Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a mounting bracket for steering a motor vehicle with a divided by at least one pivot point steering spindle arrangement, which by a in a Interior of the motor vehicle mountable cockpit protrudes and by means of a lower Steering spindle part can be connected to a steering gear shaft.
Such steering is generally known for passenger cars. The steering spindle arrangement Such a steering system has an upper and a lower steering spindle part, which by means of a joint point are connected. The upper steering spindle part protrudes through Cockpit into the interior of the passenger car inside and inside of the passenger car with a steering wheel. The lower steering spindle part is on his lower end connected to a steering gear shaft.
To do this became the lower one PTO shaft from a position in which it was fixed, for example by a support, to Angular position pivoted in the connection of the facing ends of the two Cardan shaft parts can be manufactured.
The object of the invention is to provide a mounting bracket for steering the input to create the type mentioned, the simplified assembly of the Allows cockpits.
This object is achieved in that the lower Steering spindle part at least during the assembly of the cockpit a defined mounting position using a mounting bracket cockpit-fixed, the guide means for transferring the Steering spindle part in a connectable to the steering gear shaft Has operating position. This makes it possible for the while the assembly of the cockpit freely down from the cockpit to fix outstanding steering spindle parts and thereby the Assembly of the cockpit in the interior of the motor vehicle simplify. By holding the steering spindle part in one defined position after mounting the cockpit without larger adjustments in a simple manner the lower Steering spindle part with the vehicle-mounted Steering gear shaft are connected. Through the mounting bracket additionally also a defined position of the steering wheel on the upper steering spindle part reached, which makes it possible already when installing the cockpit, the steering wheel is in a straight ahead position and the steering set up.
In an embodiment of the invention, the mounting bracket is as U-shaped mounting bracket formed, the leg for the Recording and guiding a coupling flange of the Steering spindle part are provided. The mounting bracket provides one particularly easy to manufacture and use mounting bracket represents, which is a reliable with little effort Assembly aid results. By fixing the lower one Steering spindle part during assembly of the cockpit can lower steering spindle part do not swing freely and assembly hinder, but is fixed in a defined position.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the legs of the Mounting bracket with to the hinge point of the steering spindle assembly concentric curvature corresponding to a pivotable Coupling flange between the mounting position and the operating position bent. As a result, the mounting bracket guides the Coupling flange over its entire swivel path, creating a free swinging of the lower steering spindle part both during the Cockpit assembly as well as during the connection to the Steering gear shaft is prevented.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the free ends the leg is cockpit-proof by means of a detachable snap-in connection lockable. As a result, the mounting bracket is without the aid additional tools in a simple way with the cockpit connectable and detachable from this.
In a further embodiment of the invention, they face each other facing inner sides of the two legs of the mounting bracket a locking area for fixing the coupling flange in the assembly position of the steering spindle part. This will for fixing the steering spindle part in its assembly position tion no additional elements required. The locking area is rather in one piece on the inside of the two legs of the mounting bracket arranged.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the inside faces one of the two legs following the locking area Guide area for a twist-proof swivel guide of the Coupling flange in the operating position. This will make the lower steering spindle part with a defined steering wheel position its mounting position in the with the steering gear shaft connected operating position transferred.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the Distance between the inside of the legs in the guide area to the Operating position so far that a backlash of the Coupling flange during a transfer from the assembly to the Operating position except for almost complete freedom from play is reduced. In the operating position, the Coupling flange and thus also the steering spindle part held frictionally in the mounting bracket. Still, over the extension of the management area largely Low-friction pivoting of the coupling flange achieved.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the Coupling flange in the swivel direction to the operating position open hollow profile, which is radial and in the operating position on a corresponding profile of the Steering gear shaft can be pushed on. This will make it easy Assembly of the steering spindle part on the steering gear shaft enables.
Further advantages and features of the invention result from the Subclaims and from the following description of a preferred embodiment of the invention, which is based on the single drawing is shown.
The only drawing shows a perspective view part of an embodiment of an inventive Steering in the area of a connected to a steering gear lower part of the steering spindle by means of a universal joint an upper steering spindle part of a steering spindle arrangement connected.
A steering spindle arrangement ( 1 ) has an upper steering spindle part ( 2 ), which is mounted fixed to the vehicle in the area of a cockpit module and penetrates the cockpit from the engine compartment to an interior of a passenger car. At its free end projecting into the interior, the steering spindle part ( 2 ) is provided with a steering wheel in a manner which is not shown but is known. The upper steering spindle part ( 2 ) merges into a lower steering spindle part ( 4 ) by means of a universal joint ( 3 ), the lower end of which is connected to a coupling flange ( 5 ) for connecting the lower steering spindle part ( 4 ) to a steering gear shaft ( 6 ) of a steering gear ( 7 ) is provided. The steering spindle arrangement ( 1 ) is first preassembled in the cockpit module and only connected to the steering gear after the cockpit module has been installed in the interior of the passenger car. Although the upper steering spindle part ( 2 ) is held in the cockpit module by its mounting, the lower steering spindle part ( 4 ) on the other hand hangs down freely at the articulation point ( 3 ). So that the assembly of the cockpit module within the passenger compartment of the passenger car is not hindered by the freely oscillating lower steering spindle part ( 4 ), the lower steering spindle part ( 4 ) is assigned a mounting bracket ( 12 ), which is described in more detail below and which holds the steering spindle part ( 4 ) during the cockpit assembly in holds a defined mounting position. The mounting position of the steering spindle part ( 4 ) in the mounting bracket ( 12 ) is shown in the drawing on the right. The defined mounting position of the steering spindle part ( 4 ) also prevents a three oscillating steering spindle part ( 4 ) from rotating the steering wheel, so that a straight-ahead position of the steering wheel, which is essential for the connection to the steering gear ( 7 ), could no longer be easily checked . By means of the mounting bracket ( 12 ) serving as an assembly aid, on the other hand, the steering spindle part ( 4 ) is already held fixed in the straight-ahead position of the steering wheel during the assembly of the cockpit module.
The mounting bracket ( 12 ) has two legs ( 13 ) which overlap and flank the coupling flange ( 5 ) of the steering spindle part ( 4 ) on two opposite sides. Both legs ( 13 ) are curved over their length in an arc, the curvature being concentric to the hinge axis of the hinge point ( 3 ) and its radius of curvature being adapted to the swivel path of the coupling flange ( 5 ) around the hinge axis of the hinge point ( 3 ) such that the Coupling flange ( 5 ) is always guided at the same height by the two legs ( 13 ) of the mounting bracket ( 12 ) during a pivoting movement between its mounting position and its operating position (left side of the drawing). Both legs ( 13 ) of the mounting bracket ( 12 ) each have an angled retaining web ( 18 ) at their free ends, which are provided with locking points ( 19 ) for locking in corresponding locking points on a suitable carrier ( 20 ) of the cockpit module. The locking points ( 19 ) can be detachably latched into the corresponding cockpit-fixed locking points, so that the mounting bracket ( 12 ) can be connected to or detached from the carrier ( 20 ) of the cockpit module in a simple manner as required.
The mutually opposite inner sides of the legs ( 13 ) of the U-shaped mounting bracket ( 12 ) are designed so that they have both a locking area ( 14 ) for fixing the coupling flange ( 5 ) in its mounting position and a guide area ( 16 ) for a non-rotating Form pivoting of the coupling flange ( 5 ) from its mounting position into its operating position. The inner sides of the two legs ( 13 ) in the guide region ( 14 ) run parallel to one another and are arranged at a distance from one another which is somewhat greater than the distance between two outer surfaces of the coupling flange ( 5 ) which serve as guide surfaces and are opposite one another. The coupling flange ( 5 ) has a steering spindle area ( 9 ) and a stepped steering gear area ( 8 ), which are each designed as open hollow profiles that can be slid onto a hexagon. Both the lower steering spindle part ( 4 ) and the steering gear shaft ( 6 ) have a cross section in the form of a hexagon, so that the corresponding hollow profile areas of the coupling flange ( 5 ) in a simple manner radially onto the steering spindle part ( 4 ) or onto the steering gear shaft ( 6 ) can be pushed on and can be clamped onto the latter in a rotationally locking manner by means of the merely indicated fastening elements ( 10 ). In the illustrated embodiment, cone elements are provided as fastening elements ( 10 ) for fixing the coupling flange ( 5 ) free of play both on the steering spindle part ( 4 ) and on the steering gear shaft ( 6 ), which are braced on the respective hexagonal profile with the aid of screw connections.
The steering spindle area ( 9 ) of the coupling flange ( 5 ) is thus held in the locking area ( 14 ) of the two legs ( 13 ) of the mounting bracket ( 12 ) in such a way that it cannot twist within the inside of the legs ( 13 ). In the illustrated embodiment, the coupling flange ( 5 ) is fixed in its mounting position by two stops ( 15 ) projecting inwards from the inner sides of the legs ( 13 ), which engage behind the coupling flange ( 5 ) in its mounting position, so that it acts by gravity of the steering spindle part ( 4 ) cannot swing downwards. Due to the gravity of the steering spindle part ( 4 ) and the coupling flange ( 5 ), it lies rather in the assembly position of the steering spindle part ( 4 ) against the stops ( 15 ). In an exemplary embodiment of the invention, which is not shown, the coupling flange ( 5 ) is fixed in its assembly position in a frictional manner by narrowing the legs ( 13 ) of the mounting bracket ( 12 ) in this area. In order to be able to release the coupling flange ( 5 ) and thus also the steering spindle part ( 4 ), the legs ( 13 ) of the mounting bracket ( 12 ) can be elastically expanded by a certain amount in both exemplary embodiments. After spreading the legs ( 13 ), it is possible to pivot the steering spindle part ( 4 ) and thus also the coupling flange ( 5 ) into its operating position. In order to achieve an anti-rotation device for the steering spindle part ( 4 ) even during the pivoting of the coupling flange ( 5 ) into its operating position, the inner sides of the legs ( 13 ) form a guide area ( 16 ) following the locking area ( 14 ), by means of which the as Guide surfaces serving outer surfaces of the steering spindle area ( 9 ) of the coupling flange ( 5 ) are linearly guided. The guide area ( 16 ) narrows gradually up to a transverse web ( 17 ) of the mounting bracket ( 12 ) that connects the legs ( 13 ) to one another, so that the steering spindle area ( 9 ) of the coupling flange ( 5 ) is guided ever closer to the mounting position until a frictional engagement and thus a play-free guidance of the coupling flange ( 5 ) is achieved in the assembly position. The stop for the pivoting movement and thus the definition of the operating position is formed by the crossbar ( 17 ) of the mounting bracket ( 12 ).
The steering spindle arrangement ( 1 ) described above is first preassembled in a cockpit module for a passenger car by appropriately mounting the upper steering spindle part ( 2 ) which projects through the cockpit module. The freely projecting lower steering spindle part ( 4 ) is fixed in its mounting position in the mounting bracket ( 12 ), the mounting bracket ( 12 ) being locked in place with a corresponding support ( 20 ) of the cockpit module. This preassembled unit is inserted into the passenger compartment of the passenger car and the cockpit module is connected to the body in a vehicle-fixed manner. During this cockpit assembly, the steering spindle part ( 4 ) remains in the assembly position defined by the mounting bracket ( 12 ) relative to the cockpit module. After the assembly of the cockpit has been completed, the mounting bracket ( 12 ) is spread open, causing the steering spindle part ( 4 ) including its coupling flange ( 5 ) to pivot towards the steering gear shaft ( 6 ), which is already mounted on the vehicle, into the operating position. In this operating position, the steering spindle part ( 4 ) is held in a frictionally locking manner, so that the rotationally locking pivotal tensioning of the coupling flange ( 5 ) on the steering gear shaft ( 6 ) is made possible with the aid of the fastening elements ( 10 ). After connecting the steering spindle part ( 4 ) to the steering gear shaft ( 6 ), the mounting bracket ( 12 ) is removed, whereby the steering spindle arrangement ( 1 ) is released for rotation and a function of the steering.
In the illustrated embodiment, the coupling flange ( 5 ) is designed as a swivel flange which can be pushed radially onto the steering gear shaft ( 6 ). In an embodiment of the invention, not shown, the coupling flange is designed as a plug-in flange. This version is particularly suitable for serrations. Stop surfaces are provided between the mounting bracket and the coupling flange designed as a plug-in flange, which limit the travel and prevent the pull-out in the axial direction related to the lower steering spindle part.
