Betr.: Beschreibung des SchnellpipettiergerätesRe: Description of the rapid pipetting device
The innovation relates to a device that can be used to quickly and precisely refill reproducible amounts of liquid. There are devices of a similar design in which the glass parts are connected to the storage bottle by a plastic stopper with the corresponding conical bore 6. A metal holder gives the measuring cylinder additional support. These devices have the disadvantage that they can leak at the connection points, and the plastic stopper is opaque and any air bubbles that may appear cannot be seen. This makes the measurement result inaccurate.
The purpose of the innovation is to remedy this deficiency. The measuring part with
Valve consists of one piece and is connected to the storage bottle by a normal joint. Figure 1 shows the device with a view of
the scale, Figure 2, rotated by 90 ° with a view of the setting device
for the volume to be measured.
On the storage bottle (F) it sits 6cm from the middle up
split cylinder (C), at its lower end there is a normal ground joint.
Above the normal ground joint, a thin tube containing the inlet valve (V 1) is melted down. Located just above the normal ground joint
the nozzle (St) for venting or for connecting a drying tube in the case of hycroscopic liquids is a few cm above it
the outlet pipe (A) with the outlet valve (V 2) melted. It is so
attached so that the lower edge of the fully depressed suction piston (S)
stands slightly below the center of the opening, so that air bubbles form
between the aspirating liquid and the suction piston, can easily escape via the outlet pipe (A). Located at the top of the Meßyzlinder
the plane ground joint (P) with 2 opposing grooves,
It serves on the one hand as a stop for the plastic head (K) and on the other hand
as a guide for the pointer (Z) and the threaded spindle (G), the plastic head (K) is hollow and takes the compression spring (D) and the upper part
of the suction piston (S). The suction piston (S) has a beaded edge at its upper end, which serves as a counter bearing for the compression spring. Therewith
the suction piston is pressed into the plastic head up to the end position.
The lower end of the compression spring (D) sits on the flat joint (P). The nut is used to set the desired volume
(M 1), the nut (M 2) serves as a lock nut, the pointer (Z) points to
the set amount on the scale. When pressing down the plastic head
The set amount of liquid escapes through valve V 2 as far as it will go. When the suction piston goes up, limited by the
Mother (M i), the same amount is sucked in again from the supply bottle.
