Description
Couch press for paper machines The invention relates to a Couch press for paper machines, the lower press roll of which is designed as a suction roll is.
Coarse presses for paper machines are in various embodiments known. In particular, it is known to design the lower press roll as a suction roll, the upper press roll forming a press nip with the lower suction press roll, namely at the point where the machine screen touches the suction roll. It is the suction press roll on its perforated roll body with many arranged one above the other Hoses made from metal sieve or perforated sheet metal or from water-permeable artificial stone or similar water- and air-permeable solid material as a suction cover, that continuously during operation by one or more narrow suction nozzles and pressure nozzles are drained and cleaned. Nonetheless, the suction is great unsatisfactory, especially when it comes to couch presses for paper machines acts on which cellulose, cotton wool, tissue paper or similar soft materials should be produced. With other rubber presses it is basically known to equip the housing of the suction press roll with circumferential grooves on the bottom Holes for sucking off the squeezed water are provided, namely located the grooves on the outer circumference. This narrows the cross-section of the channels against the suction channels, the surfaces of the channels leading to the suction channels are rounded. Finally, it is known to have suction chambers within the suction press roll to be provided, which start from the narrowest point of the nip and are in front of this extend to a point from the underside of the paper web or its Carrier is not yet touched to the accumulating in front of the nip press water suction through the bores via the suction chamber through the paper web or its sieve. Despite these known measures, they were previously used in paper machines Couch presses for the production of tissue paper, but also cellulose, wadding and similar soft material are not particularly suitable.
The delicate texture of the paper web attached to the couch end of the Sieves of a machine used to manufacture these soft materials, namely allows the use of strong suction, as is the case with known devices are intended for drawing off more water than is natural peeled off the paper web as it progresses along the wet end of the machine has been not to. Therefore, the number of suction boxes in comparison with the number used with stronger paper, e.g. B. on one or two. Otherwise the paper web would get stuck in the gaps in the wire pulled, so that the separation of the wire on the couch roll difficult or even becomes impossible. The paper web practically reaches the couch roll afterwards full water content left over from drainage. A slight decrease the water content through more modest use of the suction effects with a limited one The number of suction boxes has hardly any advantages. The application works for a similar reason from suction effects through a couch roll to difficult acceptance conditions of the Paper web from the wire or even makes it impossible to remove the paper web from the wire. It is therefore common in machines for such delicate materials as tissue paper or cellulose wadding or similar soft materials to work with a smooth press roll. The upper press roller of the couch can only rest with light pressure, there any higher pressure causes water to be squeezed out on the entry side of the line of contact of the two rollers or at the narrowest point between the two would result in However, where usually no provision is made to remove the water is. At higher speeds when the machine is in operation, the described Problems are particularly critical, and what makes the situation even more difficult, at a stronger sieve was chosen for higher working speeds so that it can withstand higher speeds.
The invention is based on the object of a couch press for paper machines to create, which in particular for the production of tissue paper, cellulose wadding u. dgL is suitable, and wants to prevent these materials in a wet state reach the bounce roller of the following wet press.
Starting from a couch press for paper machines, the lower one The impact roller is designed as a suction roller, the invention consists in the union the following features known per se: a) that the upper baffle roller has a bounce gap forms with the lower suction press roll at the point where the machine screen the suction press roll first touches, b) that the jacket of the suction press roll with rotating Grooves is equipped, at the bottom of which there are holes for sucking off the squeezed out Water are provided, and c) that the arranged within the suction press roll Suction chamber - starting from the narrowest point of the nip - is in front of this extends to a point from the underside of the paper web or its The sieve is no longer touched to prevent the bounce water accumulating in front of the nip through the holes above the suction chamber without obstruction by the paper web or sucking off their sieve. In particular, the invention can be implemented in various ways realize. Thus, a proposal of the invention is that the grooves in the housing the suction press roll form a continuous helical line. Otherwise can to the suction chamber not covered by the paper web or its screen, a suction chamber connect the suction press roll, which is covered by this.
The advantages achieved by the invention are mainly in it see that in the gutting press according to the invention, soft materials like them in paper machines for the manufacture of tissue paper or the manufacture of cellulose wadding are common, can be treated without damage to the materials occurring or the latter stay too wet. In the couch press according to the invention by connecting the chamber or department with a fan that creates an inflow of air inward at great speed is able to generate constantly Water withdrawn under conditions that the paper web on the wire does not have any suction subject, which would pull them into the gaps in the wire mesh, there the perforations through the paper web are not sealed. So if that too High speed inflow from a suction device inside the suction press roll arises, the suction on the paper web is so low that it is disadvantageous does not affect. Thus the invention achieves through the combination of the claimed Features a significant functional improvement and, as a result, the possibility of to handle the materials described properly.
In the following the invention is illustrated by means of only one exemplary embodiment Illustrative drawing explained in more detail; It shows Fig. 1 in a schematic Representation of the couch press of a paper machine designed according to the invention, Fig. 2 shows, on an enlarged scale, a section through the suction roll shown in FIG Couch press and FIG. 3 in a scale corresponding to FIG. 2 shows the elevation of the Suction roll.
In the couch press for paper machines shown in the figures, a lower baffle roller 1 is provided, which is designed as a suction press roller, as well as an upper baffle roller 2. The moist paper web 3 lies on the machine screen 4 and is transported with this via the roller 5 into the couch press 1, introduced 2, wherein the machine screen 4 is deflected via the suction roll 1 and recycled. The paper web 3 is taken up behind the couch press by a bump felt 6, which serves to guide the paper web to the wet press. A guide roller is provided here for deflecting the felt 6. The upper press roll 2 forms a bounce nip with the lower suction press roll 1 at the point where the machine screen 4 touches the suction press roll 1 first. Inside the suction press roll 1 there are suction chambers 8, starting from the narrowest point of the nip, which extend in front of this to a point that is no longer touched by the underside of the paper web 3 or its wire 4 , which is in front of the nip accumulating impact water can be sucked off through the bores 9 above the suction chamber 8 without hindrance by the paper web 3 or its carrier 4 .
