Description
The invention relates to a connector for a ring corrugated outer conductor having coaxial cable, with a Plug head, which has a recess with an annular surface, which in the amount of an extension of the outer cable of a wave trough towards a wave crest the front edge area of the cable outer conductor inside clocked, and enclose the outer cable with one the contact sleeve clamped against the plug head, the by axial from its plug end Slots are divided into radially resilient segments that join their free ends have thickenings, which in the assembled Condition in the first complete wave trough of the cable lie outer conductor and the plug over the contact sleeve protruding end area of the outer cable against the Clamp the ring surface in the recess of the plug head.
Such a connector is from DE 27 24 862 C2 known. The contact sleeve is also a banjo bolt educated. Such connectors are common delivered completely pre-assembled at the factory, u. a. to si make sure that the items during storage and not be damaged during transport. For mounting on the The connector must be dismantled again at the end of the coaxial cable become. On the over a predetermined length of his Ka outer conductor, if necessary, first an O-ring to seal against intrusion pulled up by water; then the contact sleeve over the Outer conductor pushed until the thickening on the free Complete the ends of the segments of the contact sleeve in the first only wave trough of the cable outer conductor come to rest. Then the plug head is attached and the one with the Contact sleeve one-piece banjo screw inserted into the former turns until it protrudes beyond the contact sleeve End area of the cable outer conductor is sufficiently firm between the ring surface in the recess of the plug head and the corresponding counter surfaces of the thickening on the free ends of the contact sleeve is clamped. This clamping ensures both reliable contacting and Interception of the cable. (The Her not interested here Position of the inner conductor connection was from simplification not described). The assembly of the plug Disassembly of the former on the cable is disadvantageous for several reasons. In particular parts can fall out, get lost or be exchanged become. It is also time to manipulate multiple parts elaborate and troublesome, especially on sometimes exposed days located. As a result, there is also a certain residual risk that there are assembly errors. Another disadvantage of this Connector is that when screwing in the Kon tact sleeve in the plug head the thickening on the free Ends of the segments of the contact sleeve inevitably on the Outside surface contacting and to be clamped realm of the cable outer conductor, which often comes from a relatively soft copper alloy, so that it is in order material squeeze can occur in the either corresponding bending of the segments of the Kon clock sleeve or by an increase in Pretend that the torque is already a safe one Clamping and thus contacting is achieved, which is true is not yet the case.
Zwar läßt sich mit diesem Steckverbinder eine bessere Kontaktierung des Kabelaußenleiters als mit dem Steckverbinder der einleitend angegebenen Gattung erzielen, jedoch hat ersterer montagetechnisch die gleichen Nachteile wie letzerer.DE 43 09 775 A1 is a connector for one Coaxial cable cables having a corrugated outer conductor are known, the one plug head with a recess for receiving and Contacting the outer cable includes. This is for this purpose enclosed by a contact sleeve which over a Pressure ring and a hollow nut clamped with the plug head becomes. A better connector can be used with this connector Contacting the outer cable than with the Achieve connectors of the type specified in the introduction, however, the former has the same disadvantages in terms of assembly technology like the latter.
The invention has for its object a Steckver to create a binder of the type indicated in the introduction, the easy, quick and reliable mounting on the cable ren leaves.
This object is achieved in that the Recess an inner diameter at least equal to that Outside diameter of the contact sleeve in the area of the thickener at the free ends of the segments plus about that Has twice the corrugation height of the outer cable conductor, and that a hollow screw enclosing the contact sleeve the covering of a tension path by turning into the Recess of the plug head the thickening of the contact surrounds the sleeve in a form-fitting manner and loaded in the clamping direction.
This construction of the connector makes this unnecessary Disassemble before assembly, because the connector can now are delivered pre-assembled so that it is only on the prepared as usual prepared cable end up to the stop must be pushed. Then the fitter only needs that Screw the banjo bolt into the plug head until a written tightening torque is reached, which indicates that the desired clamping of the outer conductor has occurred is. The only part that may need to be handled separately is the same as for the connector according to the state of the Technology as the first O- to be drawn onto the cable outer conductor Ring. However, this can also be dispensed with if for sealing a liquid, e.g. B. via a radial bore sealing material injected into the banjo bolt is applied or the seal between the connector and the cable by means of a shrink tube becomes. If the Stec kerkopf is held, the proposed conn binder compared to that according to the prior art further advantage that the contacting surfaces are not be rotated against each other because the banjo bolt Contact sleeve only moves in the axial direction.
To ensure that the contact sleeve when mounting the The correct position on the cable takes, it is useful if the thickening of the free ends of the segments of the contact sleeve each one a conical surface for the Front edge of the cable outer conductor and the cone angle is selected so that the segments are exceeded one from the front edge of the outer cable radially spring up the thrust surfaces (Claim 2). This ensures that the front edge of the Outer cable when pushing on the connector the cable end the contact sleeve in a defined position pushes in the thickening at the free ends the segments of the contact sleeve essentially in the amount of Ring surface are in the recess of the plug head. The Defined position can in particular by an axia len displacement of the contact sleeve limiting stop be determined. For example, the contact sleeve can be attached to its cable term end a circumferential area with enlarged outside have a knife in the pre-assembled position with a inner collar in the banjo bolt cooperates.
It is particularly useful if the connector is a Has device that in the span of the banjo bolt divided into two sections, the first of which precedes one assembled state of the connector and the second thereof Final assembly on the cable end corresponds (claim 3). Of the Fitter can then use the pre-assembled connector if necessary for any reason, before mounting on the Disassemble the cable and then back into the pre-assembled one Bring condition.
This device, which characterizes the pre-assembly state, can from a marking of the position of the banjo bolt at the end of the first section (claim 4).
The device can also be designed so that the for screwing in the hollow screw in the recess of the plug torque required at the end of the first Section noticeably increased (claim 5).
In particular, the device from one between the Connector head and banjo bolt at the end of the first Ab cut O-ring exist (claim 6).
Zusätzlich oder alternativ kann die Einrichtung aus einer am Ende des ersten Spannwegabschnittes befindlichen Material verformung zwischen den relativ zueinander verschiebbaren Teilen bestehen (Anspruch 7).Additionally or alternatively, the device can be made from a Material located at the end of the first span section deformation between the relatively displaceable Share exist (claim 7).
The contact sleeve is expediently captive in the hollow held screw (claim 8). For this purpose, e.g. B. the largest outer diameter of the contact sleeve in the amount of Ver Thickening at the free ends of the segments and the width the slots between the segments so aligned be true that the thickenings are sufficient radially allow to squeeze far enough to insert the contact sleeve into the Insert the banjo bolt from its cable end can and the thickening under the inside mentioned above let the collar of the banjo bolt slide through.
To transmit the axial thrust of the banjo bolt to the The thickening at the free ends of the contact sleeve Segments of the contact sleeve on the cable side an annular shoulder ha ben, which cooperates with an inner collar of the banjo bolt (Claim 9).
The invention is further based on the object simple and reliable method of assembling a Connector on a coaxial cable with a corrugated ring To create phase conductors.
This task is for a generic connector solved according to the invention in that first the Steckver binder is pre-assembled so that a clamping surface of the con clock sleeve itself at a predetermined distance from the clamp surface in the recess of the plug head is that now this pre-assembled connector as far as it will go Cable end is pushed so that the protruding end area of the cable outer conductor, with radial expansion of the free Ends of the segments of the contact sleeve, between the clamp surfaces of the recess and the contact sleeve comes to rest, and that then the contact sleeve and the plug head by means be screwed together with a banjo bolt.
Es zeigt:In the drawing, an embodiment of the Steckver binders according to the invention in longitudinal section and the steps its assembly on the end of a coaxial cable schematically shown in simplified form. The connector shown in FIG. 1 in the pre-assembly state, that is to say as it is supplied by the manufacturer, comprises a connector head 5 in which a connector inner conductor 60 is held via an insulating washer 70 . The plug head 5 carries an unspecified screw cap. At its cable end, the plug head 5 has a recess 51 which is delimited by a conical ring surface 52 . In the recess 51 there is a contact sleeve 6 which is divided into resilient segments 62 by axial slots 61 extending from its plug-side end, which have thickenings 63 at their free ends. The contact sleeve 6 is in the pre-assembled state in a hollow screw 7 freely displaceable, the external thread engages in an internal thread in the wall of the recess 51 of the plug head. The banjo bolt 7 carries an O-ring 8 , which ensures the sealing of the recess 51 when the banjo bolt is screwed into the plug head. In addition, a sealing ring 9 can belong to the connector.
Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, the connector of a coaxial cable seated on the appropriately made-up end, but has not yet reached its final position. As usual, the coaxial cable comprises an inner conductor 1 , a cable dielectric 2 , a ring-corrugated outer conductor 3 and a cable jacket 4 . Previously, the sealing ring 9 was pulled onto the outer conductor 3 so far that it comes to rest in the first free wave trough following the cable jacket 4 . The sealing ring 9 seals the gap between the cable outer conductor 3 and the inner surface of the hollow screw 7 . The same can be done in other ways, e.g. B. by after injecting an elastic sealant into the annular gap and / or the space that the sealing ring occupies 9 , achieve.
In the position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the hollow screw 7 is screwed into the plug head 5 only up to about half the length of its external thread. This Stel development of the hollow screw 7 relative to the plug head 5 is defined by a mark in the form of a flat annular groove 71 . In the annular groove 71 there could be a small O-ring, so that the torque required to screw the hollow screw 7 further into the plug head 5 would increase somewhat. The marking 71 thus divides the screw-in length of the hollow screw 7 into two sections. The length of the second section is designated by L. The marking can also consist of a color ring, a small material deformation either on the plug head or on the banjo bolt, as well as any other device, instead of the drawn ring groove, which ensures that the pre-assembly shown at any point between the plug head 5 and the banjo bolt 7 condition of the connector manufactures and is complied with.
In the preassembly state, the contact sleeve 6 is initially freely displaceable in the banjo bolt 7 (see FIG. 1), but is inevitably brought into the position shown after the connector has been placed on the cable end ( FIG. 2). As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 illustrate, namely, is the end edge 31 of the cable outer conductor 3 in the amount of an expan sion of the latter by a wave trough in the direction of a wave crest and first runs against a run-on surface 63 a to the inside of the thickened portions 63 at the ends of Segments 62 of the contact sleeve 6 . This run-up surface 63 a is part of a circumferential conical surface which at the same time limits the protruding profile of the thickenings, which is adapted approximately to the corrugated profile of the cable outer conductor 3 . Thus, when initially located in any position other than the position shown when placing the connector on the cable end of the contact sleeve 6, the end edge provides 31 of the cable outer conductor in connection with the abutting surface 63 a ensure that the contact sleeve is entrained 6 until it reaches the position shown has reached. Fig. 3 further shows that each of the thickenings 63 on the inside has a conical surface 63 b opposite to the running surface 63 a, which runs essentially parallel to the annular surface 52 of the plug head. On the outside, each thickening 63 is delimited by a cylindrical segment surface 63 c, which is followed by an annular shoulder 63 d in a radial plane. The latter two surfaces are intended to cooperate with the tubular front end 73 which adjoins an inner collar 72 of the hollow screw 7 , as will be explained below.
Fig. 5). Fig. 3) der Verdickungen 63. When pushing the connector further onto the cable end, as shown in Fig. 4, the segments 62 spring apart in the radial direction, so that the connector can now be pushed on as far as it will go. For this purpose, the recess 51 has a sufficiently large inner diameter. Then the segments 62 spring together again, so that the thickenings 63 now engage at their free ends in the first complete wave trough of the cable outer conductor 3 . At the same time, the area adjoining the end edge 31 of the cable outer conductor 3 rests on the ring surface 52 and is contacted on the inside thereof (see FIG. 5). Then the banjo bolt 7 is screwed into the fixed connector head 5 until it is in the position shown in FIG. 5. Meanwhile, the tubular front end 73 of the banjo bolt 7 prevents radial expansion of the segments 62 of the contact sleeve 6 , because the inner diameter of the tubular front end 73 is only slightly larger than the outer diameter of the contact sleeve at the level of the surfaces 63 c (see FIG. 3) the thickenings 63 . As soon as the ring surface of the inner collar 72 of the hollow screw 7 comes to rest against the ring shoulders 63 d of the thickened portions 63 , the contact sleeve 7 is pushed onto the ring surface 52 in the axial direction. The rotation of the hollow bolt 7 is then continued until a prescribed tightening torque is reached, that of indicating a safe contacting and clamping ring surface between the cone 52 and the approximately the same running surface 63 b clamped portion of the outer cable conductor. 3
