Kunststoffdichtung
Die Heuerung betrifft eine Kunststoffdichtung, insbesondere für rotierende Wellen und axial bewegliche Kolbenscliäfte. Sie besteht aus einem an sich bekannten Dichtungskörper, der armiert sein kann, und weist neben einer unter der Wirkung einer Wurmfeder stehenden Dichtlippe eine zweite, nicht gespannte ^ichtlippe auf.
Itfeuerungsgemäß besitzt die nicht unter der Spannwirkung einer Wurmfeder stehende Dichtlippe der Kunststoffdichtung eine ihre Radialausdehnung begrenzende Metallauflage, die aus einem mit geringer Vorspannung auf die Dichtung im radialen lusdehnungsbereich der Lippe aufgezogenen Begrenzungsring besteht, der durch eine lippenwulst des unteren Dichtungsteils gehalten wird.
Bei dem Verhalten des der Dichtung dienenden Kunststoffmaterials, insbesondere bei hohen Drücken und großer thermischer Belastung, wobei zu berücksichtigen ist, daß die Zeitdehnungsgrenzen der verschiedenen Kunststoffe unterschiedlich sind, hat sich gezeigt, daß der Außendurchmesser der Kunststoffdichtung im Bereich der nicht unter der Spannung einer Wurmfeder stehenden Lippe erheblich wächst und infolge des Spannungsverlustes diese Lippe in kurzer Zeit durch Undichtwerden ausfällt.
Durch die neuerungsgemäße Verwendung einer die Radialausdehnung der Lippe begrenzenden Metallauflage, die aus einem mit geringer Vorspannung auf die Dichtung im radialen Ausdehnungsbereich der Lippe aufgezogenen Begrenzungsring besteht, werden hohe Standzeiten der Kunststoffdichtung erreicht. Die Halterung des unter geringer Vorspannung aufgezogenen Begrenzungsringes erfolgt dabei durch eine Lippenwulst des unteren Dichtungsteils»
Die Zeichnung zeigt die Kunststoffdichtung in beispielsweiser Ausbildung. Der Dichtungskörper ist mit 1 bezeichnet, die nicht unter der Wirkung einer Wurmfeder stehende Dichtlippe mit 2 und der Begrenzungsring mit 3, der durch eine

Claims (1)

  1. Schutzanspruch;
    Iiunststoffdiciitung, insbesondere für rotierende Wellen und axial bewegliche Kolbensehäfte, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die nicht unter der Wirkung einer Wurmfeder stehende Dichtlippe (2) der Kunststoffdichtung (1) eine die Radialausdehnung der Lippe begrenzende Metallauflage besitzt, die aus einer mit geringer Vorspannung auf die Dichtung im radialen Ausdehnungsbereich der Lippe aufgezogenen Begrenzungsring (3) besteht, der durch eine Lippenwulst (4) des unteren Dichtungsteils gehalten wird.
