Description

  • Aus Schaumstoff bestehendes Band für Isolierzwecke in der Elektrotechnik, insbesondere für Kabel oder in der Kältetechnik Zusatz zum Patent: 1 142395 Die Erfindung betrifft ein aus Schaumstoff bestehendes Band für Isolierzwecke in der Elektrotechnik, insbesondere für Kabel oder in der Kältetechnik, und bezweckt eine weitere Ausbildung des Erfindungsgegenstandes nach dem Hauptpatent 1 142 395 und/oder nach dem Zusatzpatent 1186921.
  • Die im Hauptpatent 1 142 395 angegebene Schaumstoffisolierung besteht darin, daß ein Schaumstoffband einfach oder mehrfach aus einer Schaumstoffolie, die in ihrer Längsrichtung gefaltet ist, besteht und an der offenen Längskante durch Verschweißen verschlossen ist. Außerdem können nach dem Zusatzpatent 1 186 921 in das Schaumstoffband nach dem Hauptpatent 1 142 395 ein oder mehrere Verstärkungsfäden, vorzugsweise Glasseidefäden, eingelegt sein, um einmal die Zugfestigkeit in Längsrichtung der Schaumstoffisolierung zu erhöhen, zum andern ein Einreißen der Kante des Schaumstoffbandes zu verhindern.
  • Es hat sich jedoch gezeigt, daß der Schweißvorgang beim Verschließen der offenen Längskante der Schaumstoffisolierung das Schaumstoffband unmittelbar in der Schweißnaht versprödet, so daß es hier besonders leicht zum Einreißen neigt.
  • Um das zu vermeiden, wird erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, das fertige Schaumstoffband nach dem Verschweißen seiner offenen Längskante einem Walzvorgang zu beiden Seiten der Schweißnaht zu unterziehen. Dadurch ist es möglich, die ursprünglichen mechanischen Festigkeitseigenschaften des Schaumstoffbandes nahezu ganz wiederherzustellen.
  • Aus der deutschen Patentschrift 882 143 ist eine Vorrichtung zum Schweißen von thermoplastischen Kunststoffen bekannt. Diese Vorrichtung zeichnet sich aus durch einen schneidenförmigen Schweißkolben mit einer Führung und einer federbelasteten Vorschubrolle für den zur Herstellung der Schweißnaht dienenden Kunststoffdraht. Auf diese Weise kann der Schweißdraht mit einem bestimmten Druck in die Schweißnaht eingebracht werden.
  • Die deutsche Patentschrift 840 598 befaßt sich mit einem Warmluftschweißgerät zum Verschweißen von Kunststoffen, insbesondere Folien. Das Besondere an diesem Gerät besteht darin, daß die Schweißdüse mit der Warmluftaustrittsseite eines mit Druckgas beschickten Ranque-Wirbelrohres vorzugsweise unter Bildung einer Baueinheit verbunden ist. Diese Vorveröffentlichung befaßt sich also mit einer besonderen Art der Erwärmung der Schweißnaht.
  • In der deutschen Patentschrift 1 032 520 ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Folien oder Schutz- hüllen, insbesondere Überzügen für elektrische Kabel und Leitungen aus Polyisobutylenmischungen und einem geringen Anteil eines vulkanisierbaren und vernetzbaren Stoffes, der mit dem vorgenannten Stoff zu einem Zwischenerzeugnis vereinigt wird. Dieses Zwischenerzeugnis soll nach einem besonderen Kennzeichen dieses Verfahrens einem querschnittsvermindernden Streckprozeß unterworfen werden. Diese Streckbehandlung dient aber nicht der Verb esserung der Werkstoffeigenschaften, sondern sie hat lediglich konstruktive Bedeutung bei dem Verfahren zur Herstellung der betreffenden Folien.
  • Die deutsche Auslegeschrift 1 082 041 befaßt sich schließlich mit einer Vorrichtung zum Verschweißen der Stoßfugen thermoplastischer Bodenbeläge. Die Vorrichtung zeichnet sich unter anderem dadurch aus, daß der Schweißfaden unter Druck zugeführt werden kann. Weiterhin ist erwähnt, daß ein sogenanntes Gleitstück vorgesehen sein kann, das mindestens einen Teil des Gewichts der Einrichtung auf die Schweißstelle überträgt. Außerdem ist eine Glättungswalze für die Schweißnaht vorgesehen.
  • Demgegenüber wird erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, das fertige Schaumstoffband nach dem Schweißen einem Walzvorgang zu beiden Seiten der Schweißnaht zu unterziehen. Auf diese Weise gelingt es, die ursprünglich vorhandenen mechanischen Festigkeitseigenschaften des Kunststoffs fast völlig wiederherzustellen.

Claims (1)

  1. Patentanspruch: Aus Schaumstoff bestehendes Band für Isolierzwecke in der Elektrotechnik, insbesondere für Kabel, oder in der Kältetechnik, nach dem Hauptpatent 1 142 395, gemäß dem das Schaumstoffband einfach oder mehrfach aus einer Schaumstoffrolle, die in ihrer Längsrichtung gefaltet ist, besteht und an der offenen Längskante durch Verschweißen geschlossen ist, und/oder nach dem Zusatzpatent 1 186 921, nach dem vor dem Verschweißen des Schaumstoffbandes in dieses ein oder mehrere Verstärkungsfäden, beispielsweise Glasseidefäden, eingelegt sind, d a d II r c h gekennzeichnet,.daß das Schaumstoffband nach dem Verschweißen seiner offenen Längskante einem Walzvorgang zu beiden Seiten der Schweißnaht unterzogen wird.
