Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a floating textile plant island with a sufficient Root space for planting, preferably with repositioning plants, especially for Renaturation of water surfaces and protection of riparian zones is used. The raft-like plant island can be arranged anywhere on water surfaces and possibly also be changed in location. There are ideal possibilities for the application especially in the field of environmental protection, for example sewage and Rainwater purification, for the renaturation of dredging lakes as well as liquid manure recycling.
The islands designed for high dynamic loads are preferably made Floating modules manufactured, which can be completed in any number. Both So far known islands consist of the buoyant basic structures, for example triangular steel tubes, which at their end points by means of articulated Fasteners are connected. Such complex joint systems are required so that the rigid overall construction of this island can withstand the water movements and with it can adjust or compensate for the associated forces. Due to the complex manufacturing and the associated high costs can be designed in this way floating islands can only be used for selected areas of application.
The object of the invention is therefore a floating island with a large To create buoyancy and sufficient root space for plants growing in different dimensions can be produced economically and without large Assembly effort can be transported and used or exchanged.
The object is achieved by the features of the invention described in claim 1. Advantageous further developments are described in subclaims 2 to 8.
The main advantage of the plant island according to the invention is that the Plant island forming single or multi-surface textile structures in larger lengths prefabricated by machine and due to its mat-like flexible structure without problems can be transported and stored. Furthermore, due to the is sufficient existing root space the plants can be rooted outside of the place of use. Any enlargement or addition of the plant island on site can be done by simple connection of individual islands of different sizes with each other provided holding devices can be done without much effort. Because of the high The flexibility of the textile structure adapts to the movements of the plant island Water surface at any time without the need for additional force-absorbing elements are. This makes it possible to extend the scope of application to numerous areas of the Environmental protection.

In Fig. 1 a plant island is shown according to the invention, which consists of a single-surface textile structure 3, such as a woven fabric, knitted fabric, nonwoven fabric or the like. From buoyant fibrous materials, such as polypropylene, in which on the lower side to support the lift additional buoyancy means 1 in the form of, for example, hoses, tubes or the like, preferably made of polypropylene with a diameter of, for example, 14 cm, are arranged. The fabric 3 is preferably made of thick, compact and / or porous strand material, which consists of floatable fibrous material, for example polypropylene. By using this strand material, a voluminous, porous cross-sectional area is created, which forms a sufficient root space 4 for the plants 2 , preferably reduction plants. In order to increase the buoyancy of the plant island, further additional buoyancy means 1 can be sewn onto the textile structure, knitted or woven in, or fastened by suitable mechanical means, such as hooks, eyes or the like.
A further embodiment of the plant island according to the invention is shown in FIG. 2, in which the island consists of a multi-surface textile structure, preferably a spacer fabric made of polypropylene. The spacer fabric is formed by the outer fabric webs 5 and 6 , which are connected to each other by means of support threads 7 and kept at a distance. The fabric 5 located on the surface has a relatively open mesh structure in order to guarantee dense vegetation. The layer 8 between the knitted sheets 5 , 6 , in which the supporting threads 7 are arranged vertically, serves as the root space for the plants. The length and the number of supporting threads 7 within the layer 8 can be varied, so that the root space for the plants can be changed accordingly. Additional additional buoyancy bodies 1 can be attached to the inner surfaces and / or outer surfaces of the knitted sheets 5 , 6 . Instead of the spacer fabric, a staple fabric can also be used, with which a similar layer structure of the multi-surface textile structure is possible.
The plant island shown in FIG. 3 consists of a multi-surface textile structure which is composed of several single-surface textile structures 9 , 10 , 11 . For example, the upper layer 9 consists of an open-mesh structure and the lower layer 10 consists of a denser fabric structure. A strand-like mesh structure 11 is arranged in the longitudinal and / or transverse direction between the cover layer 9 and the lower layer 10 . This strand-like mesh structure 11 consists of a plurality of longitudinal rows of stitches 1 to 4 and wales which are arranged spirally on the circumference and which are formed from rigid, ribbon-shaped plastic material ( FIG. 4). The use of the stiff band material for the stitch formation creates an extremely thick and porous strand cross-section of the stitch structure, with which a sufficiently large root space between the top layer 9 and the bottom layer 10 is achieved. Additional buoyancy bodies 1 , which are connected to the mesh structure 11 or the cover layer 9 or underlayer 10 , can be introduced simultaneously between the mesh structure 11 . The open-mesh cover layer 9 favors plant growth on the island surface. The lower layer 10 is denser and stronger in its cross section, so that the plant roots penetrate the layer 10 only with difficulty. The impingement of the plant roots on the lower layer 10 advantageously results in increased root formation. The arrangement of the mesh structure 11 creates an extremely large island cross section which, despite its low mass, has a high strength. The attachment of additional buoyancy bodies 1 on the underside of the textile structure 10 of the island or on the inside of the outer surface structures 9 , 10 bring about an improved buoyancy of the island. For such multi-surface textile structures, any number of single-surface textile structures can be combined which have the same or different structure and structure.
For areas of application in which a particularly large cross-sectional area of the island is required, the structures shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 can be combined with one another without problems, without the ability to swim and the growth of the island being impaired.
Another area of application of the plant island according to the invention results from its use as a peninsula. Such an arrangement, as shown in FIG. 5, is particularly advantageous for water reservoirs with a smooth film, because then the peninsula can serve as a kind of life raft for animals. The surface section 13 of the textile structure forming the island and fastened above the steep slope preferably contains absorbent textile components 14 for this area of application, which guarantee the water supply to the plants outside the water surface.
