hin auch durch Umsetzung der entsprechenden Di- I0 reaktionen und damit zu schlechteren Ausbeuten,
chloralkylphosphite mit Salicylsäure hergestellt wer- Zweckmäßigerweise werden äquimolare Mengen
den. Diese Umsetzung muß in Lösungsmitteln und von den Reaktionskomponenten verwendet. Zur
in Gegenwart von tertiären Aminen durchgeführt Erzielung guter Ausbeuten kann· es erforderlich
werden. Beide Verfahren sind infolge der Not- sein, den einen oder anderen der beiden Reaktionswendigkeit
der Abtrennung der Aminhydrochloride 15 partner in 5- bis 10%igem molarem Überschuß zu
umständlich und führen außerdem häufig nur zu verwenden. Die Auswahl, welcher Partner im übermäßigen
Ausbeuten.
Es wurde nun gefunden, daß man 2-ß-Ch\oralkylester
des 4 - Oxo - 5,6 - benz -1,3,2 - dioxaphosphorinans in einfacher Weise und mit guter Ausbeute
dadurch erhält, daß man 2-Chlor-4-oxo-5,6-benz-1,3,2-dioxaphosphorinan
der Formel
P-Cl
mit einer Monoepoxydverbindung, gegebenenfalls in Gegenwart von Lösungsmitteln, bei einer Temperatur
von 0 bis 8O0C umsetzt.
schuß verwendet wird, hängt im wesentlichen davon ab, wie der nicht umgesetzte Teil aus dem Reaktionsprodukt entfernbar ist.
Die Verwendung von Lösungsmitteln kann in einigen Fällen zweckmäßig sein. Sie ist jedoch allgemein
nicht erforderlich.
Die Verfahrensprodukte stellen wertvolle Zwischenprodukte für die Herstellung von Derivaten des
Salicylphosphits dar. Sie sind außerdem als Additive für schwer entflammbare Polymere zu verwenden,
wobei sich der zusätzliche Chlorgehalt als außerordentlich vorteilhaft erweist. Sie können weiterhin
zur Herstellung von schwer entflammbaren PoIyestern und auch als Härter für Epoxydharze verwendet
werden.
101 g 2-Chlor-4-oxo-5,6-benz-l,3,2-dioxaphos-Es ist zwar bekannt, Phosphorsäureesterchloride 35 phorinan wurden in 100 g Benzol gelöst und in diese
mit einer Epoxydverbindung umzusetzen (deutsche Lösung 25 g Äthylenoxyd innerhalb von 3 Stunden
Auslegeschrift 1020 986 und USA.-Patentschrift eingeleitet. Die Reaktionstemperatur wurde dabei
2 791 574), jedoch ist die Reaktion nicht mit dem durch Kühlung auf 20 bis 25°C gehalten. Nach
erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren vergleichbar, da das weiteren 10 Stunden wurde das Lösungsmittel und
bisher zu verwendende Phosphorinan gleichzeitig 40 überschüssiges Äthylenoxyd im Vakuum abgezogen,
ein Phosphorsäureesterchlorid als auch ein gemischtes Es hinterblieben 124 g rohes 2-(ß-Chloräthoxy)-Anhydrid
aus Phosphor- und Carbonsäure darstellt. 4-oxo-5,6-benz-l,3,2-dioxaphosphorinan. Durch De-Da
bekanntlich Säureanhydride mit Epoxydverbin- stillation von 20 g des rohen Produktes wurden
düngen im allgemeinen unter Spaltung der Säure- 19 g (95% der Theorie) der reinen Verbindung vom
anhydridgruppierung reagieren, ist es überraschend, 45 Kp.0,6 = 126 bis 128°C erhalten,
daß bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren selektiv ^ · i_* 1 <-■ r> tr ^m n

Monoepoxyverbindungen unter Erhaltung der Anhydridgruppierung umgesetzt werden.
Die Umsetzung des zu verwendenden Phosphorinans mit der Monoepoxydverbindung erfolgt in
der Weise, daß das Säurehalogenid des Phosphors mit dem Epoxyd unter Ringöffnung zu einer ß-Chloralkylphosphorigsäuregruppe
unter Erhaltung der cyclischen gemischten Anhydridstruktur des Phosphorinans reagiert.
Das als Ausgangsmaterial zu verwendende Phosphorinan kann beispielsweise nach bekannten Verfahren
durch Umsetzung von Salicylsäure mit Phosphortrichlorid hergestellt werden.
Als Monoepoxyde eignen sich beispielsweise diejenigen der einfach-ungesättigten Kohlenwasser-
(Molekulargewicht 246,5):

101 g 2-Chlor-4-oxo-5,6-benz-l,3,2-dioxaphosphorinan wurden in 100 g Benzol gelöst und zu
dieser Lösung 30 g Propylenoxyd in 2 Stunden hinzugetropft. Die Temperatur wurde während der
Reaktion durch Kühlung unterhalb 400C gehalten. Anschließend wurde die Mischung noch 1 Stunde
auf 60"C erhitzt und dann das Lösungsmittel im
stoffe wie von Äthylen, Propylen, Butylen, Cyclo- Vakuum abgezogen. Es wurden 131g rohes 2-(ß-Chlor-
hexen, Styrol, ferner halogenhaltige Epoxyde (Epi- propoxy)-4-oxo-5,6-benz-l,3,2-dioxaphosphorinan
chlorhydrin), die Epoxyäther einwertiger Alkohole 65 erhalten, in dem durch Hydrolyse nur noch Spuren
z. B. von Methyl-, Äthyl-, Butyl-, 2-Äthylhexyl-, ionogenen Chlors nachzuweisen waren. Durch De-
Dodecylalkohol, Epoxyäther einwertiger Phenole stillation von 10 g des rohen Produktes wurden 8 g
(von Phenol, Kresol sowie anderen in Ortho- oder reines 2-(/f-Chlorpropoxy)-4-oxo-5,6-benz-l,3,2-di-
oxaphosphorinan von Kp.0,5 = 128 bis 130°C erhalten.

Zu 101 g 2-Chlor-4-oxo-5,6-benz-l,3,2-dioxaphosphorinan
wurden bei 40° C 46 g Epichlorhydrin im Verlauf von 3 Stunden hinzugetropft. Die Reaktionstemperatur wurde nach einem Drittel der Zugabe
auf Zimmertemperatur gesenkt. Nach 5 Stunden der Nachreaktion bei Zimmertemperatur wurden
147g rohes 2-(/3,/?-Dichlor-n-propoxy)-4-oxo-5,6-benz-1,3,2-dioxaphosphorinan
erhalten. Durch Destillation von 40 g des rohen Produktes wurden 33 g der reinen Verbindung vom Kp.0,4 = 172 bis 174° C
erhalten.

Reaktionsgemisch wurde weitere 2 Stunden bei 4O0C stehengelassen und dann das Lösungsmittel im
Vakuum abgezogen. Es hinterblieben 203 g eines rohen Produktes, aus dem durch Destillation im
Vakuum 163 g des reinen 2-(2-Äthylhexoxy-j8-chlorpropoxy)-4-oxo-5,6-benz-l,3,2-dioxaphosphorinan
vom Kp.0,4 = 198 bis 2000C gewonnen wurde.

- Patentanspruch:Verfahren zur Herstellung von 2-ß-Chloralkylestern des 4-Oxo-5,6-benz-l,3,2-dioxaphosphorinans, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man 2-Chlor-4-oxo-5,6-benz-l,3,2-dioxaphosphorinan der FormelP-Clmit einer Monoepoxydverbindung, gegebenenfalls in Gegenwart von Lösungsmitteln, bei einer Temperatur von 0 bis 8O0C umsetzt.
