des ganzen Hubes zurückgelegt, so tritt der Kanal b mit den Kanälen c c in Verbindung, und es erfolgt die Explosion. Das durch den Kanal d11 in den Kanal b tretende Gas entzündet sich nämlich an der ständigen Flamme bei a, während durch den unteren Schlitz im Schiebergehäuse (in Fig. 2 punktirt sichtbar) die nöthige Luft zutritt. Ist der Kolben durch die Explosion ganz vorgetrieben, so tritt einer der Kanäle g/g/ im Konus mit dem Kanal g im Gehäuse in Verbindung, und es erfolgt nun bei dem durch die lebendige Kraft des Schwungrades bewirkten Rücklauf des Kolbens das Ausblasen der verbrannten Gase. Hat die Kurbel den hinteren todten Punkt überschritten, so beginnt das Saugen etc. von neuem. Die Bewegung des Konus erfolgt durch zwei konische Räder, die von der Kurbelachse aus eine nach hinten führende Welle in Bewegung setzen, und durch zwei Stirnräder von der Uebersetzung 1 : 2 oder 1 : 4. Diese Uebersetznng ist gewählt, damit der Konus möglichst langsam laufe, um so Reibung und Abnutzung auf die Hälfte bezw. ein Viertel zu reduciren; bei vierfacher Umsetzung müssen natürlich die verschiedenen Kanäle im Konus noch einmal, und zwar senkrecht zu den schon vorhandenen angebracht werden.
