Oberschenkels 3 die wesentlichen Stützkräfte vom Hüftknoehen 1 auf den Oberschenkel J5 über denjenigen Abschnitt der Hüftkappe 5 übertragen werden, welcher relativ stark ausgebildet ist.
Die besondere Ausbildung der Hüftkappe 2 geht deutlich aus den Figuren 2 und 3 herv©r. Diesen ist zu entnehmen, daß die Innenkammer 4 der Hüftkappe 2 exzentrisch zu der Außenfläche 9 angeordnet ist. Außerdem ist diesen Figuren 2 und 3 zu entnehmen, daß die Wandung der Hüftkappe 2 mit Bohrungen 7 versehen ist, die auf der Außenseite 9 münden und unter der Oberfläche hinterfräst sind, so daß kleine Kammern 8 vorhanden sind, in die Zement beim Befestigen der Hüftkappe 2 zwecks ihrer festen Verankerung eindringen kann.
Anstelle von festen Bohrungen oder zusätzlich zu diesen können an der Außenseite der Hüftkappe an deren Randabschnitt sich senkrecht zu dem Rand erstreckende Riefen oder Rillen vorgesehen werden. Diese burgzinnenartigen Riefen können verhältnismäßig tief sein, wenn sie in dem verstärkt ausgebildeten Abschnitt der Hüftkappe angeordnet sind. Sie sind in besonderem Maße dazu geeignet, ein Verdrehen der Hüftkappe beim Gebrauch zu verhindern/

Claims (1)

    Schutzansprüohe
    1. Hüftkappe für eine Hüftprothese, welche einen im Oberschenkel eines Beines verankerten kugelförmigen Kopf besitzt, der drehbar in der Hüftkappe gehalten ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Hüftkappe (2) auö einer aus Kunststoff hergestellten, annähernd halbkugelförmigen Schale besteht, deren den Kopf (5) aufnehmende annähernd halbkugelförmig ausgebildete Kammer (4) exzentrisch zu der Außenfläche der Hüftkappe (2) angeordnet ist.
    2. Hüftkappe nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß in der Wandung der Hüftkappe (2) nach der Außenseite hin offene Bohrungen (7) angeordnet sind.
    5. Hüftkappe nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Bohrungen (7) hinterfräst sind.
    4. Hüftkappe nach einem oder mehreren der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Hüftkappe (2) zusätzlich zu den hinterfrästen Bohrungen (7) an ihrem Randabschnitt mit Riefen versehen ist, welche sich senkrecht zum Rand der Hüftkappe (2) erstrecken.
    5« Hüftkappe nach Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Riefen in dem verstärkt ausgebildeten Abschnitt der Hüftkappe angeordnet sind.
    6. Hüftkappe nach einem oder mehreren der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Hüftkappe aus Polyäthylen besteht.
