At the top is the container 1 with a filler neck 3, at the bottom against it provided with an outlet 31. The filler tube 3 has an external thread 4 in such a way that its opening is tightly closed by a locking nut 5 is. Tuck is made by means of a flexible sealing tape 8, which is attached to its lower End at the point 7 with the container 1 and in its upper end with the locking nut 5 connected button 8 is rotatably mounted, secured against losing. in the Filler tube 3 is a sieve 9, which is preferably made of plastic is, used and is used to fill the coarser water when filling with disintegrated water To catch parts of sweat. The diameter of the sieve holes is about 1 millimeter. For cleaning the sieve 9 and the container 1 and for filling in active substances in these the sieve 9 must be easily removable. It is therefore at its upper level End provided with a flange 10 also serving as a sealing ring, on which it can be grasped and pulled out for cleaning.
In the outlet 3 'of the container 1, which has an internal thread, is a Outlet nut 11 screwed by means of an external thread 12, into which one on the left Outlet nozzle 13 with thread 14 and on the right a filter candle 15 with thread 16 screwed in are. The outlet nozzle 13 is by means of a closure piece 17, which against Losing is secured by means of a flexible securing band 18 and preferably can be designed as a cock or valve, can be tightly closed. The filter candle 15 consists of strongly pressed diatomaceous earth and shows inside a axially arranged tubular cavity 19, which is sealed with the outlet nozzle 13 is connected and serves as a collector for the purified water. Before use the device described, the container 1 is up to about 1/3 of its height with one made of activated, silver-bonded special activated carbon along with other additives existing filter mass 20 filled, which completely surrounds the filter candle 15.
According to a preferred embodiment, can. the water to be treated can be sucked in via a flexible suction line 21, which is preferably made of plastic, by means of a pump balloon of known type having two valves and a pipe 24 that can be connected to the container 1 by means of a screw connection 23.
After the filter material 20 has been filled in, the device described is used as follows: The contaminated and odorous water to be treated is conveyed through the filling pipe socket 3 or via the suction line 21 into the container 1. By repeatedly shaking the container 1, the filter material 20 is loosened so that it comes into good contact with the water to be treated. The container is then left to stand still for about 3 minutes, the water being processed and the filtering mass 20 settling again in the lower part of the container 1 around the filter candle 15. The treated water is filtered through the filter mass 20 and through the wall of the filter candle 15, the water being additionally treated when it seeps through the filter candle 15. The treated water fills the cavity 19 of the filter candle 15 and the cavity of the flow nozzle 13 slowly. The closure piece 17 can now be removed, or the tap provided in this or the valve combined with it can be opened and the treated, flawless and odorless clean water can be taken from the container 1 as drinking water. The discharge speed is practically about 1 liter per minute.
With normally polluted water, e.g. sea water taken from the bank the effect of the filter mass is sufficient for approx. 200 liters of water.
In the case of heavily soiled water, the effect of the Filtr @ 20 after processing approx. 150 to 180 liters exhausted to the point that they are replaced must become. The filter candle 15, however, can continue after cleaning has been carried out to be needed. The device described can: with appropriate composition the filter mass 20 can also be used as a water softener.
In the second example according to FIGS. 4 and 5, 1 shows a container flexible material, e.g. plastic or rubber: the inlet 3 and the outlet 3 ' are designed in the same way as in the first exemplary embodiment and are screwed in and screwed on Parts are therefore only indicated by dash-dotted lines. Such a container can with Not in use can be rolled up with the filled active ingredient mass, so that it takes up little space. The parts otherwise assigned reference numbers have the analogous sense as in the first embodiment.
The device described can not only be made of metal or plastic, but also be formed from a combination of these materials. Of course could another suitable regulating device such as rotary, Arrange toggle valves, slide valves or similar shut-off valves - the size of the device is adapted to the intended use and the water content of the container is limited for personal use to one to several liters, so that it is with the Travel, tour, military effects, etc. without taking up too much space, can be carried. It is essential that the muddy, loose and the suitably designed as a candle, cartridge or plate, replaceable filter inside the former lies.
